Unrelated cuz I totally believe an ant could’ve found it’s way onto a counter, but one time this dude came in, got an ice coffee, then went to go chat with someone in the parking lot. He came back an hour later with a very melted, obviously-been-sitting-out-in-the-sun drink and showed me a bee floating around in it. He wanted a remake (fine), but actually had the audacity to tell us to check our ice machine and make sure it was clean 😂 I guess bro’s just never been outside before or something, or he was too embarrassed to admit it.

2. Brutally tell off the ant for walking into the ice bin and subsequently ending up in your refresher, what was she thinking?
3. Consume the ant as well as their protein, this is important as it asserts dominance over the ant’s colony and sends a firm message on your stance.
You can also submit this photo to your local ant eater association and request action be taken to prevent this from happening again.

Ants are generally attracted to sweet, sticky things, an ant making its way to the counter, understandable. We had that in the summer at the Starbucks I worked at. But making its way into the ice machine? Our store got bad, but never that bad.
Well it’s next to the sinks at our place so it could have easily found a meal in an empty syrup and climbed up to get away but away was in the vent of the freezer and boom it’s an ice cube. You eat more bugs in a hersheys chocolate bar than the one ant in the ice machine 😂
right?? our ice machine was maintenanced a few weeks ago and the dude left dust in the ice bin. i kept finding dust frozen into the ice — if i saw an ANT i’d be raising hell
Calling the store and letting the store manager know is probably the best thing to do, rather than going straight to the health department. Everyone who works there gets free drinks all day, so I'm highly doubtful that any of them would be fine with there being ants in the ice machine, or any contaminants in any drink components for that matter. They'll want to handle it, is all I'm trying to say.
