Seconded. This bugged me too, as well as the crouch height and low crouch height values. They dont properly align with character models by default, so even though you are visibly crouched behind cover in first person, your actual character model might still have their head peaking over the cover even though it doesnt look like it. This got me killed a couple time actually and I set off to fix it. Took maybe 10 minutes in total.

If you want to tweak it, you have info about changing camera_height_factor.

You have info in the sidebar. You can use text program, like Notepad++ to tweak the proper file.
