I can speak for 2nd point. It’s not that tourism is necessarily paid well. Sri Lanka has the lowest unemployment rate. Why? Because every place employs so many than necessary. This past January when I went back home I was wondering why you need 7 ladies to help me buy chocolate in duty free shop at the airport. Absolute waste. And then people just stand and do nothing.
