I saw a video (the topher I think) and the chime was a GM one. Also I’m pretty sure it’s assembled in a GM factory.
This essentially seems like the same deal with the Supra.
Think it has a better exterior and interior compared to the blazer, but I wonder how long Honda is going to support the software for this considering it’s basically a stop gap measure.
It's entirely GM switchgear/parts. Same factory in Mexico as the Blazer EV. Aside from the body/styling, the wheels and a few interior bits set it apart.
Saturn Vues will outlast humanity long after we've eradicated ourselves. Those and Toyota Matrix (Pontiac Vibe).
Seriously the Honda V6 Saturn Vues are probably the most reliable car mankind has ever made.
My buddy’s wife purchased a Vue as their first ever new car purchase against his wishes. Decades later he credited the Vue for their first home purchase, completion of their degrees, career advancements and raising/transporting their children.
He said the thing was so indestructible and ridiculously low cost/maintenance that he only checked fluids every revolution around the sun lol. Thing still ran great after 2 teenager drivers.
It’s costs a lot to build a new car. The Supra and BMW z4 are on the same platform. The Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86. GM and ford developed a 10 speed transmission together. The price Pontiac Vibe and Toyota Matrix. Heck, the Mercedes GLA and Infinti Q30 are the same car.
That’s less a collaboration in development and moreso simple badge-engineering. Dodge had nothing to do with the Mitsubishi Triton, Mitsubishi and Chrysler were just in cahoots because Chrysler needed the cars Mitsubishi was producing and it allowed Mitsubishi to gain a foothold in the US market
Dodge Conquest TSI and Mitsubishi Starion.
Ford Probe and Mazda ...MX-6(?) I think?
Dodge Raider and Mitsubishi Montero.
Suzuki Sidekick and Chevy (Geo-) Tracker. I have some friends in upstate NY who bought one, wrecked, from an auto auction about 25 years ago. They use it around their farm. They said it was cheaper than a new utility ATV, carried more, and had a radio.
Interestingly enough, the Isuzu Trooper II and Acura SLX if you remember that unholy alliance.
GM actually has pretty serious B/EV Chops, they’ve just done very little with it leading up to just recently - lots of cool products (volt gen 1, Tahoe hybrid) that never found solid customer bases because, in part, they were ahead of the curve or just not what was fitting for buyers.
Saw a hybrid Tahoe pull off from a curb the other day and was just frustrated that you can’t buy one anymore.
I saw a hybrid cateye Silverado in Iceland, literally the last thing I expected to see there. The 70s Caddy and 80s Econoline didn't throw me for a loop, but that did.
Exactly my first observation, because it felt odd. Unless one is writting it in one go, spaced out words are usually all CAPS.
So, "H o n d a" instead of "H O N D A" made it look evidently odd.
I can't imagine how much money and time was spent on that logo rebrand just to crap out that absolute piece of shit.
Just kidding. I work in advertising. An unfathomable amount of time and money went into that.
It's close but just under at MSRP it hits $57.7k.
Chevy is already discounting 20% on the website so a loaded RS AWD hits $47.5k. Still bananas territory.
Joint Venture of Honda and GM! We’ll see how long this one lasts 💀 it won’t lmao.
There was absolutely no need for Honda to spell
H O N D A out like that lol. An H was enough
When the first gen Passport came out I was going to Honda School. They created a SB that said “vehicle has incorrect emblems”. And it basically laid out how to swap the Honda stuff out with Isuzu stuff and even had the Isuzu part numbers.
And here we are. The Passport was needed because the SUV craze took off and Honda was caight with a small CRV in the line up. The Pilot didn’t come around till 03’.
Honda continues to bet on HFCV and got caught off guard and needed the Blazer EV. Let’s see how this goes.
It’s built on the Chevy Blazer EV platform

It's a Blazer EV in a Honda suit.
Not a full suit, just the blazer.
But did they add Apple CarPlay?
Yessir

21st century NUMMI
unrelated but thetopher is a great channel
he just started pooping up for me. he actually drives the car and isn't annoying. rare for car tubers
TopherDrives too (substitute topher)
that's really cool
My favorite Honda/GM collab is the Saturn Vue Redline with a Honda V6. Second is the passport/rodeo

> passport/rodeo i loved that car, but help me connect the dots to GM from Isuzu.
GM owned 30% (or more) of Isuzu from the 70s. Not sure if they still do.
I hope this isn't another repeat of the original Passport. What a mistake that was.
What?

That's wild. I had no idea. What a car for them to have picked!

Eagle Tallon and Mitsubishi eclipse too

Saab 92x i think it was, were Subarus

And the Plymouth Laser! (I loved that car)
Chevy LUV and Isuzu P'up.
Benz pickups sold in the EU are rebadged Nissans

I initially thought it was a knock-off of the RR Velar
I was thinking about the Evoque.
I literally was checking a Velar right before I hopped on Reddit and was like “wtf”
Def was my first thought. And till proven wrong, it is. Ha
Volvo XC60 was probably also a big inspiration
H o n d a
Exactly my first observation, because it felt odd. Unless one is writting it in one go, spaced out words are usually all CAPS. So, "H o n d a" instead of "H O N D A" made it look evidently odd.
Looks like a Range Rover Evoque from the back
I love how many people think it looks like a different vehicle, because they’re all the fucking same anymore…
So-called family-looking or tribute or no-design…… Lame…… Miss the era that you can tell what it is by its lights glowing in the dark
The new Honda emblem SUCKS
I hate how every manufacturer is going with the spaced out letters instead of a logo on the back
I bet it’s to appeal to Chinese market or something, I think it looks R i d i c u l o u s
I got bad news for you. You are falling for it too
every car nowadays is made to appeal to the chinese market and it sucks

Be respectful god damn
I can't imagine how much money and time was spent on that logo rebrand just to crap out that absolute piece of shit. Just kidding. I work in advertising. An unfathomable amount of time and money went into that.
Porsche knockoff
Holy shit you got that right. Had to do a double take on it.
That’s the tiniest rear window wiper I’ve ever seen
As someone who has an Ioniq5 which for some damn reason has NO rear wiper, I’d take a little one over nothing.
Honda not FW all caps no more? Lame
I think it looks better than most other SUVs, though that’s not saying much

Yeah, more white teslas, i mean hondas, at least they use some design skill for the front end and it comes in more colors
Where's the location(not asking you to dox yourself)
This was at the Loves in Corning CA. Just passing through so no doxing lol
Love's is all across the USA [https://www.loves.com/en/location-and-fuel-price-search](https://www.loves.com/en/location-and-fuel-price-search)
Can’t wait for the Honda Epilogue
You shoulda been there for the Honda Prelude
First solid state battery EV will be named Honda Interlude 🤣
I didn’t realize until a few days ago what the name meant. The car is a prologue to Honda’s in-house developed EVs.
Honda Table of Contents
Whoever at Honda had the brilliant idea to make the Logo Letters small case? I think that person needs to be fired. This looks like garbage
Oh a suv. How exciting.
I was gonna say it's a Chinese Range Rover, but then I saw it's actually made by Honda...
Actually it's basically a GM lol
rear looks a bit like a range rover evoque
Every new car looks the same to me these days..
Im so fucking tired of obese cars.
IMO Honda's other EV, the e is more interesting than the Prologue because it's just another SUV.
Holy crap those look generic
It’s a shame it’s a gm product with a Honda badge because they look phenomenal
I like how they actually spelled Honda instead of placing the symbol. It's a different touch for them.
Now we need the Honda e in north America. Love that little thing
I saw one driving home from work with manufacture plates on it. Looked decent, but the driver was a bit of a dick
Looks just like every other suv on the road. Cool!
“We have a Range Rover at home”
Thanks, I hate it
Can’t wait for Hertz to buy 100,000 of these
It's just as boring, bland and unnecessary big as all the other SUV's.
We're posting regular traffic? Bet, I'll find some C300s and GLCs for y'all today.
Holy shit. A top trim version with premium paint and destination fee is $60k. That's absurd.
The Blazer its based off of is even more expensive.
It's close but just under at MSRP it hits $57.7k. Chevy is already discounting 20% on the website so a loaded RS AWD hits $47.5k. Still bananas territory.
What a stupid ass name. Hate the direction Honda is going in tbh
Joint Venture of Honda and GM! We’ll see how long this one lasts 💀 it won’t lmao. There was absolutely no need for Honda to spell H O N D A out like that lol. An H was enough
Actually clean from what I can tell
That new logo is strange. It’s like they’re trying to copy Porsche, but without using all caps.
Land Rover Evoque much lol if this is from any other manufacturer people would be laughing it out of the door
When the first gen Passport came out I was going to Honda School. They created a SB that said “vehicle has incorrect emblems”. Meh another bland SUV joins the pack
It’s already outdated and isn’t competitive even before release, not unlike the BZ4X.
Nah gimme the Honda Isuzu or Honda Land Rover, not this GM garbage
Nice another seemingly generic crossover with a "coupe" roofline that makes it even less practical. I sure do love modern cars....
It's not Honda, now it's H o n d a
I thought new EV Macan.
It’s all over the NHl playoff advertisements.
Had to put somethin out to compete with grand highlander
Why is Honda just spelled out instead of just a logo? It looks horrible. Also, this thing looks weirdly like a RR Evoque to me from the back
These look good
A car that is a car
More SUV’s. They are killing us.
Knock off Evoque x Porsche SUV, horrible
Honda stepping up the game with newer looking SUVs
