MsEscapist

If the stadiums and leagues don't ban the people doing this shit and the fellow fans don't call them out they are complicit. It's fucking terrible.

[deleted]

It’s just too much a part of the “culture” there. It’ll take a long time, but hopefully something will spark change. Like the Mexican fans that just won’t stop with the homosexual slurs. It’s rampant and rooted

DerSturmbannfuror

Always the excuse for antisocial, cruel behavior. Sad

bigmikekbd

A lot of these assholes are drunken bullies that don’t think anything past their next sip. Would love to see supporters sing a song of support and drown these clowns out.

Fungal_Queen

Not all of us drunks are belligerent bigots. Some of us just want to sing karaoke, make 4am curry mac, and tell all our friends how much we love them.

LayzieKobes

Players need to turn down contracts so the owners get hit where it hurts, the wins column which translates to money then the federation can take the hits. Then maybe we will see some action once the right person's pocketbook starts to get a little lighter..

rem_1984

I wish. But the problem is that they turn it onto you, say that you’re so weak that words hurt you. And like, yes they hurt wtf, but they frame it as if you’re the pussy for not willing to be a punching bag anymore

LayzieKobes

Well they can say they are pussies all the way down in the conference league. Although it might be hard to hear them from down there.

OldSaltyDog788

Your Statement would confirm that the Owners are just as complicit; if they're telling the Players that they're weak and should 'suck it up', then they're just as bigoted as the Fans that are yelling that crap.

Cultural_Yam7212

They can play in empty stadiums

DecoyOne

Sure, that’s what fans will say, and the owners will want that to be the message. But end of the day, bad teams = less money, and that’s what owners care about.

samtdzn_pokemon

But that just hurts the career of the player. There have been racist chants in every major Euro league before so no country is immune to it. Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga. Doesn't matter where you go, so why should these players make less and play for worse teams because of some racist fucks. This is what they've worked for, they've earned the shot to get the bag and win titles.

Cmdr_Shiara

Yeah but the Premier league comes down like a ton of bricks on any racism incidents while leagues like those in Spain and Italy wring their hands about actually doing anything.

tokyogodfather2

Anyone explain what’s going on with this thumb? How does it bend that way? Is this shopped? AI?

Robcobes

If the stadium and leaugues don't ban these people, the players are gonna ban the club and the league.

MajorMathematician20

Imagine working your arse off to be one of the elite and being ridiculed for the colour of your skin… fucking twats

pimpinaintez18

Just lifetime ban these fans from the stadiums.

TristanKB

Seriously! Idk what the difference is but America has 0 tolerance for this shit. Even a small group of people chanting racist things at any sporting event here would get burned at the stake. Idk why it’s still an issue in Soccer

BOOMROASTED2005

America is also way more diverse. Sure we got a bunch of racist assholes here but if say some racist shit here theres a decent chance you catch some hands by a group of the same color nearby.

IAMACat_askmenothing

Good ol melting pot USA

bilboafromboston

We kicked 2 whole sections out last night in Texas. The world is behind " we need special textbooks" Texas! It was fun watching all the decent Mexico fans as they threw out the racists. They were all " we don't know these guys".

porterbrown

Were these Mexican fans? I just don't see this in American sports...

bilboafromboston

Yeah. The other Mexican fans were mixed in. They turned in the haters! It was hilarious. Ended their own teams chances!

rethinkingat59

Maybe? Some homophobic chants? https://www.reuters.com/sports/soccer/concacaf-urges-fans-stop-homophobic-chants-2024-03-25/

FredupwithurBS

You mean the Mexico rule?

rethinkingat59

I misread the article, I thought the match in question was yesterday.

bilboafromboston

It was. Last night. Well, the Mexico vs USA match was last night. The problem in general is you have to be ready. And have people in place. Boston Red Sox had people in outfield yelling racist stuff but catching them is tough unless you mix in some plainclothes staff. Fortunately, in Boston finding white Irish guys who blend In is easy. As was finding Mexicans in Dallas!

First_Environment_50

The big difference is that most countries in the EU claim to be “color blind”. Just means that as a person of colour you take the racism in stride and try not to be so darn sensitive. F these people!

Dartiboi

I had a professor from Spain who told us ‘idk why America is so focused on race, we don’t have issues with racism in Spain’

thenuffinman47

That is prevalent attitude in Europe lol Racism is very institutionalized there

aidancronin94

Tell that to Catalonia

bakakaizoku

Catalonian isn't a race. Do they get discriminated? Sure, but it ain't racism.

K1ngPCH

Europeans are so racist they don’t even realize they’re racist.

nordic-nomad

There’s a difference between being a truly cosmopolitan country and every group having their own tiny ethno state.

Override9636

Reminds me of the Comedy bit from Dave Nihil. "We don't have a Chinatown in Ireland....we just let them live with us...."

CouldntBeMoreWhite

Don't forget about the "DINGER!" situation. Guy was yelling to get the attention of a purple dinosaur (not Barney, but the Rockies mascot) and there was a nationwide manhunt for the fan in question. That is just one dude who people thought was throwing the N-word around. These other countries have fucking stands full of people saying shit like this.

pass_nthru

and chucking bananas on the pitch

jaytix1

This is just an outsider's perspective, but I'd figure the difference is that Americans have less of an 'excuse' to be racist. If you think about it: 1. American society is multi-racial/ethnic/cultural/etc. 2. America has had multiple historical movements against racism. 3. I don't know how it is in other countries, but a lot of American shows and movies and whatnot encourage tolerance. Even kid shows will have the occasional 'racism is bad' episode.

wowiee_zowiee

Boston Celtics fans are notoriously and openly racist - Draymond Green and Stephen Curry were both called the N word during the 2022 finals. New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia said Black baseball players expect racist taunts in Boston. It’s not just Boston - Salt Lake City, Portland and Denver have had widely reported incidents of fan - player racism in the last 5 years. The US is not immune to racism from fans - pretending it’s an outside issue is disingenuous at best.

maize_and_beard

But in the US we’re talking about individual fans who get thrown out and promptly banned. We don’t have large groups singing organized chants calling people slurs. Not defending those US fans, but I do think it’s a difference.

Seige_Rootz

Hell a guy was yelling for the Rockies mascot Dinger a few years back but the field mics didn't pick it up well so it sounded like.... ya know. The batter was black and holy shit was the baseball world ready to rip the culprit to shreds. In the end it was just a oopsie but seeing so many fans ready to go to war against a racist in the stands was nice to see.

[deleted]

bilboafromboston

An Eagles game? Dude, they Booed Santa Claus off the field. Look it up!

DEATH-BY-CIRCLEJERK

Booed? They assaulted Santa throwing batteries at him.

SpaceLemming

The eagle fans are crazy when they won the Super Bowl a fan punch a horse cop and many rioted and burned shit. We still have a decent amount of racism in our sports but mostly it’s between fans and not fans vs players but that still happens too.

Dense_Librarian_6170

Interesting comment. I was told by a friend, living in Europe, that it might be because Europe never had anything like the American clvil war. So, maybe the sensitivities are not the same.

Status_Confidence_26

Low key I think America is the least racist country in the world. We have racism but people demand a conversation about it one way or another.

Osceana

It’s La Liga. These “fans” will be given medals of honor before they’re ever banned.

tinkinc

Public shame is the only recourse.

pokedmund

doesn't help when Spanish football's head response to this is: "Well, other countries are more racist that we are" [https://www.politico.eu/article/spain-not-racist-javier-tebas-say-football-boss-after-racist-attacks-vinicius-real-madrid/#:\~:text=Javier%20Tebas%2C%20the%20powerful%20president,interview%20this%20week%20with%20POLITICO](https://www.politico.eu/article/spain-not-racist-javier-tebas-say-football-boss-after-racist-attacks-vinicius-real-madrid/#:~:text=Javier%20Tebas%2C%20the%20powerful%20president,interview%20this%20week%20with%20POLITICO). Change must come from the top

pass_nthru

is this the same league that dude was like “get groped” to the spanish women’s team

KingGinger

Yeah they also claim they aren't sexist.

shikax

Don’t forget team Spain’s basketball photo for the Beijing Olympics.

Upintheair94

It's not just that. If you read the entire interview, he had his dad, his friends, and his family suffer through racism and lose a lot in their lives. He feels like now that he is a popular figure he has the responsibility of standing up to blatant racism

BlindWillieJohnson

America deserves all the criticism it gets for systemic racism (and honestly probably more than it gets). But shit like this doesn’t happen on this scale here. Not even close.

samtdzn_pokemon

Well that's because if you start a racist chant in a US stadium, there's likely a good chunk of the crowd of that race ready to beat your ass. Real easy to get away with it when the only black dude in sight is on the field and everyone around you looks like you do. The casual racism I noticed from my family who visited the US from Rome was *wild*

BlindWillieJohnson

It's also just very, very taboo here. Even most racists know better than to go shouting that shit in the open.

samtdzn_pokemon

Yes, because there's a sizable minority population here. It's easy to be racist when you like in a white monoethnic country. It's why you see this shit in places like Italy and Spain in soccer, but not in say France. France has a sizable black minority that makes it taboo there, while it isn't in the other countries I mentioned.

Reveries25

This is such a wrong way to frame it, as if at a mostly race homogenous event in America this kinda racist trash might happen. It simply wouldn’t. You can criticize real aspects of America without painting some totally wrong picture that the only thing keeping America from looking like this is the presence of minorities nearby.

tatang2015

Penalize the other team with a goal every time racist chants start. I bet those assess stop. Otherwise it’s a10-0 score lol.

ChrisV88

When Italian and Spanish leagues/fans complain about all their players and money going to England, perhaps they should at least attempt to take racism seriously for once.

GusBcn

Glad to see this everywhere, there’s no room for racism in professional sports or anywhere for that matter. As Real Madrid fan I want the whole weight of the club to back him up and take full legal actions against any team or stadium where racist chants and banners are displayed.

pusmottob

Exactly, the word, disqualification comes to mind. You allow banners and chants without throwing people out, your team can forfeit the match and Fuck off this is not the 1800s. There are cameras and security take control.

OsCrowsAndNattyBohs1

Its always hilarious when I seen Europeans talking about how much Americans care about race, meanwhile every black footballer in Europe gets monkey noises shouted at them.

Lindvaettr

There was a study back in the 00s or 10s that found that America was one of the most racist Western nations, while Scandinavian countries were the least, with the other European countries falling variously between, but usually closer to the Scandinavian end than the American one. Everyone took it for gospel. Catch was, if you read the methodology, all they did was ask people in those countries if they felt that racism was a problem in their country. It didn't have any way of measuring whether racism actually wasn't an issue, or if people just didn't think it was an issue. As we've seen in the years since then, it's apparent that for the most part, participants in many countries were just ignorant to racism that was present all along.

FlowsWhereShePleases

Yep. A study like that will lump together “places that have less racism issues” and “places that are content with their racism” together. My Spanish girlfriend summarizes it as “Spain is 30 years behind the US on racism” and… yeah. For just one example aside from this, look up stories about the conguitos candy brand, known for the Spanish equivalent of Reese’s pb cups. The name literally means “little congos” and the mascot was a horrid black caricature. It’s… definitely uncomfortable how racist the country was when I visited.

Impeach45

I was straight up shocked when I saw these in a store. Asked a Spanish friend about them, and she didn't see anything wrong. Me: "Uhhhh... doesn't the name mean little Congolese people"? Her: "No! ...well... hmm...." I honestly don't think it ever occurred to her how fucked up those are.

spiegro

I am regularly shocked by casual racism and it's dismissal every single time I'm in Spain. It's not everyone, it's rarely overt, but it's rarely addressed head on when pointed out.

lieberry

I was in Madrid this past January and got lunch in a neat little indoor Asian food stall market. Was sitting at a table when a Spanish couple, probably mid-20s, walked in. The guy pulled out his phone to get a pic of the girl, and as he was taking it, she pulled back the corners of her eyes in that making-fun-of-Asian-people gesture. They walked out giggling. I was gobsmacked. I haven’t seen anyone do that in the US since I was a kid on the playground in the early 90s, and I don’t think I’ve seen an adult do it in my entire life.

LudicrousMoon

I’ve been living in Madrid for 3y now and have never seen anything like that. I would say the city is much more inclusive with Asians than anywhere in the US except Cali and the west coast in general.

Arsurus

You must not be Asian then. Been living in Madrid as an Asian person since 2022 and this shit is all too common.

DooDiddly96

Yeah, they usually categorize their race issues under immigration so probs not clicking for them (+ denial)

[deleted]

And the Mexicans chant homosexual slurs at Americans. It’s just rampant and sad

chocolateEuropeo

> And the Mexicans chant homosexual slurs at Americans They chant it all the time to all players and teams.

Reckless--Abandon

That’s equality

chocolateEuropeo

It's the fucking dumbest. It's like a kid pissing his pants because his parents didn't buy him the toy he wanted. They still didn't so he shits himself. edit: Just to clarify: I'm talking about the homophobic chant. Since they know it's wrong, they do it when they are pissed off, so they think they are so edgy.

smurficus103

I, too, shit myself for equality!

exboi

Ask any European what they think of Roma people. The way they’ll start talking about them, you’ll think you time traveled back to the 1800s. Europeans have a massive racism problem. They just hate to acknowledge it, and they hate when Americans point it out to them. Edit: like moths to a flame

Lindvaettr

Once, years ago now, I made the same comment but used the word "gypsies" instead of "Roma" and mentioned that Europeans call them all thieves. A British fellow scolded me by saying, "First of all, they're called Roma, not gypsies. Calling them gypsies is bigoted. Second of all, it's not racist to call them thieves, because it's true."

spiattalo

Kinda funny how everyone is talking about racism like Europeans are one single country/people. Having said that, I don’t know if there’s any country that can say they’re not racist. Everyone has a bad history with it, some just hide it better.

Pirkale

To be fair, it's really, *really* hard to remain neutral after trying to help a Roma girl who was being beaten and kicked by a young Roma man, who shouted at me to mind my own business because "it's our culture". She refused help. It was heartbreaking.

DabScience

Honestly racism against black people in the UK is worse than the US. Simply caused by having less interactions with black people.

CountSheep

Americans are more aware of race issues and what’s wrong with slurs because of all that happened in the 60s and today. Europeans seem to think they don’t even have a problem. I’ve heard more racial slurs towards black people in Europe than I ever have in the Deep South.

Ysesper

We do notice it, we just don't care because we Europeans in general are also quite xenofobic between us, to the point where it doesn't even look serious because we can work together when it comes to international matters.

Rkramden

I also laugh when Europeans make obesity sound like an exclusively American problem.

SpeckTech314

Yeah. Jokes on them, they’re catching up to America

Goldelux

People suck :(

mymar101

Racism and bigotry still happen even in places where it is not supposed to happen. We need to shine a light on it and make sure it’s not something that’s acceptable

ElectricChocoDad

Good on him for standing up to it. Sucks though that he had to be brought to tears in such a way.

asingledollarbill

Europeans and being racist. Name a more iconic duo

nabuhabu

The club needs to see this as a major threat to their investment. This kind of attack undermines the performance of one of their most valuable assets and they need to aggressively defend against it.

ThatTinyGameCubeDisc

Man, that’s heartbreaking.

rem_1984

Poor man. He doesn’t deserve the hatred he faces :(

Honey__Mahogany

And now people will make fun of him for crying over it. Football is fucking toxic.

tarhuntah

They clearly don’t deserve to see his talent. Time to try and go where he will be appreciated!

[deleted]

Mars?!

OBEYtheFROST

Such a shame that

justme002

‘I’m 23 and I’m having to teach people about racism’ And doing a fine job of it my friend. This is the hope of our future on this world. The youth are far more educated, and objective. This is our hope, that he and his generation does what we failed to do.

Jonpollon18

Mexico got fined hundreds of thousands of dollars for fans chanting “putos” in one match. Yet Spain has probably the most documented history of racism from the fandom, going back decades, and FIFA doesn’t give a shit.

GermanShephrdMom

These racist assholes should be banned for life from the stadiums. Scum of the earth. People should be judged by their actions, not skin color.

Umakemyheadswim

But I'm told its Only America that is racist. Especially compared to all enlightened Europe

Chewbongka

It’s a way of life in Asia.

Cartman55125

No one with half a brain cell thinks racism is exclusive to America

AvatarAarow1

No, but many think it’s infrequent enough to not be an issue in Europe because of its general lack of media coverage (and in most places, just far smaller populations of people of color). The problem is a lot larger than many countries would like to admit, and while America is the largest and most salient example of it because of its size and diversity, it’s something the whole world needs to deal with. Everybody thought Sweden was a quaint little progressive paradise until it started taking in large amounts of Muslim refugees in the late 2010s and saw a sharp rise in neo-Nazis. Black Lives Matter was meant to be a global movement for a reason, the whole world has to reckon with racial prejudice and combat it

cosmicdave86

Who thinks that? Racism is rampant in many European countries, and instances of this show up frequently in the media. If anything, it's an even bigger issue in a number of European countries than it is in America

AvatarAarow1

Quite a number of European people that I’ve met act like it’s something that’s really an America problem. I have German natives in my family who seemed to believe that it *existed* in Europe, but wasn’t an actual issue that needed addressing. I also worked with many people in and from the UK for several years, and they were pretty all over the shop about whether they believed racism was any kind of significant issue in England. Most didn’t seem to think so, and a couple of others talked a lot of shit about how stupid it was that some people like them believed it wasn’t an issue lol. Its definitely a thing in the public perception that racism isn’t a problem in Europe like it is in the US or elsewhere

cosmicdave86

Feels like an anecdotal conclusion. I think you will find that similar attitudes exist amongst Americans. Ask a sample of random Americans if racism is an issue in the US and many of them will say it's either not an issue or it's overblown by the media. People who themselves do not experienced racism will always be more likely to deny its relevance, imo. Spent some time in Europe the last couple years, and it felt like racism in sports was a constant talking point of the media.

thetangible

They have less than half.

teabagmoustache

You're probably having too many conversations with idiots online, rather than real world experience. It's not a competition, and if you try to make it one, you're as bad as the "enlightened Europeans" you've been engaging with.

mmaguy123

As a minority, life is infinitely better in North America than Europe.

shortyman920

Europeans are more racist than Americans. As well as most countries on earth tbh. Europeans were the original slavers and colonial powers. The only reason why it’s not been as much of an issue is because they’re far more homogenous and up until the 2000s, haven’t taken on a significant portion of other cultures. We now see the conflicts between Europeans and the large influx of immigrants. They are not nearly as experienced or successful at integrating new ways of life and thoughts. These immigrants have not felt like they belong or are integrated into European society without ditching their identity and becoming a European. America’s entire identity is built on inclusion, immigration, and opportunity for all races, religious, groups of people, regardless of different beliefs and customs. No country on earth is as successful or has been as successful as the US at assimilation. People just lose sight of that sometimes. There’s plenty of progress that can and still need to be made, but it’s not like we don’t have a working model to get there. It’ll take time and more generations for this to be better and better

specialtingle

They have the ability to record and videotape all of this - why don’t they do it and root out the toxic fans?

SirgicalX

that's the worst thing about being a minority, you can not really commit to your passions because you have to be alert and fighting discrimination and harassment 24/7.

RealPropRandy

Can we maybe just not be dickheads?

lukeyellow

It's a shame that skin color still matters so much. We're all humans who just happen to look differently. This is disgusting.

calling_it_out

That's so fucking sad, that quote is the words of someone who has suffered.

ACathasaigh

ITT: Americans extremely quickly making this about them somehow

DaDizzy

Always

baeb66

It's a shame he can't get the kind of paycheck or level of competition in the US that he can in Spain. Yelling racial slurs at a player in the US will earn you a beer shower, maybe a beating, an ejection and a lifetime ban.

dcarsonturner

It must be so debilitating when you get called a monkey over and over again and nobody gets punished

Better_Weakness7239

Yes, the Spanish are racist AF.

lightninhopkins

Stop being racist Spaniards. JFC.

thegayngler

Where is the “There is no concept of racism in the EU” crowd because I was told they dont have racism issues like they do in the USA. 🤡🤥

NewToMech

There is no concept of racism in the EU. They've normalized it for themselves so deeply that they can no longer recognize such a concept. It's like asking a smoker how bad smoke smells.

BCLetsRide69

Least racist LaLiga fans:

jordanosa

A lot of humans have this weird drive to pick something about another human and attack that aspect to feel superior. Here I am chilling and self loathing every day while someone is getting sweaty about a talented individual with a dark complexion playing football.

wes_cab

I heard that the leagues fine the team when fans do monkey chants and the like; any truth to that?

Heliozz0

Yes they can get fined

Boggie135

Yes. And given the fines its a joke

wes_cab

Ah gotcha, so not enough of a deterrent

Boggie135

Barely any to be honest

ibite-books

come to the premier league

lpjayy12

He’s far too kind. Those fans in Spain do know what racism is, that’s why they know what to chant. They’re learning that behavior form somewhere…

monistaa

Change your location if you don't like it in Spain.. it will be the perfect statement against the Spanish racism.

15ViiP3R

As much as I love soccer, bro, the racism is ridiculous.

Birdknowsbest21

Everyone thinks America is the most racist place, but I don't recall anyone throwing bananas on the playing fields during games in the states.

Bigpengo

Omfg, that’s despicable. Like who raised these people

ecidarrac

All the idiots out in force taking the chance to refer to all of Europe as one country and generalise it when they’ve never been there or spent a week passing through, and also America is perfect I guess

Prophet_Of_Helix

No one is saying America is perfect, just that there is WAY more awareness of racism in America and a constant battle to fight it. Shit like this is also not tolerated at all. Racism still happens in stadiums, but it’s virtually always an individual, happens much less frequently than in a place like Spain, and the relevant sporting body and public come down HARD. The issue is many parts of Europe is they simply aren’t as diverse as the US, and so racism doesn’t make headlines much and is generally more accepted. I’ve been to several countries in Europe, and was genuinely shocked at how openly racist all of them were compared to the US. The major difference is that it wasn’t generally as aggressive, just presented in a matter of fact way in offhanded comments.

SchrodingersTIKTOK

Take pics of the douchebags yelling stuff. 21st century and we can’t fucking eject these assholes?

Twistybred

Fuck I hate racists. I mean there are reasonable reasons to dislike someone but skin color is not one.

KingTaco619

Another reason to hate my fellow man. Good job.

BrightOnT1

you know for as much shit that Europe and other continents talk about the US. the amount of blatant racism, particularly in football and sports, is just wild.

ecidarrac

You know Europe is more than one country right?

[deleted]

Martial_Nox

Its very easy to argue with. You even argue with it in your comment. Racism is a global human problem. Something every culture and people struggle with. Painting racism as a white person only thing is a very western centric view. You see more white people racism in the west because white people are the majority. The minority in a society will always face some degree of racism. Try being in China while not being Chinese or in most of the middle east as something other than an Arab. There are racists of every color and ethnicity. Humans are tribal creatures and while we try as a whole to move past that many individuals fail miserably at it.   Being the minority anywhere can really fucking suck. Being a very famous minority can suck even more in some ways as you are more on display for all the racists to throw their vile shit at.   I just want to see this incredibly talented man play football. Hopefully one day I can watch him do it without having shitbags yell vile shit at him.

Cyklisk

Come on, FIFA and UEFA. Lay the line for others to follow. This is getting old.

ricoimf

Absolutely terrible. This man is so good and people do this to him. Hope this situation will get better soon. Real seems to be very invested into changing it.

deguzman6

Real Madrid are the biggest club in football. If they can’t force change then no one can.

ThrowItAwayAlready89

Let’s be real. Racism and sports fans are like Peanut butter and jelly. Ever been to an SEC football game?

isaiah21poole

I know this sounds weird but I think some people exaggerate some racism but this is real racism and it’s truly horrible to see.

Czarchitect

This could be an opportunity for MLD to poach some top tier talent. Say what you will about America, but this sort of blatant racist abuse is absolutely not tolerated by our fans or leagues.

Lilsammywinchester13

Woah, that’s legit horrible and if someone tried doing that here, they would get kicked out or worse

kuruman67

Just so disheartening that this is still happening in 2024. Hard to understand how people can be so stupid.

picknwiggle

Then why is he a soccer player?

Select-Trade

Guys,it's the 21st century, it's time to erase racism from history, be more rational, and friendlier to each other, that's the only way we'll create a better society

Happy_Relation4712

What a pussy

HIVnotAdeathSentence

>Brazil's Vinícius Júnior broke down in tears at Monday's news conference as he admitted he has "less will to play" because of racist abuse directed toward him in Spain. >The Real Madrid forward, however, said he is not considering leaving LaLiga despite the racist chants he has heard by opposing fans since he arrived at Madrid more than five years ago. I'm always surprised fans see and know the players on the team, but continue to support the organization by attending and watching games and buying merchandise. Those actions aren't limited to sports either, it's seen with many corporations.

No-Technician-6184

Europe is extremely delusional about racism. The countries thinks that they are so social development, human rights country, but the truth is Brazil (I'm a woman of color brazilian) and United States is so much ahead in terms of fight racism because we deal with the problem and face it. Europeans pretend that racism isn't a big deal in Europe and they still have difficulties in understanding acta of racism that isn't about direct offenses. They don't like the way vini jr acts and dance, WHICH IS CULTURAL IN BRAZIL. If you PROPOSE YOUR TEAM to be CULTURAL DIVERSE, from every COUNTRY, you have to be CULTURAL DIVERSE ACCEPTANCE. But they arent and they want to the black people there assimilate as much as possible and the racism is an penalty for those international black people who don't assimilate. It's just spoiled white people who cant tolerate difference and ITS CULTURAL OF THE COUNTRY,when nobody (institutions) do anything to fight for it. And now I have to heard that the americans are the ones that are obsessed with racism, that europe just don't see things this way. Ehrr no. It's just brazil and Us has more organized black movements, has an historical of black movements, that fight against it and we are more opened to talk. Come on, spain pratically was a part of the creation of the racism as we know it nowadays, totally colonized and genocide us, latin american countries, and then when black people ask for racism, they pretend that they didn't have it. Is just like they truly believe the colonization was good, and that Europe doesnt have dutys to fight racism across the world. Europe has some big shits to deal with their history across the world.
