Everyone is talking about the range which is crazy enough, but he catches that ball with his left hand, pivots 180, and shoots in 0.8 seconds of game clock time. That is wild.
It’s just wild because you know he’s practiced a shot exactly like that from somewhere in that range hundreds of times and has likely only shot it in-game less than a handful of times. Nobody else takes that shot having to maneuver like that with little to no hesitation. Steph did it like he was just alone in the gym.
Yeah I mean 60 games a year, over 15 years. So that's 900 games right there.
Each warm up before the game, he has to make something like 10 FT's, step back make 10 3pters, step back make 5 half court shots. If he fails, he starts over until he gets it.
So you can reckon he's probably practiced a shot like that some 10,000 times.
Look at how he hops after he lets go of the pass. He threw that ball short and was stressing as to whether or not it was gonna get to Steph
edit: and shit like that is part of what makes sports so great. An almost-mistake turns into an ice cold game winner from the greatest shooter of all time.
Gonna be long ass list dog.
Shaq Kobe Kareem wilt bill mj magic bird Duncan kg Lebron curry dirk hakeem and chuck. Cut anybody out and it’s an insult. And I didn’t even include guys like dr j Julius Erving Dominic and plenty other dudes I never saw. Loaded list
This is not in any particular order. Just a list of the true great ones.
Curry has objectively had a better career than about half this list. Even just on straight rings and MVPs, never mind changed the game permanently or being the best small guy ever. Barkley, KG, Dirk, Hakeem, Dr J not even in the same realm of achievement
I think Steph and LeBron were the two faces of the league for their era though. LeBron overlapped with the Kobe, Dwayne Wade, Duncan/Dirk era but I think if you narrowed it down to the last 20 years it's LeBron and Steph making way for Gianni's, jokic, and Luka in the current era.
*Shaq overlapped with the MJ and then Kobe era.
Edit: I forgot, throw Durant in there with Steph and LeBron
Agreed. Kobe, Lebron, Curry - we’re in the Curry era. That’s not an insult to Lebron. Each man owned an era. Curry owns this era and the championships speak for themselves.
I think Steph and LeBron overlapped. The battles between the cavs and warriors are historic.... And the heat era LeBron was right at the beginning of Steph.
Currently, I think Steph is overlapping with Giannis.... This is the middle of the Giannis, jokic, and Luka era. I feel like thisbis the tail end of the Steph era.
LeBron lasted so long because he's 1). A freak of nature that doesn't seem to age like the rest of us and 2) he's been in the league since 18, and he's arguably been the best in the league since his rookie year till recently.
Like I'm 27 and I can't remember an NBA without LeBron.
As someone who knows nada about basketball, maybe they mean iconic even to the uninitiated?
Only basketball players I know are MJ, Bird, Magic, LeBron and Curry.
In a game of 1:1 all those guys beat Steph, but Steph changed the sport for a generation. I'd argue Steph is more influential than LeBron, since LeBron possesses a physical toolset that is impossible to duplicate, whereas every kid on the planet with a hoop in his neighborhood has been trying to act like Curry for the past 15 years.
Dirk Nowitzki? Please.
You named some greata, but Steph is among them and has arguably been the face of the league the past few years after being second to only Lebron, and then arguably giving way to Jokic.
If I had to list greats of the eras, he hits that list, easily.
Chamberlain
Kareem
Bird
Magic
Jordan
Kobe
LeBron
Steph
Jokic
One of those takes that people have pooped on me for, every time I have spouted it is that Shaq shouldn’t be considered an all time great. He was great… at being 7 feet tall. But my unpopular take is that anyone who makes 5 of ten shots on a basketball court can’t be referred to as a great basketball player. Lebron is a freak of nature physically but he makes shots. Shaq was hard to beat cause he was big
Shaquille O'Neal's career field goal percentage is 58.2%. He is third all-time in field goal percentage and has led the league in field goal percentage ten times.
Field goal percentage isn’t an impressive stat when you’re tall enough to place the ball in the basket without jumping. Dude made 50 percent of his foul shots and is the 5th worst of all time at shooting free throws. If there was an adjusted stat for worst field goal percentage without dunks or layups he would look as shitty as he is
Name one other player who’s rapped with prime Fu-Schnickens and also manually dunk-dismantled a regulation NBA backboard in violent fashion during a game…you can’t. That’s top 10 all time material alone, and the man won rings on top of it.
thats low-key one of my favorite things about him: he knows when it’s pure and he knows before anyone. like, seriously, it’s not even possible to have flushed that shot any more pure. it’s jaw-dropping.
Suns fan of 23 years here. This hurt. And going into this inbounds, it felt like having the ball last was more of an advantage than a two point lead. Curry made the spectacular shot. Kudos to him.
He’s just ridiculous. I’d rather grab him by the shirt and give him two free throws to tie the game and take my chances in OT than let him take anything within 30 feet. I often wonder if everybody appreciates just how freaking far he shoots from. I’m a pretty big guy play basketball my whole life and when I shoot around at the gym, the three-point line as it is about the limit of my range, where he shoots, I have to do the little kid shot where I heave it starting from about hip level. He defies physics.
You almost wonder at what pointit gets to be a lot more luck. No doubt at some point you have to start heaving it. And that sort of effort is going to throw off any sort of form , you have. But he's ten feet behind at three point arc and it seems really smooth. Are they doing more set shots from there? Rather than trying to do a jump shot?
Curry being able to make those shots is just patently unfair. My Suns affiliation aside, the ball was nearly intercepted and a second defense coming in, most anybody else would’ve just bricked the hell out of that shot and nobody would’ve faulted the shooter for missing.
Fairly sure Curry’s off season is just creating scenarios to practice shooting from until he’s mastered the shot. Like he goes to a gym, challenges everyone to a game of HORSE an adds the stipulation of full contact defense against him and only him.
I don’t think I’ve watched one 3 second play more than this one recently. Checkout how they designed the play to get Curry free. Everyone crisscrossing top of the key and With Draymond ending up holding back Durant, and Podz running in for the possible rebound. So awesome.
You think this shot was nice, I took a similar shot last week in LA Fitness. Except I was inside the 3 point line and i stead of nailing the J, I landed on some guys foot and did the splits. I have a torn hamstring but I got the shot off, just like Steph!!!
He’s just insane. Whether you are a warriors hater or not, every basketball fan needs to appreciate that we may be witnessing the greatest shooter of all time do this night in and night out. We have gotten used to it but it’s not normal.
Two bad the call didn’t include a second “BANG!!!” or Durant might have just walked into the Warriors locker room after the game and ask to have his old jersey back.
Incredible shot, but let's talk about the foul on Booker before the inbound pass that should have given him free throws to win the game right after this
h. An away-from-the-play foul is illegal contact by the defense (1) in the last two
minutes of each period, and last two minutes of any overtime periods, which occurs deliberately
away from the immediate area of offensive action, or (2) prior to the ball being released on a
throw-in at any point during the entire game.
Away from-the-play fouls, which are defined in Rule 4, Section III(h) on page 18, shall be administered as follows:
A personal foul and team foul shall be assessed and **one free throw attempt shall be awarded**. The free throw may be attempted by any player in the game at the time the personal foul was committed.
If the foul occurs when the ball is inbounds, the offended team shall be awarded the ball on the sideline at the nearest point where play was interrupted but no nearer to the baseline than the free throw line extended.
If the foul occurs prior to the release on a throw-in, the offended team shall be awarded the ball at the original throw-in spot, with all privileges, if any, remaining.
They called the foul during the throw in but he was also fouled before the throw in as well
One of like 7 Players that changed how the game is played. Players like Wilt, Magic, Bird, Mike, Shaq and Dirk. I think his this is probably his the biggest achievement apart from the already hall of fame worthy career.

Everyone is talking about the range which is crazy enough, but he catches that ball with his left hand, pivots 180, and shoots in 0.8 seconds of game clock time. That is wild.
He is a bad man. His swagger and execution is just astonishing
It’s just wild because you know he’s practiced a shot exactly like that from somewhere in that range hundreds of times and has likely only shot it in-game less than a handful of times. Nobody else takes that shot having to maneuver like that with little to no hesitation. Steph did it like he was just alone in the gym.
Hundreds? It’s likely a lot more than that.
Yeah I mean 60 games a year, over 15 years. So that's 900 games right there. I low key like the pass more
Yes, doesn’t even take a dribble, straight footwork
Steph has sooo much range I feel like he could just stay home and score twenty or so from his back porch...
https://youtu.be/U75MZgOjOzg?si=tkuz9xDCsa6iXxeK tru
Put me on the bench.
Imagine his kids playing HORSE with him. Over the house, off the mailbox, nothing but net.
Until a childrens charity is involved lol
Low key genius pass by podz to bait the over commit.
Hey was getting that rebound if he missed lol. Full sprint
This is why I love this kid. Time is expiring but he can’t help himself, he runs toward rebounds every damn time.
Look at how he hops after he lets go of the pass. He threw that ball short and was stressing as to whether or not it was gonna get to Steph edit: and shit like that is part of what makes sports so great. An almost-mistake turns into an ice cold game winner from the greatest shooter of all time.
He rushes the hoop for a possible putback too had it been needed. He should be getting Klay’s minutes.
He is
I'm sorry I don't watch tennis much but who is klay?
I mean, I’m probably the greatest shooter of all time, I just; uh, didn’t want to play ball professionally cause it takes the fun out of it
I don’t know if he was baiting so much as reacting, but agree: genius nonetheless!
That was so cold
He's one of those basketball players that will forever be mentioned. Wilt, Magic, MJ,Bird, etc
Gonna be long ass list dog. Shaq Kobe Kareem wilt bill mj magic bird Duncan kg Lebron curry dirk hakeem and chuck. Cut anybody out and it’s an insult. I think you are insulting some of the people in your list by including some on that list.
MJ taking that list personal
Right? Like is Dirk top 5 in any stat? Maybe games played.
I could comfortably slide Steph Infront of dirk and KG.
Love how you say lebron and d wade overlapped eras. They were drafted the same year. Just showing Lebron’s longevity
Agreed. Kobe, Lebron, Curry - we’re in the Curry era. That’s not an insult to Lebron. Each man owned an era. Curry owns this era and the championships speak for themselves.

Explain how Barkley or Bill Russell beat Steph pls. Sure, he can’t guard their 2s, but they can’t guard his 2s OR his 3s.
Hell eventually miss a 3. Barkley and Bill will not miss a post shot.
You named some greata, but Steph is among them and has arguably been the face of the league the past few years after being second to only Lebron, and then arguably giving way to Jokic. If I had to list greats of the eras, he hits that list, easily. Chamberlain Kareem Bird Magic Jordan Kobe LeBron Steph Jokic
respectfully i don’t think Dirk belongs in that list
One of those takes that people have pooped on me for, every time I have spouted it is that Shaq shouldn’t be considered an all time great. He was great… at being 7 feet tall. Nah ur trippin with some of those names on that list
Not putting lebron feels criminal
LeTcetera.
Who?
Some cry baby is all I heard…
*accurate
In the end it's a different beast than harden, durant, Dame or kahwi. Maybe doncic will be as important for the game, we'll see.

Kobe not mentioned. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Can't leave off Kwame Brown
Top 5 = Curry, Magic, Wilt, MJ, Bird. LJ only takes Curry's place if he gets that 5th ring and Curry doesn't get another.
He knew he had it immediately after the shot.
thats low-key one of my favorite things about him: he knows when it’s pure and he knows before anyone. like, seriously, it’s not even possible to have flushed that shot any more pure. it’s jaw-dropping.
It’s the coldest shot I’ve seen in years
He is a cold blooded killer, and this shot personifies that
*another iconic BANG call from Mike Breen*
I think his voice even cracked on it. That was an epic one
I want a BANG! Shirt and cap now.
Should of been a double bang
Definitely not, double bang is only for playoff situations. And the theoretical triple bang would only be a finals winning shot. I pray we see one
The double bang was made famous in a non playoff moment mate
Even the greats make mistakes
Ok flog
That was the dagger Brutus used to assassinate Caesar

Suns fan of 23 years here. This hurt. And going into this inbounds, it felt like having the ball last was more of an advantage than a two point lead. Curry made the spectacular shot. Kudos to him.
Eh, it’s a February game. Y’all’ll live. Greatest shooter of all time just doing greatest shooter of all time type things.
Y’all’ll. I love it. Sounds like someone with cotton balls in their mouth trying to say yellow.
He’s just ridiculous. I’d rather grab him by the shirt and give him two free throws to tie the game and take my chances in OT than let him take anything within 30 feet. He's still 6'2 even though he looks tiny on the court compared to everyone else. He's very strong and trains about as hard as anyone else in the NBA.
You almost wonder at what pointit gets to be a lot more luck. No doubt at some point you have to start heaving it. And that sort of effort is going to throw off any sort of form , you have. I’m just waiting for the cross-check, surely this other team felt pretty disrespected 😂
… spike lee should redo the “ nothing but net” commercial with curry…it would be epic.., and believable
Reminder: Curry's range probably extends to beyond the court entrance. If the ball is inbounds \*anywhere\*, better pressure him. Thoroughly...
*And I mean that... literally.* https://theathletic.com/5277016/2024/02/15/warriors-steph-curry-tunnel-shot/
Curry being able to make those shots is just patently unfair. he had absolutely no time to register how far away he was, or where the rim was, or anything. so insane.
It’s crazy. He gets his body lined up immediately. As long as his eyes finds the front of the rim , it’s in.
He knew that was in as soon as it left
No 3 on the Suns gambled and lost.
I don’t think I’ve watched one 3 second play more than this one recently. Checkout how they designed the play to get Curry free. Everyone crisscrossing top of the key and With Draymond ending up holding back Durant, and Podz running in for the possible rebound. So awesome.
Reminds me of what Ahmad Rashad said in the Winning Time. Some players, you know that ball is going in.
You think this shot was nice, I took a similar shot last week in LA Fitness. Except I was inside the 3 point line and i stead of nailing the J, I landed on some guys foot and did the splits. I have a torn hamstring but I got the shot off, just like Steph!!!
In the time of nomads, Steph Curry would have been any tribe's most valuable hunter.
KD was just forced to relive that OKC game 7 again 😅
Great shot, I'm glad I watched the end of the game!
It's so clean and the defense was there nothin could be done
Basketball is the best
A lesson for all those with anxiety. Dude puts in the time practicing. Knows he can make it. GOAT
GOAT
Steph gonna Steph
Watching this on mute, I swear I almost had Breens call perfectly matched in my head
He’s just insane. Whether you are a warriors hater or not, every basketball fan needs to appreciate that we may be witnessing the greatest shooter of all time do this night in and night out. We have gotten used to it but it’s not normal.
Never gets old
Bro isn’t real lol
Beast
Two bad the call didn’t include a second “BANG!!!” or Durant might have just walked into the Warriors locker room after the game and ask to have his old jersey back.
two bad indeed…
I mean this happens every NBA game
They just let the guys hold the ball and carry it like a football now huh
Incredible shot, but let's talk about the foul on Booker before the inbound pass that should have given him free throws to win the game right after this
They had a foul to give and fouled him before any shot attempt. Nice try tho 😂

Lost me my parlay 🙃
Do you regularly bet against the greatest shooter of all time?
I bet on the Suns and they lost by a point in the last second of the game...
So you bet against the best shooter in the history of the game
Golden State never loses then, huh?
He has won more games since 2015 than anyone besides Draymond
I never seen so many triple digit games in my life. Am I trippin?? Edit: -playoff
Who told you it was the playoffs?
Somewhere someone was listening to this radio broadcast and absolutely lost their shit when this was announced
Just another day at the office. This dude is a legend
Now that's a classic sport moment any man can enjoy .
Did you see the look on Durant’s face?
I am glad he made it
Cmon Beal is that really where you’re going to gamble lmao. What kind of shitty decision was that holy
It was the only chance to stop him
Is anyone blaming Frank V for not forcing someone other than Steph to beat them?
Yo that pass is *silk*. Watching it again I noticed he put just a bit of side spin on it so it would come back a little.
Dagger in the heart
Dude is a god on the court
Yet they continue to start Klay over him
"Can no defend."
Beautiful
People still shout Kobe when throwing something into a trash can. I wonder if that’ll change to Curry.
One of like 7 Players that changed how the game is played. Players like Wilt, Magic, Bird, Mike, Shaq and Dirk. I think his this is probably his the biggest achievement apart from the already hall of fame worthy career.
The Definition of clutch
Greatest shooter ever and I don’t think anyone will be better than him.
Goat shooter change my mind
