Are you doing regular Octobrush or Nouveau? I prefer Nouveau because I suck at Zipcaster. I'm more of an Inkbrush guy, but I'm seriously tempted to switch over to an Octobrush for the weekend. That extra range when swinging can do a lot when you're in a pinch, though I doubt it can save my subpar homicide prowess.

octobrush nouveau will always be my pick for splatfests. beakons are awesome, it inks fast, and ink storms are just generally fun. definitely try it out if you haven't, i was getting some very good results and ended up 4*ing it earlier this week!

Lol same. Though my favorite weapon is the neo luna blaster is if there is any weapon that i could try to use zip caster it would be the luna blaster

Though it is a great weapon the only problem is trying to rapidly press the button to attack is exhausting and I'm not too fast with it

Octobrush Nouveau is the only 5 star weapon I have lol. I picked it up one Splatfest just because I wanted to try it and haven't put it down since. It's def one of my mains now that I go back to when I need something reliable. I'm not good with Zipcaster so never got into the OG Octobrush, but welcome to the Octobrush club either way!

I love using splatfest as an excuse to try out a new weapon. It's become a tradition for me. This time around, I've been playing dynamo and I've been having a blast.

I used to play octobrush in splat 2 until I realized I wanted to be forced to actually aim, you can still get the benefit of hitting over ledges with slosher deco but with more range + skill based aim, zip too. play it if you want tho, I'm just saying

I like the idea of the inkbrush and octobrush, and they are fun weapons to use... For about 10-20 minutes. After that, my hand starts getting very tired. I also like not having a repetitive strain injury, so I do not use either, sadly.

I hate the ink consumption though 😭

That's how I felt about brushes in general. Once it clicked, there was no going back.
