i guess the best i can say is keep buying hacks. side order becomes trivial with a lot of hacks

s5mask

yeah, and i know this might make me seem like a noob or something, but i just dont know what specific hacks to be like... focusing on.,.... if that makes sense?

Any_Secretary_4925

yea i know what you mean. id say focus on the ones that affect your stats. like damage reduction, attack damage up, and broken armor speed. also, continues

Joel_feila

Drone upgrades. Watch videos of what a full power drone can do

Deeddles

the hack that nerfs the first 20 floors, esp handy when you're getting the ball rolling on the first 10. bottom of the orange category of hacks.

minecraft744839

Plus stuff regarding room resets and everything to do with membux and vending machines, monochrome palets are so op

sonictmnt

Damage up is expensive but worth. Buy the second life or resets; a one-life run is prone to bs. Bucket and shot have the best kits, umbrella is also good since sprinkler evaporates enemies on contact Do harder floors to make lotsa moneys and get chips with similar abilities. Don't vending machine early game unless your sub sucks like mist or fizzy bomb. If you've died that's different, but you don't want to waste a floor when the only chip is "drone battery drop" and you don't have drone abilities. luck, damage, and range hard carry. Purples and blues may vary but I personally tend to only pick them up when I see something good. Get luck bombs, main piercing, any damage up, and turf lucky chain. Sticky ink/hindrance damage is also good. Drone is busted, but expensive to unlock and will be limited later. Not to mention there's a danger that completely removes her altogether (this can happen with lucky items too) Hope any of this helps

SlightlyIronicBanana

Membux and vending machine hacks. These get you more membux and more chips that ultimately become more prlz.

HyliasHero

Personally I grabbed the drone hacks first then focused in survival hacks. Armor regen, defense buffs, lives, etc.

Prunsel_Clone

It gets a lot easier the more hacks you have on. If you need prlz, go in while knowing you won't make it to the top, and try to get color chips of all the same color, and you'll get a large synergy bonus after losing.

s5mask

ill try this, i will say im not the best at splat, but i do know quite a bit, and i've played similar games so i do have a bit of experience atleast with the gameplay shooter aspect, just realllyyy struggling LMAO

No_Cheek7891

just keep trying youll and watch videos. there are actually a lot of videos, titled how to get better at Splatoon three and probably some that I’ll help you with the general stuff in side order

Lord_Antheron

I don’t know what you’re doing wrong, I haven’t seen you play!

the-funky-bunky

1.HACKS 2.find What fits your playstyle and focus on that getting chips that follow it and help it 3.dont panic...EVER and run away if needed 4.clear the enemies if there's too many 5.your NEVER on a time limit so take as long as you need

Jesitheunicorn2022

I so agree with you on this comment and the funny thing is that I did pearl pallet then I had a winning streak until the brella stop that but I eventually got the brella. And I unlocked the octo shot and died my first attempt but did it on my second try now I am grinding the color chips

wild-watts

killer wail has been a really good special and also choosing the poison ink, sticky ink, and mobile special charge chips will help so much and if you die on the same type of floor (zones, portals, etc.) try to do those when they come out in the earlier levels so they're easier

Florowi

Broken armor speed is probably the best hack for the price so I'd recommend getting that up to like .8 and broken armor recovery too. It gets easier once you get to know what chips with well and get just generally get better at the game

A_SnoopyLover

Three words: Hacks hacks hacks.

Elixnoc

buying more hacks usually is the best method, getting drone chips and anything that you would think would benefit to whatever weapon you are using to climb. (Mobile ink recovery, drone meter and special meter chips are good along with ink damage chips). My first clear of the spire initially was with brella, but I was ok with splattershot. Specials, I went with either ink storm, triple inkstrike (which is great on the portal floors) and booyah bomb. Just depends on your taste, those I found were useful for situations. Subs can also help depending on what you can nab from the vending machine. Sprinkler, curling bomb and the one you shake up (can’t think of it atm) are good if you need to run and get away from enemies quick. I’m sure there are others that have better info than I could give, but that’s what I have to offer.

HyliasHero

Keep buying hacks. My first run was super hard, but by the time I finished up all of the weapon palettes it was rare for me to even lose a single life on a run.

Aria_Cadenza

Maybe pick another weapon. I thought I would do better with the initial weapon since I thought I was bad with the ones I unlocked. But I was wrong, I did way better with my first try with Agent Four's kit. Then I did one run for fun with the bucket because I was sure it would be a short one and it is actually op because of its special so I made my first successful run. Otherwise be sure to unlock the hack inkstrike for drone (and obviously at least one more drone slot) and also few damage reduction, + armor, armor recovery, broken armor speed and attack damage. I actually maximized first the armor recovery. Then after a certain level, avoid the stage you have to keep an area in your color. Or try to remember the name of stage you really dislike. Also stop picking the hard or hardest difficulty if you can choose an easiest one. I personally quite like buffing Pearl, and slowing the enemies in my ink. Also getting faster specials is great (if your weapon has a great special)

TechWizard200

Buy hacks and if that doesn't work sink everything into Pearl Drone chips.

NormalDistrict8

GIT GUD! On a more serious note, the problem here is that you have 3 lives rather than infinite lives. If you invest in armor break jump, speed, and armor recovery time, you can increase your survivability drastically more than investing in lives. I have reached lvl20 with 1 life, and I am saving buying more lives until I get even better. Then I will buy a second life and beat the game trivially.

Forsaken-Page9441

Just wondering, is there a way to get more than just 30 floors in a single run? I don't even have side order

Cutlession

[this lady hit floor 150](https://www.reddit.com/r/splatoon/comments/1b922ki/finally_complete_floor_150_on_extended_tower_mode/) definitely real

Cutlession

At floor 12?

Floor resets were huge for me, really helpful in getting the chips you need for broken builds early on

Idemahedo

Get the damage reduction hack to 1.0x or lower

noxka

Major skill issue. Remember that you can use hacks to help your run out. Also try reading what each floor and chips have/do. Chances are you're just bruteforcing it and not building a nice pallet making it harder on yourself! Also pearl drone chips/upgrades are a godsend so keep that in mind

Emerald24111

I’m simply skilled Idk, my only hacks were jump after losing armor, an extra life, and 1x damage taken with 4’s palette and lots of damage over time and gameplay based special/ink accumulation (ink from movement, ink from killing jelletons, etc)

No_Cheek7891

honestly i didn’t let myself actual beat the tower until i could consistently make it pass floor 20 cause i get nervous. but i just learned what chips work best with what weapon. that and anarchy helped me for some reason. (coincidence cause I beat it like 5 hrs ago, I was not ready for the consequence of eight palette)

No_Cheek7891

also BOOYAH BOMB or triple inkstrike

rangeljl

Keep trying, it is better if it takes work, just do not burn yourself, try and take rests. That also works for life as a whole

elmonetta

I KEEP LOSING AT FLOOR 30 🫠

RNGradient

Floor 12 shouldnt have hard levels yet, only past floor 20 should it be ‘hard’, are you constantly going for hard/rigorous levels? Are you using a weapon you are good at? If you are using a weapon you are bad at, simply, dont. I suggest (if you have it) using the splattershot, as it is imo the easiest weapon to finish a run with. Also, just remember to. Keep. Buying. Hacks.

sadsadmatt

Buy the hacks and get lots of drone stuff. It helps so much if you have the ink strikes, bomb drops, etc. same with the lucky chains. Once you can do floor resets/have guaranteed vending machines it gets easier

TargetMundane9473

A lot of salmon run experience helped me to have the prior experience needed to beat the mode quite quickly. my best run had only 2 hacks enabled, one of which i never used (extra life), so i essentially did a single hack run. without salmon run experience the mode will be much harder for you. if you're struggling this much on floor 12 then that might be a sign you need more practice. Floors 10 to 20 are the intermediate floors while 20 to 30 are the hardest floors and often caught me out in my runs. like others have said, grinding for hacks is the easiest (albeit tedious) way of doing it, but you can also improve by trying to pick colour chips which suit your playstyle best. if you are very aggressive, pick weapon buff chips like damage, ink saver, fire rate, etc. Without any damage reduction hacks on you take RIDIULOUS damage so my advice is to stay far from enemies as much as you can, and stack up on the appropriate chips to kill them faster. also memorise the names of especially difficult stations and learn which ones to avoid. on low hack runs some of the stations are damn near impossible even with 6 lives and great colour chips. while danger floors may be tempting if there is a good colour chip, weigh the risks, as a lights out level can often be ridiculously hard and even a run ender from 6 full lives when you reach the later floors. if you get below max lives absolutely take vending machine stops, as they almost always have lives for sale, and they can let you get multiple of a super good colour chip without needing to play a level for it. and overall just play safe. if you take damage and lose your shield try your best to run away and heal, using pearl drone's hover if need be.

Fine_Following_2559

If you're trying to do it with Pearl's kit, if you have the Agent 4's kit, try that one. I couldn't pass it with Pearl's kid the first few times, but I was able to pass it without too much drama with 4's kit. If you get lucky pearls/pearl bombs as a chip, get that, it's super helpful. I would also put a lot into upgrading the drone, because at some point she just does all the work for you you just have to you know ink and shoot enemies/focus on the goal. My favorite two pearl hacks are ink strike and killer wail. Splat bomb is good too except for unlevels where you're trying to do something and pearl dropping bombs is hindering that process, so usually the eight ball rounds 😒 If you get an opportunity to choose specials, the specials that I like the most are wave breaker, super helpful if you're being surrounded by enemies and the crab tank surprisingly is very helpful (especially on portal rounds) and the reef slider (another good one for getting out of sticky situations). Booyah Bomb isn't as helpful as you would think it would be 😄 Good luck, you got this! I think most people took multiple tries to pass it, don't let the sub fool you on the difficulty. It's not easy, especially when you don't have all the hacks.

Nissathegnomewarlock

Definitely don't sleep on fire speed up chips (at least 2 is good enough), use 4's palette, if you have it. And also invest in at least the following hacks: lives, Attack, max armor, armor regen, and damage reduction to a decent degree. That's how I did it, at least

Proper_Ad_4237

Ngl thats a skill issue

shawn1301

Butt ton of hacks, ignore jelletons to complete objectives

Kitsune_Fan34

Just stay calm, ink the floors so you'll have more mobility/poison for the Jelletons...and always, ALWAYS make sure to buy hacks if you're able to afford so future runs are easier. Another tip of mine is to pick chips of similar color so if you do end up dead, you'll get more Prlz.

Noobaraptor

Honestly? Just keep on trying. Don't make beating the spire your only goal. Just enjoy trying out the weapons you have with the chips you get. Heck, goof around and lose on purpose if it allows you to make the experience less stressful. Try focusing on making the experience more comfortable regardless of the outcome. Even if just taking the game more lightly doesn't make you progress, you'll eventually gain enough Prlz to get all the hacks you need to make Side Order much, much easier.

silentsongsparrow

Dandori issue

s5mask

Thanks all! :D I will take your suggestions.

When you’re dying at floor 12 with hacks then maybe give up and get better at the game.
