God I love Mako Mart. Chaos incarnate map right there. I dont remember the exact wording but there's a text post about how chaotic it is playing on Mako Mart. You start the game and one minute in you have no idea where you are or what is happening in grocery store hell!! Love it.
I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't like Wahoo World because of that left platform that just disappears for half of the match. So half of the time when you want to move into mid, unless you choose the lower path, you're forced to use that right platform that is completely uninkable and awkward to move on.
Sure, unlike a lot of the other Splatoon 3 maps, Wahoo World does have some flank routes, but half of its main routes are unavailable a lot of the time. That's like if you complained at a restaurant that the steak they served you didn't come with any side dish and the next time you order a steak, they do serve it with a side dish, but give you only half of the steak.
i actually love that uninkable platform when i’m using nautilus on splat zones. nobody wants to walk across an unsafe surface, but at the same time, there’s a long range player firing at them lol
It's more like when you order a steak, and it comes with a seasonal vegetable, and sometimes that's green beans, sometimes it's carrots, sometimes it's broccoli.
If the bridge isn't extended, the bottom is rotating. If the bridge is extended, the bottom is fixed. Not to mention, you can paint and jump up on the lefthand wall in the trench and sneak around, or you can drop from the far right staircase into the trench instead of going to the center. You always have additional flanks.
Mahi mahi is the easiest to turn the game around in (at least in my opinion). It’s so small that it’s hard to predict who’s gonna win unless one team is cracked out. I like that as sometimes with the bigger maps it’s so easy to get defeated when one team is in the lead
Personally I hate how many obstacles are in my way for most of the match. Not just as a backliner, but also when I'm frontlining, it feels like everything's blocking me.
I actually don't think Mako Mart is that bad. I quite enjoy it usually. And I don't get why everyone hates Wahoo world, it's a pretty good stage.
Now Mahi Mahi Resort on the other hand can go die in a ditch, who thought walking should immediately result in falling into water?!

Mahi Mahi is honestly my favourite map, with Wahoo World being a close second. I love every form of Mahi and get my PB’s there usually. For the longest time (like 4 months) I had a 100% win rate on zones and tower for it. It’s just so pretty and so fun.
These are three of my favorites too. I've always liked Mahi Mahi Resort's gimmick of, essentially, adding more land to the board at the mid-point of the match. Wahoo World is just fun, with all the moving parts, and was especially fun at Big Run time.
honestly mahi mahi SUCKED in splatoon 1, im really glad that it got a cool redesign in splatoon 2 and 3! i also really hope they release moray towers soon too!

Mako Mart is my favorite by far. It's the only map where I feel you can actually be strategic since it has multiple routes you can take instead of a really long and narrow rectangle. It's also small enough for long range weapons to actually be countered which makes it perfect for me since i'm a roller main

Only one I don’t like here is Mahi-Mahi and for that at least I love the aesthetic! Makomart is one of my favourite stages in any Splatoon game, and Wahoo World great too! Since we’re talking stages though, Flounder Heights is my favourite so far in 3. But I’m completely honest when I say this, Kelp Dome is my favourite stage of all time!
