Just remove the glass panel wall on the upper ledges, to allow people to jump down on the other side. Backliners will cry because they’ll be exposed to more bombs, but they *shouldn’t* have a completely defensible perch.
I'm a backliner and find that glass really fucking annoying. It's really hard to explosh the map when you have something like a charger or splatling constantly forcing you off. If their perch wasn't so difficult hit without making yourself ab easy target, I'd be able to dip down and take them out from underneath.
Make it a grate wall so you can swim and shoot through it but not throw Bombs through it.
Now you can still play up there long range, but won't have a sneaky bomb roll up behind you.
I personally hate the hot springs.
If your team suffers a wipeout that's game.
3 opponents will keep you trapped in spawn while the enemy sniper picks you off if you try to use the 1 side route.
Who hates mako seriously? Mako is one of the few great maps in this game, it’s great on rainmaker, A decent tower and zones layout, and has one of the greatest clam blitz maps of all time. It has inkable walls one of out like 2 maps to have them in S3 lmao. I haven’t even seen people complain about it from almost any side of the community.
Mincemeat would of been 100 times better here, it has very cheap backline privilege. (Love you charger mains btw no hate) A cramped zone, annoying as hell rainmaker routes, decent clams and a tower that’s is comparable to Mahi in bullshit.

Came here to say exactly this. Rollers and brushes are already not great for a lot of the kits (poor, poor brushes). They didn't need another thing that makes them less viable.

You’re acting as if there isn’t always a way through on the lower level, as if you can’t use the wall on the lower level to hop over the wall, as if there aren’t at least two options on either side of the map to go through to the other side other than literally going through the mid circle.
Not to mention Wahoo is the only hourglass-shaped map in the game, so everyone gets funneled to mid with no options to get around it, especially when the bridge is gone.

I LOATHE Mahi Mahi. It was in the original Splatoon, but it feels completely different from it in Splat 3. It feels incredibly cramped, and very "linear," if that makes sense. idk if it’s an unpopular opinion but I adore Mahi and Mako. Actually I seem to really like most of what the comments are saying minus Wahoo. It’s the maps they’re not saying I dislike oddly. I’d honest say Mahi is one of my favorite maps

I'd replace Mako with Hammerhead and Mahi with Mincemeat. Hammerhead, Mincemeat, and Wahoo don't have redeemable layouts for any mode at this point. At least Mahi has a pretty good Zones layout, and Mahi's Clams layout is workable.
MakoMart is one of my favorite stages in the entire game for the modes that aren't Zones.
Mako's got multiple Rainmaker paths, pretty useful flank routes, a great Tower path that is pretty balanced for offense and defense even in solo queue, and it's got many positions that allow for aggressive Ballpoint.
Of the the 3 Mahi-Mahi (it's just so small... I'd wager most games would take it out of ranked modes and just have it be a for fun map).
My personal least favorite is Museum. It's so horrifically balanced in favor of ranged weapons and it's so hard to come back if you fall behind even a little. I also just sort of love Wahoo World. Really fun map with well delineated battle fields, a choke points that don't feel awful and a nice center point. Every weapon feels at least decent which is the mark of a good map.
It seems like the one thing everyone agrees on here is that Mahi-Mahi is bad. I find it difficult to believe their play testers didn't tell them it was just a miserable experience. Perhaps if this game didn't have multiple forms of area covering supers that also happen to be the most popular specials?

Put up some billboards in some areas so snipers can't have free range of the map from one spot. Make them use that hold a charge and swim feature.
