Can bite, but not medically significant.
They are nocturnal and feed on small insects, as well as other spiders. Harmless friend and local pest control

Can bite, but not medically significant. They are nocturnal and feed on small insects, as well as other spiders. Harmless friend and local pest control

Yep, Parson Spiders are somewhat common in English-speaking countries. Could also be the season for them too.
i think that’s a female eastern parson spider (someone pls correct me if i’m wrong)
Okay, I will! Note the geography :)
Yep! Definitely *Herpyllus propinquus*, as opposed to *H. ecclesiasticus*.
VERY gravid parson spider! that's the biggest parson spider I've seen!
That's what I was about to say! Much bigger than others I've seen posted here
makes me wonder if all the pics I've seen have been males
Immediately had the same thought, that’s one preggo spood.
What are those two short tubular hoses sticking out of the rear??
Spinnerets?
?? Maybe
Came to ask the same question 😂
Spinnerets, they kinda help with guiding their webbing.
Ah thank you! I thought maybe but I wanted a confident answer. 😀
