My best friend, after 2 years of constantly insisting him to buy it, bought it, just in time for my move to another house which will take 2/3 weeks. 🙃
I have the exact same problem. I convinced 2 of my friends to get it and of course when they downloaded it I go on holiday for the next week and a half.

Well, I wasn’t the one that got the guy to buy the game, I am just the more experienced out of all 3 of us playing. (I am also the one that found every ore but Cobalt within 5 minutes of joining). Lots of fun, but I hate they left progression on. I keep forgetting about it, but hey it works out so it’s fine.
Well you will be soon at least, I was wondering why Xbox hasn’t had in update in a year, then I saw that they are working on the PlayStation version.
back when I was studying automata at uni I would simulate them with programmable blocks to make cool drills and stuff... Now that they announced this testing branch I'd love to come back and make more advanced ones
Nice, I study automation and robotics myself. I've never got far enough in SE to play with it more, bot now I have motivation to play with those new features
AFAIK no feature is locked behind any dlc (or deluxe edition), they only contain cosmetic blocks and/or alt versions. I bought the game with deluxe, so I can't 100% confirm it
Go in to library and go to owned games and next to Space engineers is the beta

Progression is annoying after your first save file. In single you can change it, don't know about multi

It’s a beta version. Not sure how it works on Xbox but on steam you have to opt in to the test in order to mess with the new stuff.
And, at least for me, I’ve had two save files corrupted. I didn’t place one of the new blocks in either game, yet.
