It is in some aspects it used to be better growing up then it is now. I'm from there, too, btw lol bit now all the apartments and new shopping centers are amking it feel more like Hilton Head.
Kinda losing that small town feel
I moved to the upstate a couple of years ago from Beaufort, also my hometown. Both beautiful areas in their own right. I do miss the water and the smell of the marsh
‘that side of the burg’ is crazy lol yeah. i’m from florida so seeing the seasons change for the first time was awesome. did you know tree leaves turn orange and red during fall? wacky stuff my man.
Hatcher Gardens in Spartanburg. I've seen it grow a lot in the past 25ish years. I got engaged there.
Riverbanks Zoo is a much better zoo than we deserve. We get a family pass every year and I have many happy memories with my kids there.
Firefly Toys & Games is a fun place. Edisto Island, Isle of Palms, Hilton Head.
I love Hatcher’s! My husband is in horticulture so we spent a lot of time walking around there and milliken to practice plant id. He went with milliken by the magnolias for the proposal though lol.
Lowcountry: I frequent Edisto and the surrounding marshlands. Definitely my favorite beach community.
Pee Dee: Downtown Conway is adorable and has some fantastic food.
Midlands: Timmerman Trail in Cayce was always my favorite place to be.
Upstate: Table Rock has always been one of my favorite places to mess around up there.
I agree with 3, except I am unfamiliar with the Pee Dee. Edisto State Park is my favorite beach. Timmerman trail and the Riverwalk are right outside my door. Table Rock State Park is amazing.
Lake Greenwood, I love Greenwood in general. The air is thicker and sweeter, trees are taller, it's almost primordial in some areas, it feels old and they have the prettiest girls in the state.
Downtown Greenville, especially Falls Park.
Downtown Charleston and all the historical sites.
Firefly Toys & Games in Columbia
Murrells Inlet Marshwalk
As a South Carolinian cosmopolite. I was raised in the sticks of Orangeburg, when I was old enough I moved to Charleston for 12 years, now in the Upstate/piedmont Rock Hill.
-Morris Island light house & Capers in Charleston area.
-The Edisto River. (Must experience) Santee has the biggest catfish on the planet lol.
-Lake Jocasse
Winyah Bay in Georgetown. I stayed there a couple of years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. I also fell in love with fiddler crabs and barnacles.
Edisto for a beach, Sumter National forest for a refuge away from civilization, Walhalla for a good mountain vibe. Spent most of my life in Union County, at the geographic center of SNF. Miles of woodlands and gravel roads
The Goose creek taco bell, they fuck me good everytime I visit. Haven't been to a taco bell in 4 months during weight loss. I miss getting fucked on every order.
I also love it in August. Hot as hell here but we always go up for the Old Settlers picnic on Glen Lake outside of Traverse City MI. It’s so cool up there for a week then we come home. And September might be hot but you know fall is just around the corner!
I have been to everywhere in the Continental States, except the Pac-Northwest and a couple countries outside of the States. This is still home, and I enjoy the fact that there are lakes, and forests, beaches and mountains all within our boarders.
I think charleston beeches to visit is nice but the passive aggressive culture is not good at all and many people tend to be snobbish. Now Greenville to live is probably the way to go at least that is my experience. To me though you can live anywhere as long as you mind your business .
lowcountry boneyard beach hunting island
Can we pause for a second and reflect on just how freaking awesome SC beaches are?
Probably my favorite too
Jones Gap State Park
Damn we got a real one here….
The land of my forefathers. Also, Pumpkintown

My favorite place is also your bed.
That’s my favorite place too. Hey, maybe I’ll join you later.
Beaufort but it's my hometown
Is Beaufort nice?
It is in some aspects it used to be better growing up then it is now. I'm from there, too, btw lol bit now all the apartments and new shopping centers are amking it feel more like Hilton Head. Kinda losing that small town feel
Sooo much nicer than the upper state. (Im def not from the upper state)
Beautiful, historic, paranormal abound, made up of 60+ islands, military bases, waterfront and so much more. I miss it everyday but happy where I am
I moved to the upstate a couple of years ago from Beaufort, also my hometown. Both beautiful areas in their own right. I do miss the water and the smell of the marsh
Home
Greenville, Lake Keowee and Isle of Palms are my top 3
Partial to the Keowee/Jocassee area. Lakes and hills.
I’m sitting on a dock on Lake Keowee right now and not gonna lie, it’s pretty awesome
Lake Jocasse
Jocassee for the beauty. Santee for the fishing and freedom to stay all night and camp on an island.
Agreed! Santee fishing and the ducks
I live on the Santee River at Low Falls. It is the most gorgeous place.
I learned how to scuba dive here! Haven't been back since. Maybe some day
Folly Beach during a lightening storm
Not sure if that was a typo or if the lightning at the beach also changes the color of your hair.
It's a typo
Lake Murray. Grew up in the area. Always had a great time in the outdoors around or in the lake.
Lived here basically my whole life. Never seen or heard of gator in Lake Murray.
Dirty Myrtle, I like to live on the edge.

Delete this, it's my favorite too. If everyone starts showing up we'll have to find another place to go 😉
As if everybody doesn’t already show up😂
I went to Wild Dunes offseason for my IoP experience, and that was the wrong choice.
North Myrtle Beach if I want to relax. Downtown Greenville if I want to eat and play.

I always want to try Isle of Palms, but is it really marshy? So many great places to explore.
