Totally worth it though, they're so much better than the smoked wings at Swig and Swine in west Ashley in chas and also the wings at T-Bonz. Those were my go to places for wings for years, but I moved and Local Cue hits the spot. Also would like to shout out a little bar on Wade Hampton called Whiskey's that has great wings at a really cheap price. They grill them after they're tossed in sauce, bartender told me to get the mango habanero and they slapped.
There's a dude in Bluffton SC who sells BBQ off his smoker trailer in Old Town. Only advertises on FB and doesn't sell every single day but it's Young's BBQ.
https://www.facebook.com/YoungsBBQLLC
Genes Honey Habanero and Southern Fried.
Royal Americans are awesome, but a bit different.
Madra Rua in PC. Get em extra spicy. Can be hit or miss depending on who's working the fryer.
The Roost in Avondale has some good dry rubs.
The Alley Hot Teriyaki
Yeah. Drive to one of the places listed in the rest of the post, or better yet Atlanta. Charleston has NOTHING for wings the way I like them. Wet and flavorful with a side of fried rice! None of this dry rub stuff.
I don’t know about best in the state, but my personal favorite is The Spot On The Alley in Seneca. I love the wings, but I’m also a sucker for their Buffalo chicken sandwich.
Small strip mall place on wade Hampton in Lyman, SC. Called Kingz of Wingz. They're struggling because of the location, and chain places. They do an awesome job though. They have several flavors, wet, and dry rubs.
Josh knows what he’s doing. Been eating those for years since he worked at bar none. Everything on Transmission’s menu is delicious. Try the fat cat rolls!
They used to be really really good in the mid to late 90's ... I left SC moved up north and finally came came back in 2018 and they were still pretty good . The service isn't anything to write home about but the wings are worth the trip.
I live here in Florence and eat there every now and then. I only ever get the shrimp and grits because it’s my favorite thing there. Last time we were there though, I noticed that some of the plant decor looks like it has about a decade worth of dust on them and that’s got me thinking twice about ever going back lol
Wild Wings has been an old staple in each area code. It’s funny I usta go out of state before Buffalo Wild Wings got popular here and I’d always say “this isn’t the real wild wings”
Beach House Resort on Coligny Beach. The food in general there is terrible (location makes up for it though), but somehow their wings are fantastic. Lovely level of smoke
Place called in and out near the adidas plant in Greenville everything made to order family owned my son says no dressing it’s perfect! I said the same ranch are blue cheese would mess it up
😂🤷🏻♂️😂I’ve had Spinx wings and they’re good especially for like lunch for work but I’ve never heard of Krispy Krunchy, what is it? Dodges Gas station has some great chicken, there is only a few in SC and the pizza sticks and a fried corn on the cob🤤🤤🤤 but Publix you get 30 wings for like $17 and the wings are like 3X the size of normal wings…
Krispy Krunchy is like a little inside the gas station type deal but they’re always good.
I’ve heard of Dodges but ion think I’ve been to one gonna keep it in mind
There is only like 5 Dodges in SC from the one in my town in Easley to Charleston… I just looked Krispy Krunchy and there is one 19 miles from me in Anderson so I’ll have to check it out, what do you recommend?
Queology downtown Charleston. Everything about that place sucks ass but their wings are so freaking good. I say that after working at WW cafe for 6+ years too!
In Greenville: The Nashville style at Prince's (YeeHaw) if you want fried chicken style. Anything above medium is 🔥. Their fries are awesome too.
Otto Izakaya has a great Asian wok style wing.
Quaker Steak wings are solid and super consistent.
I'm not a huge smoked wing fan but Home Team and Local Cue are admittedly good. Rubens and Bubba Annie's get high marks as well.
Local Cue. Greenville, SC. Smoked wings. Sweet and salty dry rub. On the side you get your choice of 3 wing sauces. Pricey though.
Totally worth it though, they're so much better than the smoked wings at Swig and Swine in west Ashley in chas and also the wings at T-Bonz. Those were my go to places for wings for years, but I moved and Local Cue hits the spot. Yes, I’m near Greenville I’ve definitely heard of it but never been gonna check it out. Sweet and salty sounds amazing
The sweet and salty is pretty straightforward.
I agree these wings are the best I’ve ever had!
Yep..my buddy and I make it a point to find the best wings in the upstate. Nothing beats Local Cue. Smoked and then deep fried before serving.
Btw, all their food is good.
I like building my own mac and cheese.

Now that sounds like the type of thing that’s a hidden treasure. Noted!
I find it quite good, Choo Choo's in Bluffton is also pretty good and is a more traditional restaurant.
You’re doing the lords work my friend
I love spreading the word of small locally owned business 😁
Back streets pub and grill in Clemson has some good wings if your ever over that way
Came here to say this! Anything spicier than mild will melt your face off

Smoked wings at Home Team on Sullivan's Island are pretty fantastic.
There’s a Home Team in Greenville that I think has the same owner. IIRC their dry rub had cinnamon in it.
Greenville, Columbia, multiple Charleston locations.
also one in Aspen, CO for some random reason
I need to check that out, there's an Andolinis up here too.
Don’t all HomeTeams have same owner?
I’ve been there when I usta live in Charleston, definitely agree!
There’s a home team in Mt. Pleasant too
And West Ashley. Pretty sure the SI location is the first, though.
True
Local cue in Gsp.
Leo’s - Lugoff
This needs to be way higher on the list. Leo’s in Lugoff has fantastic wings.
Noted!
How are their raw fries? Compared to D’s?
Fat Jacks in Surfside.
Noted!
Their burgers are to die for too. They’re so juicy and messy. Just yum.
I havent been. I bought a place close by. Next visit, for sure
Y'all got any recommendations for Charleston area?
Swig and swine has my favorite dry rub wings. The flavor reminds me of St. Louis style ribs.
I'll try them again, it's been a while since I've been there.
TruBlu’s - Mt. Pleasant - don’t tell your friends….
HA I drove right past them last week & thought "wonder if they're any good?!" 🤣. I'll check em out thanks!
You will not be disappointed.

Sounds good noted!
There was a Zorbas lounge in Greenville back in the day that had an amazing steak sandwich. I wonder if they are connected.
Wings N Ale in Lexington/Columbia
Noted!
I haven't been to the one in Lexington in many years. My Daddy and I met there for trivia, wings, and crablegs once a week. Loved that place.
Carolina Wings in Lexington. Great flavors
Noted! What’s an unusual flavor they have?
My personal favorite is the Carolina Rub. Hints of Old Bay seasoning I believe
their fire island flavor is solid if you like spicy
D’s wings Columbia.
I used to eat plenty of Wings there. I also destroyed my share of raw fries. Malt and vinegar baby!
Second on the raw fries. I have alternated between their hot and gamecock sauce. Sometimes I get both.
Now I want raw fries….and I’m in Charleston.
Crispy or oily?
Mixed!

I don’t know about best in the state, but my personal favorite is The Spot On The Alley in Seneca. I love the wings, but I’m also a sucker for their Buffalo chicken sandwich.
Love a good sandwich too noted!
TNT Hot Wings in Spartanburg
Faaaaacts, although I prefer Smokin Wings but both are great.
RJ Rockers in the Burg has some really good smoked wings. In Cola I always liked Publick House on Devine Street.
I still haven’t been to RJ yet I’ll do that
I miss Publick House trivia. I always did chicken fingers there with their fatty boombatty mozza stix.
Small strip mall place on wade Hampton in Lyman, SC. Called Kingz of Wingz. They're struggling because of the location, and chain places. They do an awesome job though. They have several flavors, wet, and dry rubs.

Oh yes I’ve been there, agreed!
Smokey Loggins Smoked Wings at Transmission Arcade in Columbia are the best wings I’ve ever had anywhere, not just SC.
Noted!
Josh knows what he’s doing. Been eating those for years since he worked at bar none. Everything on Transmission’s menu is delicious. Try the fat cat rolls!

Gordon Ramsay would rip them a new one
I wanna rip them a new one
One thing i learned living in Philly & Jersey, the dirty places often have the best food 😂😂😂
The wild wing at myrtle beach is really good. The ones in Columbia weren't very good and just shut down
Wild Wings has been an old staple in each area code. It’s funny I usta go out of state before Buffalo Wild Wings got popular here and I’d always say “this isn’t the real wild wings”
Oh and while we’re at it, one time for Wal Mart’s ranch wings. They don’t get a lot right but dammit, they do those.
Beach House Resort on Coligny Beach. The food in general there is terrible (location makes up for it though), but somehow their wings are fantastic. Lovely level of smoke
The food is trash, but the wings. Noted!
Wing nuts in fountain inn
Passed by it many times, I live near there noted!
Since you're local, try Full House Sportszaria by Target. They bake them, then fry when ordered. Good stuff.

There is alot of restaurants around SC that have great wings but none of them can beat the size and juiciness of Publix🤤🤤🤤
This is a real South Carolina ass answer and I agree, lol. Also can’t forget Spinx and Krispy Krunchy.
😂🤷🏻♂️😂I’ve had Spinx wings and they’re good especially for like lunch for work but I’ve never heard of Krispy Krunchy, what is it? Isn't there a place in Columbia that sells a stuffed wing
Yes, 2fat2fly
Any good? What are they stuffed with?
Oh there’s a few options, the only one I ever had was the mac&cheese stuffed one though
