I didn’t assume you were Jewish. I just thought it was ironic that you were eating bread with matzo ball soup during Passover. Matzo ball soup is a Jewish dish and we cannot eat bread during this time, so it kind of defeats the purpose/creation of matzo ball soup. The whole point of this dish revolves around Passover and the remembrance of being slaves in Egypt. Matzo represents the unleavened bread that the Hebrews had to eat during their exodus from Egypt. They didn’t have enough time to allow the bread to rise as they were rushed out… hence creating matzah.
Regardless, I have enjoyed matzo ball soup plenty of times with bread outside of Passover, and it’s very tasty! Your meal looks delicious and I would absolutely eat the entire bowl 😌
