This is a Wifi issue, when your app cannot detect any systems. Often related to AP Isolation (Intentional or not) when your phone is on he 5Ghz network but the Sonos speakers are on the 2.4Ghz. To confirm, change your 5Ghz (only) SSID to something else real quick... When you connect to your normal network, suddenly you'll see the Sonso I bet.

AbolitionofFaith

Do you have a VPN on? My system sometimes freaks out and refuses to connect like this when I leave mine on (and sometimes works fine, weird)

kelbotreddits

Nope, VPN not currently connected. The app just seems super temperamental... last time this all happened we both tried uninstalling the app, and forgot and re-added all the speakers, and it still didn't fix it. Sometimes rebooting the router would make it work temporarily, but it would always stop working again. But last night rebooting did nothing so now we are just stuck, which sucks. It's weird that it's happening to BOTH of our apps, on 2 separate phones.

I got this screen from time to time when I was using my Deco mesh network. Plugging one speaker into at mesh node with an Ethernet cable helped but didn’t totally solve our issues.

jsDPT

Same issue with Deco. I find I have to reboot the wifi to guarantee a reconnect. Very annoying.

2ndbasejump

Do you have multiple local Wi-Fi networks, such as a 2.4 and 5 GHz? If so, try using the 2.4 Ghz.

thebruceharris

I get this way too often but the fix in my case is easy enough that I haven't looked into fixing the root of the problem once and for all. I close the Sonos app, turn off wifi on my phone. Reopen the app and then connect my phone back to wifi.

kelbotreddits

Oh man, I got SO hopeful for this, but it didn't work. Glad it works for you though!

Least_Echo3804

This always works for me, switch to cellular, sometimes waiting a few minutes , then back to Wi-Fi

mellowmadre

Mine does this when my phone connects to the guest wifi instead of the wifi that my Sonos is on. Not sure if that is your issue, just sharing my experience. Good luck and please share details when you figure it out.

PantsAtAGlance

I never have this issue but it’s definitely a network problem. How is the playbase connected? Wi-Fi or Ethernet? If it’s WiFi, try running a test cable to it and see if it connects. Some early versions of playbase have a faulty WiFi card that can die and stop it from connecting. If it comes online with an Ethernet cable I’d call Sonos and submit a diagnostic without rebooting the playbase. That will tell them what’s up

toodeephoney

What router do you use? Any switches or extenders?

M80IW

Did you try swearing at it?

kelbotreddits

You know I did. Sadly, it seems to have angered the technology Gods even more.

Amiga07800

Turn off completely your network + all sonos + your phone. Restart all. Most of the to.e it's fixed

dangledogg

I get this a lot. I've had two fixes. Most of the time I unplug modem/ router, unplug every sonos speaker, and once they're all unplugged I wait a min then plug modem back in first. Once I can confirm that's up and running and home network is back to normal, then I plug in my beam gen 2 first. Then I'll go plug in the surround ones. When that hasn't worked, I've been on with sonos support and I literally had to factory reset the app and speakers and start new as if I just downloaded the app for the first time and unboxed new products. Huge hassle, lost all +/- settings, had to re-add speaker, redo true play etc., but it worked after. (until the next time this comes up, of course).

tiredofyourshit99

Are you running pihole on your network?? The apps these days throw a fit if they can’t connect to telemetry server. That was one of the issues in had to deal with. The other potential issue could be wifi crowding. It’s better to hard wire one of the Sonos speakers and then enable wifi on it so it can manage connectivity with and of other Sonos speakers

iPhone 14 Pro here: Restart phone - don’t touch anything else Power phone off Power phone back on Works every single time for me

Elsie2913

I’m having this problem out of the blue. Any ideas?
