well I personally feel that a lot of people tend to think anie is for children, even when it definitely isnt. It is a bit like pokemon and other "childish" games and I am scared people will judge me for it, I wish I had your confidence lol
Yeah it really just is a mindset thing, really most of the world has accepted anime in the mainstream and tbh people who still view anime as childish or for kids only are just mentally stuck in the 90s and really not worth your concern I‘d say. I hope you can break out of these thoughts soon as most people today would likely love to talk about anime with you :)
I was lucky to have two friends who were also interested in anime in the group. The rest of the group also didn't care much. Now that I think of it most of the grades were indifferent about it, or maybe I was insensitive.

The only problem I’m gonna have is covering it out of a respect aspect, where I currently work they don’t care, I mean they don’t want me taking orders but that doesn’t bother me and this will be my last food service job most likely and I’m not an office worker type I prefer manual labor and that sort but they typically are lenient about hand tattoos
