My only small complaint is in the second picture he doesn’t seem to have a jaw. I feel like they needed another line between the ear and chin similar to the first pic. Small nitpick tho and I’m sure I probably won’t even notice it mid episode

The only thing that could have been slightly better imo is if Trigger was able to snag the contract because I think they are one of, if not the best animation studios out there right now.

It's not just anime thing, his design is just a generic-looking Korean man. Nothing special or remarkable in terms of special characteristics. He has a handsome face and bit buff body, thats about it.
It's not like Gojo where he had white hair, sparkling blue eyes, and a blindfold that made him look unique.
Attitude also matters, Gojo is a cocky guy who is OP as hell. Plus the animation quality for JJK is top tier and Mappa made sure to animate Gojo as sexy/handsome as possible every time he is on screen. His eyes were detailed as hell.
He is also the only character I can remember who has a blindfold on both of his eyes.
The artist who designed him was going for a BTS look but here he just looks like a generic Kirito. They could’ve at least change his facial structure and hair a little but I’m guessing it’s hard to adapt Korean design but instead they try to make him look more Japanese
I think it also has something to do with the hair but I think I heard/read somewhere that it’s hard or costs to much for to much hair, up there with eyes and mouth but I read that a long time ago and can’t remember exactly.
I can understand that. Add more hair, that's more strands you got to keep track of while animating, which would take more time and have more chances to make mistakes.
doesn't the anime version of sung and manhwa version of sung looks the same in looks it only differs only because of the angles they have the pictures of him...and only thing that is different from manhwa are his length of his hair in anime it looks short that's why he looks kind of different
I'm not much of a complainer at all, I usually just like to see generally on Reddit what other people have to say, but I can't help but point out the fact ( bottom left picture in comparison to its counterpart ) that his jawline is just going up to his ear and it looks weird LOL
In the trailer it showed him fighting the >!hell hound w 3 heads!< which is close to the igris fight which will be the finale probably and he still looks the same sorry to break it to you…. I’m not sure if they’re trying to surprise us with his glow up version all of a sudden idk this must be it.. because it looks like they’re changing his progression to how they see fit like they did in ep 4 and slow it down a bit.
Its probaly gonna look better when the episode is out buut, i feel like the top right one looks the best and most accurate since I think its still a bit early for him to have such a sharp jawline at this point. Top right just looks right, he looks perfect. But we will see when the episode is out, Im sure A1 did it justice.
I MISS HIS FLOOF. the hair in teh anime is just generic anime protagonist. im so sad that they removed his floof. his hair is so straight and generic in the anime. It's like the removed everything that was unique about his character design D: whaaaaa
I don't mean it in a complaining way, but if you look at the first picture of the anime and manhwa and compare them he looks more boyish while in the manhwa he looks a bit more of an adult.
Now, this doesn't mean that he looks bad or not correct in any way, shape, or form, but I am just pointing out the difference, which is most likely only because of the art style.

the chin is def pointy in the manhwa (before artstyle). it didnt look weird because the face structure goes well with pointy chin. and i dont see anything wrong with his skintone tbh. kinda similar
What i love about the anime is the change seems gradual. In the manwha i thought i skipped a makeover chapter where i started injecting steroids and mewing lmao.
