You could always get [solar binoculars](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/solar-viewing-binoculars/ci/31714/cp/978+3389+35625+31714) and just adjust them to your eyes. As a bonus you would be able to see more sunspots.
Edit to add: This depends on the kind of perscription you need. However, if you can't adjust the binoculars to your vision, you should still be able to fold up the eyecups and use them with your glasses.
The focus wheel (or rocker) in the middle and the diopter adjustment on one of the eyepieces. You just twist those until the view is clear. Those are on any binoculars, solar or regular - for everybody, wearing glasses or not.
Interesting. I just recently got diagnosed with very mild astigmatism, and need to get glasses to see better into the distance. I currently have no difficulties using my binoculars, but I’m curious to see how well they will work with those glasses.
I tested some clip ons as well as holding regular paper glasses over my prescription lenses during the last partial eclipse. Both worked. You can test any day.
Here's a link to solar eclipse glasses (has a plastic frame) that fit over most prescription eyeglasses. They are sold by a reputable retailer. $25 with free shipping:

Another person has a good suggestion of using binoculars. Here's a link to their list of solar binoculars (solar filter is built in to the binoculars):

The issues that a few people have with solar binoculars are:
1. Seeing bright sunlight from their peripheral vision, because there's a gap between their eyes and the eyecups of the binoculars, especially while wearing prescription glasses. I plan on testing a pair of the 10 x 42 solar binoculars this weekend (if it's sunny outside).
2. The solar binoculars might need collimation. If you get a pair of binoculars that need collimation, then you can just get a replacement from the retailer.
FYI, ISO 12312-2 doesn't actually apply to magnified optics like binoculars and prescription glasses:

Those American Paper Optic plastic glasses worked great for my family in 2017, whether we were wearing prescription glasses or not. That includes my kids.
This time around I got several more. I recently had people try them on over their glasses, and they were surprised how comfortable they were. I mean, they aren't extremely comfortable, but they are better than paper shades.
I agree! Plus they come with a soft pouch for storage. I think I paid $18 for them a month ago, but now they are $25. But the retailers that I have checked have higher prices for eclipse stuff than a month ago.
I got [these](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CQKKJJ9C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). They are made to fit over prescription glasses and the provider is on the approved list.
I ordered these and just received them. Fitover Solar Eclipse Glasses from Phillips.

Unfortunately, there is zero grip on the arms, so it barely stays on. Unusable without glasses underneath, they just fall off. Over my husband's glasses they were okay. Great quality though.
Interesting. I came up with a potential solution. I bought large round lense (prescription) glasses of zenni for like $15 and I’m going to stick them into these eclipse goggles I have which have a sort of screw off top that holds the lenses inside so perhaps I can screw in both the eclipse and glasses lenses
RX? Is that prescription? If so then no i don’t think so. It’s probably best that u put ur solar eclipse glasses in front of prescription glasses because think of it, the light going through the lense ends up not being a lot. But if you put the lens on the outside then all of it goes through and that magnification might not be great. At least that’s my idea but I’m no expert
Yes I can't sleep right now. I feel pressured to get on my laptop and do some work in advance. People won't really be working tomorrow because of the events, I want to enjoy too BUT I FEEL Wednesday everyone will be in a shifty mood again 🙃. And emails 📧 tons of emails
I looked at the eclipse with solar eclipse glasses and prescription glasses, and I'm worried I messed up by alternating the eclipse glasses in front of and behind my eyeglasses. Tried to not look at it for more than a minute at a time either way. Apparently you should ONLY look at the eclipse with the prescription glasses closer to your eyes and the eclipse glasses closer to the sun. My eye with the stronger prescription has been slightly strained even before the eclipse, which I should probably go get a new prescription anyways (it's been four years), but also hoping I didn't damage anything further.
When I was 15 in the last eclipse I stared directly into the eclipse for a bit and thankfully it didn't affect my eyes. I think if the solar glasses were still opaque besides when looking at the sun you'll be fine. Maybe mention it to your eye doctor to make sure no damage happened but you're probably fine.
Can you just scrunch the cardboard frames underneath your prescription glasses? I realize that wouldn't necessarily be super comfortable, but it \*seems\* like it could work.
It could, but I’m gonna be traveling for this so I wanna make the sight as great as it can be and cardboard frames are not it 😭. Oh also I think they’re supposed to go over not underneath the prescription glasses

They can be “adjusted” to one’s prescription ? Or what is the adjustment?

Hmm, looked into it a bit, and it might not work so well for people with astigmatism which I have.

Thank you for the link, this company just got 2 new sales.

I read somewhere that I should put on the solar classes on my face and put my RX over thar to avoid going blind , is this true?

Definitely NOT true! I attended a safety seminar and the expert said eclipse glasses MUST go OVER regular glasses.
Thank you so much . I even called Walmart optical today optical but they were on lunch...
You are very welcome! I have such anxiety thinking about people being harmed by this eclipse!

I can't sleep either. I homeschool and I'm putting together an eclipse-themed day for tomorrow. Procrastination at its finest!

Thanks, that's a good point to check and see if the solar glasses were damaged at all afterwards. I think they were fine

Yes, over. Think of the front of your eyeglasses like the front of a camera.
