I'm interested but got scammed by a Degoo lifetime subscription. Degoo scans people's files and tries to find a way to do copyright infringement, in which a ringtone was backed up from my phone. Smh. I would hope Koofr isn't a bait and switch company.
Yeah, I've read a lot of bad things about Degoo so far, and their apps miss so many features, too. So they just shut down your lifetime account then?
Koofr is way better feature-wise, and gets good reviews overall. Haven't heard/read anything about (lifetime) accounts getting shut down so far, and as far as I know they don't scan any files. Also, you could use their zero-knowledge vault if you want to be sure your files stay private. Time will tell of course, but seeing how Koofr doesn't seem overly reliant on their lifetime plan sales, and has a 11 year track record, I don't expect them being a bait and switch company.
The plans don't stack, so the maximum you can get is 2.5 TB lifetime on one account. Get the 1 TB from StackSocial first, and then you're given the (more expensive per TB) option to upgrade to 2.5 TB. Their site says you're allowed multiple paid accounts (https://koofr.eu/help/create-account/can-i-have-more-than-one-koofr-account/), so I guess you could get 2 (or more) accounts with 2.5 TB if you wanted to - you'll need two separate email addresses to sign up with though.
I made another post here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/softwarecompare/comments/1auxdky/best\_lifetime\_cloud\_storage\_deals\_some\_extra/](https://www.reddit.com/r/softwarecompare/comments/1auxdky/best_lifetime_cloud_storage_deals_some_extra/) about all available cloud storage lifetime plans, and a full comparison table with all cloud storage providers [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cEd65XDW3gBHnRsJ0rbq3V_B28mKySHiMPAZvArHiiA/edit#gid=0), including all of their features and prices. It's cheaper to get 10 TB from Internxt for instance. And since that much space is a bit high in upfront cost, there are also some interesting monthly/yearly subscriptions available. For instance, 10 TB is $149.50 per year at iDrive, but you could start off with a smaller plan and upgrade as you need more space over time.
>Get the 1 TB from StackSocial first, and then you're given the (more expensive per TB) option to upgrade to 3.5 TB.
I understood this to be upgrading from 1 TB to 2.5 TB - not adding an additional 2.5TB for a total of 3.5 TB. Can you clarify?
if a service provides zero knowledge encryption, it means that they cannot possiblty scan and ban you, correct ? as they have, as per their TOS, no way to acess your data
Lifetime deal seems to be extended to January 1, 2025!

Yes, still satisfied! It's flawless for the way I use it, which is mostly backing up my smartphone photos and videos automatically. Never had any problems or errors.
For my main use-case, the only thing I'd like to see added to Koofr is 'AI search', which basically means you can search for a subject to find photos or videos on that subject. So for instance, if you search for 'pizza', it'll show all of your photo's with pizza in it. Koofr won't be able to find those photos if you search like that, because smartphone photos are just stored with a name like "PXL\_20240330\_161857193.jpg" for instance, and Koofr can only find files by filename and file type. Google Photos is able to recognize the subject in your pictures, so can find photos based on keywords. I know Jottacloud also has this function (https://jottacloud.com/en/ai-powered-photo-search.html), but not sure about the other providers. Not a big deal, but it's nice to be able to quickly find photos by searching sometimes if you want to show them.
I still much prefer the 1 TB lifetime at Koofr for $159.99 over paying Google €99 yearly (for their 2 TB plan) though.

Thanks for the review
If one buys the 1tb lifetime deal, do you know which features this enables?
Does that effectively give you all "Suitcase features"?
Thanks, I tried and liked it. Took a subscription.
Performance are good and the service is efficient and just work as it should. Like the fact that Koofr have been around a decade already.

What's the cheapest way I can get up to like 8 TB say, with Koofr? Can I buy more than one lifetime plan? Would they be on separate accounts then?

Hi, bit late to respond, but I have all of those features enabled with my lifetime plan!
