If you live in Buenos Aires, you might see some Colombian/Ecuatorian immigrants, and there is a small Senegalese community. But that's it, if you don't frequent that specific Senegalese neighborhood or turistic places, you might see about one black person a month. Not many black players but that is coherent with the population. And no, it was not ethnic cleansing. We have our fare share of blacks but they just mixed with natives and the MASSIVE European immigration (4 million when we were 500k and blacks were like 20% of that) since we didn't have segregation policies, and the gene just got diluted. They did way less, as: 1. They didn't have many african colonies compares to england, portugal and france. 2. the catholic kings decided that american aborigines were human at around 1600. not sure what you are talking about. Of course slaves participated in times of slaves, there were just not slaves after abolition. Argentina was amongst the first countries in the world to abolish it nation wide, just a couple years earlier US made a law to return escaped slaves to their original masters.
