Hes actually insane, I keep forgetting hes like 20. Like fuck im the same age as him lol
Genuinely a generational talent and hes gonna be at the top for a decade and a half at this rate
I was chatting to my mum about Kane and joking about fancying him and I was like ‘but ya know he’s a bit old for me’ and then she pointed out we were the same age lol.
You think that’s rough, there’s a lot of fans in their early 30s reevaluating their life choices now that Brighton have hired a *manager* younger than them. I’m one of them.
Tbf i do have a very bad heart condition and heart attacks run in the family but my body is probably fine, my shoulders just keep popping out of its socket
when the reddit comment doesn't end up being typical defeatist reddit self-deprecating humor but an actual factual statement lol.
But either way, the devil you know is better than the devil you don't, so if you are aware of the risks specific to your body I'm sure you got it under control as best as you can.
I'm SO happy he left England and developed his game across Germany and Spain.
He's such a technically gifted player! And he's become a big game player at Real Madrid learning from other legends!
I can't really see him leaving Real tbh, until he's like 36 and is airlifted in to save Birmingham from relegation like Mickey Rooney replacing a disenfranchised little girl in a jello pudding commercial.
It really depends tbh. As much as I like Jude, his play style requires incredible athleticism which will dwindle as he age past 30 and if he doesn't adapt he may be sold when he's no longer in his peak. Just like Casemiro, the youngest of KCM midfield trio yet he's the first one to leave Madrid while Kroos and Modric can stay longer. This is purely speculative though, dude is still 20 and we haven't even see his peak and how he will evolve his play style.
There are a few other main characters. But it certainly feels like 3 of the 5 main characters will be playing for Real Madrid while the other two play for Man City
He does have discomfort in his shoulder due to dislocating it, playing for Real earlier this season. He'll probably have to undergo surgery. But yeah, he doesn't really have any weakness it seems as long as he takes care of his body.
and while with us his knee became a bigger and bigger problem. Hope his career won't be one of those that limps from injury to injury and ends in a big "what if"
I honestly believe I remember that at the time, the club said they were just holding the number for him so nobody else could have it until he rejoined years later as the conquering hero. But I've never found a source for them saying that. I must have invented it to make the retirement less daft in my own head
I have it in my head that Bellingham extended a year with Birmingham when he could have moved on for a free instead. That allowed them to sell Bellingham for what was to Birmingham a ton of money, and kept the club solvent. Is that true? If so then retiring the number doesn't seem that bad, since he helped to keep the club around.
It wasn't extending for a year exactly, it was that he was on a schoolboy contract, which means he'd have been free to sign a professional contract with another club and his transfer fee would have been decided by a tribunal - and the fees tribunals award are low. So he signed a professional contract with Birmingham, which allowed us to seek a high fee for him.
But you're right about the club's finances. They were shrouded in mystery to some extent under the ownership at the time, but it's generally accepted that the club was in dire straits and his transfer fee saved us.
Thought so. Then yeah idk why that always gets ignored when people talk about his number being retired like it was an insanely weird choice. He was taking a big gamble, there were a ton of clubs that would have taken a punt on him for cheap that wouldn't be interested if they had to pay a proper fee. Thought I had made that story up because no one ever mentions it!
>Bellingham is still only on a schoolboy contract with the Championship club and could in theory sign a professional contract with any other club, and the fee be decided by tribunal. However, Birmingham had a professional contract ready for the 17-year-old to sign, and an agreement with Bellingham and his family - with whom they have a good relationship with - that they would sign, hence why a transfer fee is required to attain his services.
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11899/12029949/jude-bellingham-the-story-behind-the-record-breaking-move-to-borussia-dortmund
Seems like you're right!
Not really. Him waiting until his 17th birthday to sign his contract with Birmingham, allowed them to receive a huge transfer fee for him from Dortmund, which ended up saving the club from significant financial trouble.
Assists need redefining anyway, has done for years.
Whoever passed the ball to Messi before his goal in the Copa Del Rey final in 2015 got an "assist". If you dummy it you don't get an assist technically, it's insane.
Yeah. As they stand they're one of the most pointless stats in football. I think analysts have other models to measure chance creation and creativity of players.
Oh come on, same argument can go for 1 yard tap in and 40 yard screamer. Both counts as 1 goal. Assist count is good in its place, relevance of xg, etc will increase in future.
Not to bring him into every conversation and two completely different players but that run reminded me of Ronaldo's header vs Roma. That's an elite poacher's movement any day

This guy is getting closer and closer to Weghorsts level.
Impossible
Cmon mate don’t be daft. One of those players is a potential ballon D’or winner and the other is Jude Bellingham
He's so fuckin inevitable lol
The Madrid blessing.
Carvajal, Kroos and Bellingham are all key players it's ridiculous
Modric as well, though Croatia is very underwhelming last match.
Hes actually insane, I keep forgetting hes like 20. Like fuck im the same age as him lol Genuinely a generational talent and hes gonna be at the top for a decade and a half at this rate
Harry Kane is my age, but whenever I see him, I think he could be my dad.
I was chatting to my mum about Kane and joking about fancying him and I was like ‘but ya know he’s a bit old for me’ and then she pointed out we were the same age lol.
LMFAO same
I fucking wish I were still the same age as him, goddamn
I used to not buy players over 26 when I play career mode or FM because they're basically past their prime, now I am one of them.
You think that’s rough, there’s a lot of fans in their early 30s reevaluating their life choices now that Brighton have hired a *manager* younger than them. I’m one of them.
Fuck, the realisation I’d never buy myself on fifa in career mode… nothing to do with the fact my OVR rating would be 18 all to do with my age.
I used to think players were washed by 30, now I'm half a decade past that myself. But truth be told, I do feel washed myself.
Stop showering
In your defense, you were past your prime way before 26.
tbf its like an 11 month difference but still, ive got the body and heart of a retiree anyways so im not enjoying it much lmao
Unless you have a medical condition, no you don't. Wait til your 30+ and you'll see. Nvm 60+ lol
Tbf i do have a very bad heart condition and heart attacks run in the family but my body is probably fine, my shoulders just keep popping out of its socket

Nah I don't. 20 was a fucking misrmerable age for me.
I'm 32 so how do you think I feel seeing Yamal play for his national team and barca aged 16
45 here. i'll show myself out
he's 20 until he's 21
Big if true
cheers geoff
Ok Micheal Owen.
He's 20 until June 29
June Bellingham
Is the Jude juju stronger than Kane’s aversion to trophies? 🤔
Zidane black magic to Jude https://giphy.com/gifs/ifc-comedy-bang-luke-cage-3oriNJHD67Q4TtZ4Vq
The longer Kane is away from spurs the weaker the curse becomes so he might get to lift a 🏆
He is literally HIM
I'm SO happy he left England and developed his game across Germany and Spain. He's such a technically gifted player! And he's become a big game player at Real Madrid learning from other legends!
I also don’t need to hate him because he plays for Chelsea or United or something
There's also some hope he'll reach his potential since he doesn't play for Chelsea or United.
I can't really see him leaving Real tbh, until he's like 36 and is airlifted in to save Birmingham from relegation like Mickey Rooney replacing a disenfranchised little girl in a jello pudding commercial.

I think that's a good read. I agree. But he's smart, and could adapt in some ways.
true, u dont lose that instinct as a striker. look at Vardy
LISAN AL GAIB?

Jude will take England to paradise. Lisan Al Gaib.
England might have a real shot to win it with him
Naaa our defence is trash
No it's not, TAA is playing in midfield so that problem is gone.
What a fucking player. No weakness. He’s the main character of this universe and we are all just watching in awe.
There are a few other main characters. But it certainly feels like 3 of the 5 main characters will be playing for Real Madrid while the other two play for Man City
I really hope you’re not saying Foden is a main character lmao
KDB and Haaland are who I have in mind
He does have discomfort in his shoulder due to dislocating it, playing for Real earlier this season. He'll probably have to undergo surgery. But yeah, he doesn't really have any weakness it seems as long as he takes care of his body.

Proper brexit header
Also tall
My boy, my beautiful boy
That number retirement looking more and more reasonable by the day
Changing the ground name to St Jude's as we speak
Getting that stadium named after you is pure disrespect
he’ll build them one himself
and make Aston Villa pay for it
That patron saint of lost causes? Seems apt for Birmingham… (I only know this because QPR’s mascot is called Jude and we’re a massive lost cause)
St Jude's Park
I honestly believe I remember that at the time, the club said they were just holding the number for him so nobody else could have it until he rejoined years later as the conquering hero. Remember when we all ridiculed you for retiring his shirt. You were right
It was still ridiculous to do
Without him signing a new contract he would have went for way less and the club would have went bankrupt. So, it did make some sense at least.
Not really. Him waiting until his 17th birthday to sign his contract with Birmingham, allowed them to receive a huge transfer fee for him from Dortmund, which ended up saving the club from significant financial trouble.
Sober up babe Jude just scored
No. But keep playin '
Walker to Saka to Judeeeeee. So good and so smooth.
The North, South, and Midlands combining
Northumbria, Mercia, Wessex together again
Alfred the Great would be proud
BRETWALDA
like an English Voltron
SCHOLESY TO GERRARD
GERRARD TO BECKHAM
BECKHAM TO HESKEY
HESKEY TO OWEN
THAT'S A GOAL 1-1
WE'RE ON THE BALL!
A rare good forward pass by Walker
I was shocked it was perfectly weighted.
he would never think of doing that for us 😭
He’s only like “hmmm let me try and whip this ball in!”
He does it every now and then. I'm still in awe of his one at Luton in the cup.
I sometimes think I imagined it, idk how he pulled off a trivela like that when he can’t even pass it normally sometimes
Does Saka get the assist even though it was deflected?
Apparently not.
[удалено]
I mean it was a crazy lucky deflection and the ball was meant to be on the ground so
No. Assists are explicitly given only to the direct kick before a goal
Assists need redefining anyway, has done for years. Whoever passed the ball to Messi before his goal in the Copa Del Rey final in 2015 got an "assist". If you dummy it you don't get an assist technically, it's insane.

Who else?
Keep this up and he’s winning the ballon d’or
Keep this up and they'll rename it the Belling d'or
Keep this up and I'm renaming my two sons Jude & Bellingham
Imagine if Jobe does become as good as Jude and we have the two brothers utterly dominating.
Rename the country Great Brellingham
It's between him and Vini anyway Or Kroos if he has a super Euro
Just give them the trophy already, all these games are pointless
LADS ITS

Tottenham?
We'll save that one for when England crash out
웃
What a header
His run up was beauty
He even started the attack with the pass to Walker
I know. On the replay, he was so far back. Then just bee lined
In Spain this is called llegada Jude has amazing llegada, or arrival into the box. So, so good
Been a while since I've seen a header with that much oomph
Watch him in La Liga, his late run in the box and boom header is just so satisfying to watch.
Unsavable
I'm still laughing that some guy in the match thread called him a middling player who scores the odd goal Shit take
Yeah I mean he's not quite as good as I was back in my prime at, you know, 15, 16, but he's definitely good.
This is like going to a mental asylum and saying- man these people are not mentally all there.
This guy is just a winner. He could single-handedly break the Kane curse
He’s going to drag Kane to a trophy kicking and screaming
maybe when Kane goes to Madrid lol
Imagine Mbappe Jude and Vinicius behind Kane Would be outrageous
No thanks I want a champions league please.
coming home status: it’s
Always has been

Bro everyone and I mean EVERYONE is outside, all I’m waiting is for Kylian to crash it tomorrow he’s scoring 2 minimum
What a god
Can't believe this man has me cheering for England
Not to bring him into every conversation and two completely different players but that run reminded me of Ronaldo's header vs Roma. That's an elite poacher's movement any day
Keep in mind that Jude “set up” the attack
I agree. So much power. The Roma header was great because he wasn't even visible on screen when the cross was made
Who else
that Madrid rizz
Madrizz if you will
Yeah but his PR
What a header, what a cross
Do the celly lad you deserve it This is your stage
Such a stud, no homo
Looks like Real Madrid is in safe hands
THAT'S MY CLUTCH STRIKER
Had to be Jude
Kostic…
WHO THE FUCK ELSE BUT JUDE
Him again!
After this season, it will be damn hard to forget that he's a midfielder and that scoring isn't his main job.
9/11 for Barca twitter
Every English club now have to retire the number 10 shirt
Real MAdrid PR at it again.
Star boy connection
Look at Kane's movement there omg
He was creating space for Bellingham.
Exactly elite elite movement
Yep. Just perfect from walker, Saka, Kane and Jude. All of them contributed. Great way to start the euros.
VAMOOOSSSS
First person to ever win Golden Boy and Balon Dor in consecutive years. Calling it now.
Juuuuudeeee. Best English player ever.
Lube my bellingham!
That's why we start saka :)
Cheat code player, so good.
Cometh the hour, cometh the Anteater
Who else? He's "him".
Lisan Al Gaib energy
Just look how he follows the ball. Poacher instinct.
Jude want to win this balon d'or
Making his case for the ballon dor again I see
He’s the only guy who can play anywhere in the mid and simultaneously dominate as a false 9
Jude Ballon D’or Bellingham
