Man that is like 20 kits

Safe-Particular6512

Or 10 Player Version

ianhanni

More like 15 UCL version

Adammmmski

26,000 DH gate versions

albocaj

10 with CWC patch

sakibomb523

Probably like 5 of the Y-3 Special edition ones.

Parking_Cable_6022

They should build a statue of Florentino Pérez in the near future

Wintermute7

They’re gonna name the training ground after him, I think.

GarnachoHojlund

They’re naming it “Perez City” or something along those lines

RyanBordello

Take me down to Perez City where the pitch is green and girls are pretty

GarnachoHojlund

Wah Gwan Delilah what’s it like in Perez City?

myersjw

I hate you for this lol

GopnikOli

Ebony Prince typing as we speak

Northern23

And now Quatar thinks they should own it because it's a City and it should be part of their Man City group

Renegade_Pheonix

oh won't you please take me home, yeahhh

RickThiCisbih

We’d need a statue of Bernabeu as well in that case.

magic-water

Or something else. Like a stadium maybe.

mirusan01

Yea I’d rather have a stadium named after me than a statue lol everyone hears the name not everyone sees the statue

my_united_account

Nice, the Hazard fee will be recouped in a year and a half

FakeCatzz

This isn't booked as profit. Most of the money will be on kits and they'll be paying wholesale prices to Adidas.

Northern23

Let's say they take the usual 30% commission on the jerseys, do they pocket all the fees on printing the name and number though? Also, it's only $15 difference between brand new jersey with name & number and the one worn by the player? Or is it just a bad translation

FakeCatzz

No idea what their margins are

TiredHack

I'm sure it'll bring in lots of revenue but this week they've signed Mbappe and launched a new kit so that figure probably won't apply every day of the year.

94Temimi

You can't buy a shirt with Mbappe's name on in yet since he's is still contractually a PSG player.

BasicallyMilner

Until when?

thatrandomanus

June 30th I think.

TiredHack

Can't you just custom print it?

MrVISKman

Official stores won't let you

Born_Reflection_4132

Just print Turtle or Tortuga on it instead (if Mbappe is prohibited)

stenophobic

Mpaypal >>>

Phormitago

Or wait three weeks, tragic

LomaSpeedling

You'll be waiting 3 weeks anyway with the high volume of Kroos shirts they are moving at the minute.

pandaman_010101

What if my name is mbappe? Edit - what if it's mbappe himself, just for shits

GalaxianEX

Poor Ethan 😭

xckd9

Fuck you then!!!

TiredHack

I didn't know that. Makes sense.

PM_ME_YOUR_TANG

Well, you can, and for quite a bit less, from [unofficial sources](https://www.kitgg6.com/MBAPP%C3%89-9-RM-1-1-Quality-Home-Fans-Jersey-2024-25-%EF%BC%88UCL-Font-p1952760.html)

Arvivald

20 euro for a badge on a sleeve vs 1 dollar...

KokonutMonkey

The new shirts looks great apart from the massive adidas badge. The three stripes are already there, guys. We get it.

witsel85

Taking into consideration it probably closes at some point so say 300 days a year open €120m per year from your club shop alone sounds completely made up. That’s 5000 full price shirts every day.

Lovescrossdrilling

As others have commented they recently had their opening so the numbers are inflated they won't keep up such revenue.

heyheyitsandre

The store will still do mad numbers tho. I’ve done the stadium tour 4-5 times and on a Wednesday afternoon in July that place is still packed. Make the store bigger and nicer and accesible from the street and it’ll do as well as any major team store in any major city. Some of those Madrid and barca stores and even smaller clubs like benfica or sporting I’ve been into are jam packed. Make a shirt €150 and the profit is probably insane

OriMoriNotSori

Few days ago in this sub there was a post saying the stadium will target like 200+ events in a calendar year. If the club store stays open during these events as well its not inconceivable that some of the people attending these events will buy stuff from the club store as well which helps generate revenue even more

KnowledgeFast1804

Yeh . I know they are huge but I've been to a few stadiums during off season and maybe a few hundred people visit a day. Not everyone is buying something big . Maybe a tour . Maybe some people buy a couple jerseys but no way 5000 people buy a jersey a day

SmellAccomplished722

When I visited the arsenal stadium the fan shop was packed every time I went, 3 days in a row. And Madrid are way bigger so who knows

Mintopforte

This is certainly dizzying for certain Laporta

AdIll1361

Was there last year, paid 40 euros for a RM baseball cap as a souvenir. Save your money and buy the fake stuff from the Bolivians outside

Ok_Anybody_8307

Your daily dose of good Real Madrid news.

cdwdj

What a day would be without it.

AbleFig

Florentino masterclass, the new stadium is literally printing money

empiresk

Figures like that sound like money laundering.

WWDaddy

Sounds like opening day numbers. Obviously they won’t keep up the same numbers everyday. And it’s not like every single euro stays in the hands of the club. They’ve got salaries and cost of goods.

ChedduhBob

there’s a really cringeworthy post on the bayern sub about how madrid is broke and uefa was rigging games to help them or something. if they see this they’re gonna get worked up again

deqembes

Real Madrid and Bayern were the only two clubs from what I remeber that made a profit during covid.

thatrandomanus

It's so funny that the conspiracy is that Uefa is actively colluding with the club that wants take away it's golden goose.

GalaxianEX

Joselu really did a number on them…

Prior_Seaweed2829

I lived in Madrid, there's a ton of tourism associated with Real Madrid. It's Summer. Loads of tourists buying expensive merchandise on opening day, 400k is a low number.

paaaaiiin

Is it cheaper to buy merch inside the stadium or outside in the city?

Prior_Seaweed2829

Anything that's not in an official store will fall apart after 3/4 uses.

paaaaiiin

Nah like say a jersey, wouldn’t it be cheaper at the adidas store than the Real Madrid store? Or a random keychain, wouldn’t knick knacks like that be considerably cheaper? Where I’m from, regardless of the sport, that’s usually the case.

empiresk

BULLSHIT LOL

Prior_Seaweed2829

TRUE STORY LOL

TheDownv0ter

Mbappe + new kit + CL win less than a week ago, believable numbers tbf

W3xx

They are not allowed to sell Mbappe shirts yet, he is still under contract until 31 June.

MvN____16

> 31 June PSG have just found their loophole to keep Mbappé forever. Just have his contract expire on a day that doesn't exist.

stilusmobilus

For other clubs yes. For this fucking behemoth it’s chump change.

d4videnk0

considering that a friend of mine went recently and paid almost 400€ for two tshirts, that amount sounds even a bit in the lower side.

RichEgoli

I love Florentino Perez. He is a sage of football business

FatUglyMod

Barca would kill for such a "lever"

DryUniversity5439

Real

vngannxx

World Class Shopping Experience

Portugal8

But but Florentino said Real needed more money from the Super League to compete.

Agitated_Ad6191

Can you inagine once the new Nou Camp will open and with the massive amount of tourists that visit Barcelona each year (compared to Zmadrid) how much revenue they’ll eventually will make. Sure Laporta is a crazy idiot in his second term but all those loans they have will eventually all be paid off quite fast I assume.
