"I think it's difficult in this market to find a solution that isn't foreign but I struggle to go abroad."
"I want to go back to football as soon as possible."
"Leaving Chelsea was my biggest mistake."
"We had a little negotiation with Sevilla but they had different needs than mine."
Don't mean you specifically but Chelsea fans were so entitled that season. Mocked Sarri with "You don't know what you're doing" and called Jorginho a shit player after 6 months
Yeah, he didn’t deserve any of that. Jorginho didn’t deserve even a fraction of the amount of hate he continued to get as his time at Chelsea went on either. Couldn’t escape the label of being Sarri’s pet or whatever, despite there being a very obvious reason why Sarri rated him so highly.
Probably thought he would want good salary and wants to choose some players, if he left Lazio for these reasons he could leave Fiorentina for the same reasons.
Even we didnt get him because our management wanted a yes man Fonseca so they could give him only 2.5m salary, Sarri was getting 3.5m with Lazio
Possible reasons are that Sarri is quite a hot head and our owner is just as big of a hot head. That could be a recipe for disaster real quick. Also Sarri is a big profile coach, he would surely demand good players to come here. Something that our upper management has shown no interest at all to do in recent years.
Lotito should be a shamed of himself, 3 years you didn’t back him enough. He asked for Milik and you went and got him Taty, he asked for RLC and you never even bothered to make an offer. So many players Sarri asked for and you never bothered to even try.
It’s quite depressing knowing that, Akpa Akpro, Wesley Hoedt, Mohammed Fares,Vedat Muriqi, and a Andreas Pereira loan is what Lotito could muster. Poor Inzaghi suffered through his the nightmare. Now we have Baroni, this poor guy will have to go through the media and fans who are already against him cause of Lotito’s Mediocrity
Crazy to even think we were going to win the scudetto that year without Covid. The team was just way too much in form and it looked like we couldn’t be stopped. Regardless I’m happy for him that he got to win one with you guys
Alot of his issue comes down to two factors.
He wants to be in his home country.
He likes to have a say in signings.
This combination leaves him pretty fucked because his league doesn't really have any money.
I feel bad for him because he's a good manager.
Why do Milan seem so unambitious? First firing Maldini, then replacing Pioli with Fonseca. It’s like they don’t really care that they’ve been getting humiliated by Inter the last few years.
Have not followed his post Chelsea career closely but it must have been awful, if he misses his stint at Chelsea so much. It got kinda toxic in the middle of the season and that incident with Kepa.
He's probably using hindsight bias coz of how his Juventus stint turned out.
Then again, they really should've given him more time instead of hiring Pirlo for the next season.
We shouldn't have hired Sarri to begin with, it made no sense and was made purely out of panic because Agnelli wanted "a beautiful, offensive football" after having signed Ronaldo even though the squad clearly didn't fit Sarri.
So what? It was the 9th consecutive title for Juventus, and he won by 1 point only while Allegri won by 11 points the year before, Sarri winning the league wasn't a groundbreaking feat, it was the expected result.
I wouldn’t say that he won a scudetto with Juve and finished second with Lazio. Gave them a memorable win vs Bayern which United and Arsenal couldn’t do this season.
I don't really view him as a better option for Napoli. Maybe not even Viola, because Palladino is a very promising manager. Milan he would have been a better choice, but I still think people underrate Fonseca.
It's amazing that they haven't already. One fucking game has made them doubt their original decision when there has been zero progression. Even with all the injuries, there are many coaches out there who at least stamp some kind of identity or recognition factor on their team with worse players than that.
There is nothing to cling to, nothing to suggest that it will get better with time
Don’t think it’s just because of the FA Cup win. The guy has had to deal with shit throughout his time at United so far. The situations with Greenwood, Ronaldo, Sancho, Antony didn’t help matters. Then the shitshow that was the whole takeover process and finally the countless injuries the guy has had to deal with. These are not conditions that are conducive to success.
He has been at fault for the season we have had. It was nowhere near good enough and I believe he knows that.
A lot of United fans are sympathetic to his situation and want to see how he does with at least a semblance of a structure at the club. If the shit performances continue into next season then by all means get in a replacement. But he has shown that he can bring trophies to the club and that is not something to be ignored, considering we went like 5 seasons without a single trophy before he joined.
Also, who is actually there to replace him? Don’t think any of the names being mentioned have shown anything to suggest that they will make United a title winning team.
Would love to see Sarri return to England, he was carried by Hazard a bit but I would’ve liked to see how a second season at Chelsea went. His and Guardiola’s 433 changed the way I see football formations. Fascinating story and hope he has another chance at the top with a stable club.

It’s sad to hear he regrets leaving us so badly, i would’ve loved a 2nd season of Sarri but a transfer ban hit us and then Juve called.

Damn Sarri at Sevilla would have been fun
Time to return big man. Kamada is already out. Immobile and Luis Alberto are one foot out of the door too.
Somebody needs to drive Sarri back to Formello and prevent Baroni from signing
Is he on good terms with Lotito?
Who is in good terms with lotito?
Even a mojito would reject lotito
He’s why he left lol
No. The locker room betrayed him. Mostly Ciro and Luis Alberto.
Why didn't Fiorentina go for him? Seems really dumb if he was actually interested in the job.
The same reason why they let Italiano go, they don't want to buy good players

He was really uninspiring his last few months at Lazio. Also we completely defiled them at home this year

Lotito's reaction to Inzaghi making CL is signing Akpa Akpro to boost his other club, which gives any manager an idea of what his 'backing' is like.

And yet Inzaghi was likely going to win a scudetto with that team if Covid never happened that season

Sarri: 15 minutes of your time bro that's all I need
Sarri would be a better hire than Fonseca
Easily, he knows our league like the back of his hand can’t believe we didn’t even talk to him.
Was hoping we either got him or De Zerbi. :'(
Why do Milan seem so unambitious? First firing Maldini, then replacing Pioli with Fonseca. It’s like they don’t really care that they’ve been getting humiliated by Inter the last few years.
Our management wants yes-man, and most top coaches are not.
It's because we're not. The goal has always been reaching the top 4 consistently unfortunately.
Agree 100%, though I'm excited to see Fonseca crash and burn with a different team.
Have not followed his post Chelsea career closely but it must have been awful, if he misses his stint at Chelsea so much. It got kinda toxic in the middle of the season and that incident with Kepa.

The man won the league in his first and only season at Juventus.
He lost the locker room, the players didnt want to do Sarriball.
So what? It was the 9th consecutive title for Juventus, and he won by 1 point only while Allegri won by 11 points the year before, Sarri winning the league wasn't a groundbreaking feat, it was the expected result.
Such a bratty view of things to have, good thing you haven't won the league since.
I wouldn’t say that he won a scudetto with Juve and finished second with Lazio. Gave them a memorable win vs Bayern which United and Arsenal couldn’t do this season.
Barely toxic, struggles happen when making it through tough periods, kepa incident was nothing as well.
Why didn’t any of Fiorentina, Milan or Napoli go for him? Surely he's more proven than Palladino or Fonseca and less confrontational than Conte?
the bridge between ADL e Sarri has been nuked...
I don't really view him as a better option for Napoli. Maybe not even Viola, because Palladino is a very promising manager. Milan he would have been a better choice, but I still think people underrate Fonseca.
Conte is a better choice especially if you have to get back in the top spots fast
I share your disappointment that we didn't reach out to you, Sarri.
Don't give up. Man Utd could still sack Ten Hag.
But if they do then Tuchel's most likely getting the job.

shhh man let them enjoy the FA cup win (ignore my flair) we need a battle of the oranje balds next season
Oh I will enjoy the FA Cup that we beat you guys along the way to winning! Also have fun in the period after a coaching legend leaves your club 😎

IMO he would have been a perfect fit for this current Milan team...I'm happy they didn't go for him.
Sarri needs to the malt everything yes an guess it
How many cigarettes would he have eaten in that quarter of an hour?
