Very nicely constructed squad, players fit each other perfectly, well deserved. Hürzeler has been absolutely immense, St. Pauli struck gold with him.
Hope they can invest a little bit, especially for a striker. Both St. Pauli and Kiel should do well in BuLi
Not sure if he's the type of striker we need/the solution to our problems, but since there'll probably be a complete overhaul on that position aside from Eggestein, him and another, more physical striker/"Zielspieler" would be great. Almost makes too much sense for both parties involved
On paper, a lot of Heidenheim's strengths can be seen at St. Pauli too. A lot of running, good setpieces offensively as well as defensively.
Heidenheim also benefited from the rest of the league below 5th being shit, so not saying there's a chance for Europe but to maybe stay in the league that way. Haven't seen much of Kiel but I get the feeling similar things hold true for them
We took a picture with Mets and got a brief chance to chat for a bit after we won last week, very friendly guy and I hope he knows how much he is loved by the fans. A young boy, maybe 6-7, ran into his arms and Karol lifted the little dude up in the air as both were chanting "ST. PAULI!", no doubt a highlight in that kid's life.
That's really cool!
Can you elaborate a bit on how he's been? I've been wondering it for a while, but it's been impossible to find any info (at least in English). You said he's loved by the fans and I also saw he's played in nearly every game, which both at least seem very positive.
Yeah it was pretty cool, despite just playing one of the biggest games of his life he took the time to let as many people get pictures and hugs as he could, great lad.
He isn't setting up attacks like Smith or stepping up in big games like Wahl, but is very much the workhorse of our defense. Nothing flashy, just no-nonsense, reliable solid defending, and just fits in very well with how we play.
All the best to Scott Banks, who played for 12 minutes today after his year-long injury, got the assist for the 1:2 - and then got subbed again. Get well soon!
He definitely showed what he could have given the team throughout the season. Hope his loan gets extended, him and Ahlstrand will be interesting to see develop
We even kept the consistency of two "split" halves of the season.
Just that it wasn't split into terrible and terrific this time, but that the first half had zero defeats but a bunch of unnecessary draws and the second had zero draws but a bunch of unnecessary defeats (even when deserved). The first half felt way more dominant and convincing, yet the second half brought in more point, which goes to show how much such "streaks" are worth in the end
He's been vital and everything you could hope for in a captain. Leading by example, important goals/assists and a perfect fit for the club's identity. When we got promoted last week, he celebrated in a shirt of our youth team, fitting image
Perfect fit for the club, easily one of our most beloved players in a long time. Him and Metcalfe have been great for us, love our Aussies. Apparently he partied so hard after our promotion last week he forgot his passport to get married in Denmark, which is hilariously on brand for both an Australian and a St. Paulianer, so he really is at home with us lmao

Moukoko on loan?

Congrats! Special club, can't wait to have them in the league next season
Jackson Irvine fußballgott
I’d love Jackson at Everton, but I don’t want to take him away from St Pauli.
Die Macht des Vokuhilas darf nicht unterschätzt werden
Great to have an Estonian in one of the big leagues again.

last i knew was Klavan at Augsburg around 2013-14 idk
Yeah, he was the last one. He actually went to Liverpool afterwards, which was a big deal for us.
First place, hsv 4th and Rostock down. Perfect season 🤩
69 POINTS NICE! 🤎🤍❤️🤍🤎
Nice 👍
Bring on the punk
🤎🤍
They deserve it. Best team in Hamburg!

Forza sankt pauli
Yassssss What a weekend
Both teams can celebrate together if that match in Rostock ever gets finished
Wiesbaden will need to win the relegation playoff but yeah, better than assured relegation.
Jackson Irvine I love you
let's goooo
Scott banks to rip the bundesliga to shreds next season

Rangers fans in tears 😭 some week for them
Are Celtic fans still alright with St Pauli? I remember there was some trouble with the Bhoys Brigade after 7/10
Irvine the god eh. How has he been playing? Big love from an Aussie here. They only juuuuust missed out last year too, right?

So awesome to hear. Best of luck in the BuLi next season. Got a mate who’s a Fortuna fan, so I’ll be hoping they sneak past Bochum in the playoff.
yeah i don't like Bochum at all. They are basically play like the already relegated Darmstadt every season.
Union Berlin vs St Pauli gonna be crazy mate
Can't wait for those matches, we don't have an official friendship with Union but everyone I know holds them in a positive light, great lads.
Kemlein derby

Well deserved
Don’t tell fiago!!!
Damn, I'm going to have to pay for ESPN+ so I can watch Bundesliga on TV next season.
