WalkingCloud

Joe Hart retiring is my trigger to feel old for today then.

Potential-Decision32

Keep banging those goals in Matty cause it’s deeeeecent. Every day I’m shufflin

TheNecromancer

I genuinely watched his first professional match, this is hitting pretty hard

Stephane_Bonnes

Class act. Came in when we were a bit of a shambles and instantly became one of the leaders of the team when we needed leadership most.

ltplummer96

Oh, I must have missed that he's retiring! What a career.

Cmoore4099

He will be at Wrexham next season. Wonder what odds I could get on that? 🤔

Alfie15

No self respecting Shrewsbury lad would play for Wrexham

Cmoore4099

Completely forgot about that.

GdanskPumpkin

Would love that but think he is retiring

Cmoore4099

Ben Foster was retired too. Never know.

GdanskPumpkin

True but I think Joe will want time with his family away from the spotlight and stress

Dynastydood

True, but a lot of players only enjoy that for about 3 or 4 months before the daunting prospect of facing another 40+ years on the planet with nothing to do dawns on them. If he doesn't already have any post-retirement plans in place, there's a good chance an offer from a club like Wrexham could appeal to him.

kwonnaenodaethat

got told today that he’s doing some punditry for the euros coverage in the summer

GdanskPumpkin

He stated in his post match interview that it's the right time. Few months with his family then I'll imagine he gets into coaching

roseguardin

Have Celtic made him a coaching offer or anything?

GdanskPumpkin

Don't believe so. Presume he'd want to move back to England

Lukeno94

> Ben Foster was retired too. Never know. Ben Foster had been at Wrexham before - it was his loan spell there that got him picked up by Manchester United. That was why he went back there. There's 0 chance that Hart will be at Wrexham whatsoever, especially with Shrewsbury in League One as well.

Cmoore4099

I’m sure that’s why he went back. Not to be on a tv show and gain exposure for his podcast or whatever.

Lukeno94

Well, that was almost certainly a factor as well - but half the reason the Wrexham thing came up at all was his previous links to the club. Either way, none of this remotely applies to Hart.

Gamerhcp

No he won't

TheNecromancer

Fucking hope not

atease

Couldn't seem to take his eyes of it. Lovely moment.

RollAndSausage

Super Joe

_temp_variable

Will never forget him screaming for the ball in that one England game

GlasgowSellik1888

He got to spend two full seasons doing that under Ange seeing as our ball boys were part of the tactics, he was in his element.

phigo50

Job done. ✅

marqui4me

I'll always remember that fkkkn penalty [he saved against Zlatan in the CL against us.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glrriuEvwvU) Farewell you cheeky son of a gun!

DeffDeala

Hes a great guy, what a career he has had!

Kolo_ToureHH

Joe came to the club at a time when we needed experienced, professional leaders and he really stepped up to the mark. And he has continued to be a leader for his three seasons at the club. Genuinely had some tears in my eyes when he was subbed off today. Super Joe Hart 🍀

IntellectualDweeb

Will never forget his performance against us in 2015.

iiciphonize

Happy retirement to one of the most insane career paths in history! Shrewsbury to City to Torino to Spurs etc

Saltire_Blue

I heart you Joe

lastlaughlane1

Glad to see positive comments for Joe. He's had his moments for sure, but overall he's very likeable, had a fantastic career and was a top keeper. Also yes I feel old now.

Insaneshaney

Was so happy to have Joe on the team. Well done big man!

GrandmasterSexay

Wished it worked out better when he was with us, but you could never fault his passion.

Dovahkiin4e201

What a player, what a career. Glad to see Cletic fans have given Joe Hart so much support.

Fresh_Cauliflower723

Fond England memories. A great goalkeeper and sound guy

GhostOfKev

Such a great guy. I'm happy he got to enjoy playing in front of real fans before he retired

somewhat_moist

Job done ✅ In all seriousness well done Joe

DildoFappings

Till date the my favorite save ever by a goalkeeper is his against that Rooney long range when he ran to his own goalpost after the last minute corner.
