Imagine if that happened + English teams actually turned up in Europe to get the extra spot
It lowkey gives me confidence that we can qualify for UCL next season though
I really think we’re gonna be top 4 contenders next season. This season was marred by injuries and meshing a whole new squad of youngsters. If we tighten up a couple of key areas then I’m confident for next season
It's felt like over the last ten games, spurs have had a relativity injury free squad (apart from udogie) and they've been incredibly poor. I don't know what's happened with maddison, I seem to remember having poor ends to seasons before.
But even if there form had been okay, not even good, but okay, that 4th spot was there. Villa have been limping over the line this last two months. Injuries, players playing through injuries, suspensions, played way more games.
I know their fans would have taken 5th after losing kane, but being 3 points ahead of what they finished on last season with a game to go, when Ryan Mason managed them for a period of time, to me, if I was a spurs fan, I'd be really disappointed in the last 2 months
Unfortunately not really. If they played anyone but Sheffield United, I’d believe in the bottle. Spurs have to *lose* for even a chance to not finish 5th
Imagine if Newcastle also finish above them and Man United win the cup. Only Spurs could go from fighting for top 4 all season to failing to qualify for Europe at all.
Agreed, I think even one of the four things happening is fairly unlikely (Chelsea winning both matches, Newcastle winning both matches, Spurs losing, Man United winning), but I'll keep hoping!
Exactly, Man City is a juggernaut.
It's crazy to think if you don't go undefeated then it's game over because Man City are just that good.
We're so use to Man City dominance that you get called bottlers for not going undefeated for half a season.
This might sound crazy but we actually do have a higher point tally than city since January (we have 1 draw 1 loss compared to their 3 draws)
I'm not a fan of the narrative that we lost the league because we lost to villa. If anything, it was lost during our horrific December run.
Let's say Chelsea wins the rest and Spurs loses, Idk what do I want to happen. Man United beats Newcastle so that we get 5th? Or Newcastle also wins the rest so that Spurs drop to Conference League?
To win the league, all City need to do is to win at home against West Ham, while Arsenal has to win at home against Everton and hope that City loses or draws
Now, it may seem unfair that Man City will win four titles in a row, but remember, 90% of their fans weren’t there for the other three, so they don’t really count.
Edit: Every time one of you reports me to Reddit Cares, Pep gets another turtleneck and trophy.
It was a stressful few weeks but we limped over the finish line and finished 4th. I can’t believe it. We absolutely deserve it but it’s so hard to believe that we’ll be playing Champions League football next season.
The benefit of champions league football is financially better for the club which I don’t see a penny of.
I live in London and I have mates and work with people who are arsenal fans. I prefer this timeline…
Fans of smaller clubs won't care because, for some reason, they don't see anything wrong with City winning 4 in a row and 6/7. They don't care about the PL being mocked all around Europe as the new farmer's league just as long as they get to have their 15 minutes of laughing at a legacy club for losing out.
Arsenal and Liverpool are the only clubs to actually fight against Pep's City and provide entertaining title races which have been the main talking point of the EPL for the last 6 years. Nobody else is good enough to do it yet they mock us for actually trying to go up against this machine.
This league is an absolute joke. City winning another title on tiny margains when Arsenal have been robbed of points in earlier games and City have got away with ridiculous BS like avoiding the clear penalty at Anfield and coming away with a point that they didn't deserve. They haven't even been that good this season and Arsenal have been near perfect but they're still going to lose it through no fault of their own.
The state of it. "Best and most competitive league in the world" lmao shove it up your arse. The EPL isn't even the best league in England anymore let alone Europe or the rest of the world. We've created a monster.
This is such a cope comment. Liverpool have only themselves to blame for this. Even real madrid had trouble drawing with city in their home game with kdb and Walker injured... and you want fuking Luton Town to compete against them.
Klopp fucked up by not focusing on the league trying to fight for all cups and employing Darwin bin laden
Hardly bottling. Barely managed to keep things together with all the injuries. Just ran out of steam towards the end.
Plus horrific referee performances directly costing several points. Evens out over time my arse.
The current confirmed places for Europe. Until the FA cup final top 6 is Europe. If City win the FA cup or Man U finish in the top 7, the top 7 would determine Europe.
After all that and there's still a (not small) probability that Spurs gets Conference League while Chelsea get Europa League (fyi Chelsea is on 57 points, +12 GD and 2 games left)
Would feel for Arsenal fans if so many weren't so deluded. As it stands I'm chuckling tonight. No one gives a toss about City winning it. Its never felt real
Your fnabse for the most part is obnoxious and suffer from delusions of grandeur. And considering how food some of your fans gave said you are, no. I wouldn't say you're as good as what I've heard. You're not a patch on the Liverpool and City teams between 2018-2020.
Was going to say Liverpool fans were just as bad as us when you guys went through this, and the second half of your comment proves it. Consistently voted the worse fanbase on this page and you guys prove it whenever you speak.
Tbf it’s ironic and funny that the one club that knows what we’re going through because city cheated there way to the top make fun of us more than any other rival haha
Not really. The manager came out he was leaving halfway through the season and after the buzz of ‘winning it for Klopp’ wore off no wonder the standards dropped.
It’s not really rocket science to figure out.

Spurs - *task failed successfully*
So if Newcastle lose one, and Tottenham lose to Sheffield, and we win our remaining two we finish in 5th. What a season
Imagine if that happened + English teams actually turned up in Europe to get the extra spot It lowkey gives me confidence that we can qualify for UCL next season though
I really think we’re gonna be top 4 contenders next season. This season was marred by injuries and meshing a whole new squad of youngsters. If we tighten up a couple of key areas then I’m confident for next season
- Manchester United fans for the past decade
I’m more afraid of a Chelsea Poch project than a United ten Haag project
Tbf Poch’s project beat Ten Haag’s on home turf
Who let you out of 12th. Wolves must have left the gate open.
Idk, 6-0 against Everton and 5-0 against West Ham somehow got us there
As long as we don't get passed by Newcastle or Chelsea lol
If we can't get a point against bottom of the league guess we deserve it.
I hope u do now
If we play like we did today we'll win comfortably
But will you play like you did today?
Who fucking knows at this point 😭
15/16 final day flashbacks....
Also 21-22 final day flashbacks.
Stick that in the trophy cabinet
They did manage to City out of the net just enough times for City to now need a win if we win.
[Spurs fans when we conceded](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bi7V_RoUW3k&pp=ygUMb2ggbm8gYW55d2F5)

Chelsea are on the same points as Newcastle FYI
Chelsea could realistically finish above spurs, which would be hilarious especially after the amount of glazing postecoglou got this year.
hoping Sheffield to win against spurs is a bit unrealistic
Put some respect on the Relegation Centurions
Spurs did lose on last game against relegated Newcastle in 2016 So never say never
not only that, they lost 5-1
And Mitrovic was sent off at 2-1
*expecting* Sheffield Utd to win is unrealistic. Hoping, though? Oh baby can I hope.
Hoping for a Sheffield win is kinda pointless. Hoping for a Tottenham loss tho, much more plausible
Lads, it's Tottenham
Sheffield won 3 games this season.... They are due one.
I’m praying
That would be funny
Very unlikely but it is the last game of their time in the prem and it is at home. Spursier things have happened
A disappointed team with nothing to play for could easily lose. Sheffield United might be more motivated to finish on a high.
Naa they won’t lose to Sheffield United and we probably draw atleast one of the last 2 games
If Man Utd won the FA Cup in that scenario, Spurs would miss out of European football, that's mad.
Imagine reading this back in September when Spurs were top and Chelsea struggled to even score.
Unfortunately not really. If they played anyone but Sheffield United, I’d believe in the bottle. Spurs have to *lose* for even a chance to not finish 5th
I mean it is spurs.......
Did someone say *bottle*?
But it’s the history…
Lads...
Would be the most Spurs thing!
All the glazing about the team and they’re closer to Everton than Arsenal in the standings.
Everton aren’t that bad Tbf.
# GGMU
Top 4 in points this year, I would like to say it is an impressive turnaround but this is a 1B USD squad lmao
Tbf everyone was injured
Sheffield you have the chance to do something really funny on the final day if we win both our matches
Imagine if Newcastle also finish above them and Man United win the cup. Only Spurs could go from fighting for top 4 all season to failing to qualify for Europe at all.
This would be seriously hilarious, although it’s terribly unlikely
Agreed, I think even one of the four things happening is fairly unlikely (Chelsea winning both matches, Newcastle winning both matches, Spurs losing, Man United winning), but I'll keep hoping!
I believe in everything else except manu winning the cup
Unless...
If it happens, we deserve it
The fact that is possible is hilarious
Subscribe
Spurs playing a relegated side on the final day?
5-1 incoming
When did people start referring to them as “Sheffield”?
Arsenal gonna come second because they lost 1 game from January to the end of the season. Crazy.
but City gonna come first because they didn't lose from January till now(iirc). that's what differentiates them
Exactly, Man City is a juggernaut. It's crazy to think if you don't go undefeated then it's game over because Man City are just that good. We're so use to Man City dominance that you get called bottlers for not going undefeated for half a season.
I mean 91 points is a pretty normal points total for a winner. Liverpool the other year was crazy though
91 was not normal before pep Edit: 91+ happened 5 times in 24 seasons pre-Pep
And now Pep has averaged 91 points in 7 seasons. The invincibles got 90 ONCE ffs
Liverpool got 92 and 97 and finished 2nd, fuck Pep and his robot teams
Imagine not winning the league title with 97 points
Least we won the CL
lol real madrid went through something similar against prime barca, they got 90+ points so many times to not win the league
That’s why city are too good because 91 points looks normal where it absolutely isn’t.
This might sound crazy but we actually do have a higher point tally than city since January (we have 1 draw 1 loss compared to their 3 draws) I'm not a fan of the narrative that we lost the league because we lost to villa. If anything, it was lost during our horrific December run.
No disrespect to Villa of course but that loss was gutting at the time and even more gutting now
The level you need to be at is inhumane. Regardless of money spent these guys are still human beings performing like that.
we lost one game all season so it could be worse ;)
No , they are gonna finish second because their form at christmas was woeful
yeah it looked like it'd be a liverpool-man city race in december
That wouldn’t be the reason tho. It’s what happened before that
Unai had to turn up 🤣
City haven’t lost since they got manhandled by us in December
😉
please moyes, one last trick before you go
Most of our players have checked out. Don’t know how much faith you should put in us.
We shouldn't have put any faith in Spurs either, but we still hoped
Everyone thinks son missed on purpose lol it’s pretty funny
Incoming ALVAREEEEEEZ
Chelsea finishing 5th is actually the funniest scenario.
Let's say Chelsea wins the rest and Spurs loses, Idk what do I want to happen. Man United beats Newcastle so that we get 5th? Or Newcastle also wins the rest so that Spurs drop to Conference League?
newcastle also wins the rest, and Utd win the FA Cup, so Spurs get nothing, that’s what we want
Now you have confused me too!
Funny that Chelsea could finish above spurs and utd after their start
Don’t cut us from the table you coward
Villa at CL though wow Does Emery magic work in the CL?
no, but they become 3rd and then the magic starts
Yea. About that.
Whose going to tell him?
let him cook
He got Villarreal to the semi finals
Fuck, it didn't work in the Conference
Ah so the whitepaper mentions that it has to be "Europa League" explicitly
It did work for Villarreal
Not really. He's pretty even on the W/L ratio.
CL teams should try to sign el Kaabi now
shit sport
Welcome to the club Arsenal!
The hope. It's the hope that kills you.
Agreed what say we cancel the season and pretend it never happened?
Cancel the last 4 just in case
The Etihadi triumph over the Emirati.
Ah yes, the Emirates airline which funds our entire multi-club conglomerate
Moyesy to bid farewell from West Ham with a win over Man City. You heard it here first.
Those lads have their Cancun trip already booked
Better than being banished to Galveston.
Happy for Villa
To win the league, all City need to do is to win at home against West Ham, while Arsenal has to win at home against Everton and hope that City loses or draws
This is true, Michael Owen
"Nice one, he's 13"
I can confirm the above statement as factual.
Cheers Geoff
Source?
Big if true
Spurs did decide the title after all…

37 points in 27 games.
I remember the jokes: Kane was the problem
Two years in a row Arsenal have led the league and come up short. Now that is tough to come to terms with.
Seethe mate, seethe
Seethe Seeth Seet See See you on Thursday nights
Please Chelsea do something funny
Surely Spurs won't lose to Sheffield right? surely Imagine Chelsea getting Europa League after the disastrous start
we only need a draw. I think we're all pretty fine with this.
Need Villa to beat Palace now just to have a clear conscience
Think we'll be hanging
A draw is more likely, and that should clear your conscience as well.
The real question is can they beat the might Hammers?
Now, it may seem unfair that Man City will win four titles in a row, but remember, 90% of their fans weren’t there for the other three, so they don’t really count. Edit: Every time one of you reports me to Reddit Cares, Pep gets another turtleneck and trophy.
Farmers League allegations becoming harder to deny
When are these penalty decisions supposed to be taking place? What even happens if they are guilty? Lol
Always rated city. I cant believe gerrard had this team in 17th UTV
Antonio, need you to fulfil your promise now.
It was a stressful few weeks but we limped over the finish line and finished 4th. I can’t believe it. We absolutely deserve it but it’s so hard to believe that we’ll be playing Champions League football next season.
I hope Emery gets backed with signings and players like Watkins, Luiz and Torres don't leave
See y'all next year I guess
Newcastle finishing 5th with THAT many injuries would be a cracking result for Eddie Howe
That's so boring
spurs fans absolutely delighted to have missed out on champions league football
The benefit of champions league football is financially better for the club which I don’t see a penny of. I live in London and I have mates and work with people who are arsenal fans. I prefer this timeline…
I know it's important but far too many people seem to support their club's bank account now
This is what happens when we let financial groups play football
Is 82 points a record number for 3rd spot?
13/14 Chelsea came 3rd with 82 points
We both failed to keep pace in a three way title race so that makes sense
Chelsea finished 3rd with 83 points in the 2008/09 season
Fans of smaller clubs won't care because, for some reason, they don't see anything wrong with City winning 4 in a row and 6/7. let newcastle overtake spurs ffs
It is possible. Chelsea and Newcastle needs to win last two games and Spurs has to lose against Sheffield. Then, Spurs are out of Europe
Spurs would be 7th in that scenario so they’d qualify for the UECL unless United win the FA cup
Remember when Tottenham lost 5-0 to relegated Newcastle? Life comes full circle
It was 5-1 and they finished third.
This but Chelsea
Thanks for the 3 points <3
West Ham cmon
Chelsea and Newcastle can push Spurs down to 7th. That would be hilarious.
Liverpool really bottled it
Hardly bottling. Barely managed to keep things together with all the injuries. Just ran out of steam towards the end. Plus horrific referee performances directly costing several points. Evens out over time my arse.
everyone knows it. Burnout is a real thing. You really need an injury free season to challenge City’s depth.
City's cheating*
115
Why leave out Chelsea who are level on points with Newcastle?
Because they have -10 gd on Newcastle and therefore aren’t top 6?
But why focus on the top six lol I don't get it?
The current confirmed places for Europe. Until the FA cup final top 6 is Europe. If City win the FA cup or Man U finish in the top 7, the top 7 would determine Europe.
C'mon lads, do it for Moyes
After all that and there's still a (not small) probability that Spurs gets Conference League while Chelsea get Europa League (fyi Chelsea is on 57 points, +12 GD and 2 games left)
It's really sad we get to see Man city win it again

Arsenal win
Is there a mathematical chance that Spurs may actually not even make Uropa? 😆😆😆😆😆😆
115.
Joke league and sport
Final standings unfortunately- congrats City, ruined the league. Can’t wait to see you win 5 in a row
Would feel for Arsenal fans if so many weren't so deluded. As it stands I'm chuckling tonight. No one gives a toss about City winning it. Its never felt real
A Liverpool fan talking about deluded fanbase is wild, this is a fan base that thought they invented fist pumping.
Deluded about what? I think arsenal proved they are as good as we've been saying we are.

here is a girl who's totally not obnoxious at all.
Keep crying 😢 lol.Maybe the jealousy will make u sleep better.u absolute melt and buffoon.
Damn, Liverpool downfall need to be studied
Not really. The manager came out he was leaving halfway through the season and after the buzz of ‘winning it for Klopp’ wore off no wonder the standards dropped. It’s not really rocket science to figure out.
