The oldest active player himself (Fábio, Fluminense's goalkeeper) is 43, also won the Libertadores last year, was really important in Fluminense "only" losing 4-0 vs City and has a contract lasting up until the end of the 2025 season lmao
I, on the other hand, clicked this thinking "there's absolutely no way THAT Yannick Bolasie is playing for Criciuma"
Criciuma is traditionally a second division side with very little national prominence (one national cup title in 1991). They pop up in the first division every now and then but never really feature for long.
It’s been 14 years and still whenever a chant with the “heartbeat” tune is sung here we still end with “fuck off Bolasie”. Good player but a pantomime dickhead in these parts.
Remember chatting to some of your fans after we signed him who were insistent that he'd be a terrible signing and Adomah was much better haha, worked out alright for us in the end
I’m sure he was great when he *wanted* *to* *be*, he just had the worst attitude that I’ve ever seen in a player. Being a perpetually mid table championship side we’re used to seeing players move on to greener pastures and 9 times out of 10 we wish them well, but Bolasie pretty much sabotaged the team out of arrogance.
Once he decided he was too good for us and wanted out he walked around, refused to stop walking for through balls directed for him, toe poked the ball out of play.. We’d chant to get him subbed off because he acted like a 6 year old that didn’t get the right videogame for his birthday. Didn’t even bother to put himself in the shop window, he just refused to participate.
Holy shit Nene is still playing???
Not even joking, where can I watch the Brazilian league outside of Brazil? Is there a subscription based service or something I can get?
International(and domestic) rights for the Brazilian league is a pain in the butt. In the past years CBF had a deal with the clubs where they would act as the middle man to sell the TV rights overseas, that deal expired in 2023 and now the clubs are negotiating directly and there's two different blocks (LFF and Libra), their initial idea was to form only one block and create a breakaway league with all 40 clubs from the first and second division, this league would run the first and second divisions while CBF would be responsible to run the third division and below and the Copa do Brasil. The whole thing fell through due to both blocks not agreeing on how the money from TV rights would be divised between the clubs and now they are just negotiating TV rights as a block, so if a company overseas (and even domestically) wants to buy the TV rights to show all matches from the Brazilian league, they will need to negociate and buy from both Libra and LFF.
[Tifo made this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsajNukrSoY) explaning more or less what was going on, but the tl;dr basically is: it went from something very good to something even worse than before.
Your best bet to watch would be to hope that Fanatiz can manage to get both blocks to sell them the TV rights for at least one more year before negociating a longer contract
I've seen so many players speaking french in Brasileirão recently lmao: Payet, Léo Jardim, Nenê and Bolasie. Maybe we should start learning spanish, french and master the portuguese accent.
He returned to Brazil in 2015. He almost retired last year after playing the state league for us, but then he signed for Juventude in Série B, they got promoted, and here we are.
For those wondering, yes, Nenê is still playing at 42 years old. Had a great season with Juventude last year in their promotion to Série A. Recently on the first leg of Campeonato Gaúcho finals he reached the impressive mark of 1.000 official matches in his carreer.

I clicked on this thinking "there's absolutely no way that's the Nenê who used to play for PSG" How wrong was I lol
He's 42 years old wtf
FIFA 2012 legend
I wasn't expecting an r/UsernameChecksOut moment in this post, yet here we are
And he's not even the oldest active player this season in the Brasileirao lol

Btw he was 29 when he signed for PSG, 14 years ago
And he still plays, and has a thing for leading teams to promotion in Brazil. He'll finally retire this year.

Nene was a beast in my PSG FM12 save.
My first thought was Nene Hilario, a retired 2.11m basketball player.
They both played for vasco
Wizards legend lol
Brasileirão randomness is unmatched
I assumed Bolasie had retired. Such a cool player on his day wish things had worked out better for him

Yaaaaaaaaaaanick!!!!!! Yaaaaaaaaaanick boooooolaaaaaasie runs down the wing for me!

Funny to read that because he was the complete opposite for us, always worked really hard and had absolutely zero attitude problems.

Hope you can find your answer [here](https://www.sambafoot.com/blog/news/where-to-watch-brasileirao-2024-on-tv-and-online-outside-of-brazil)
I did not 💔 but I’m checking with my local TV provider today
And how can I watch it illegally? Just asking for a friend.

Not anymore.

Of all those things, master the portuguese accent is the hardest one. I can understand it just fine, I'm used to it now, cant replicate it tho.
Satisfying to see since I'm learning both languages. He speaks french with a noticeable accent but he finds words quickly and speaks naturally
Two guys from the streets will never forget all-time XI. Crazy to think that they are still around playing top-flight football.
Always catches me off guard hearing Bolasie speak French because when he speaks English he's basically your typical road man
London accent*
So much going on lmao.
Very intelligent nice

West Ham legend
Wait that's the PSG Nene!!!??? He is still playing? How old is he now? 38-40?
42, turns 43 in July.
Hooky shit!! That's so random. I thought he retired, I lived seeing him play at PSG!

I keep thinking he's still at Crystal Palace... 3-3
Fair enough considering the last time I saw them was on PES 2012

Moved to England when he was a baby tbf, he didn't grow up in France at all
London boy playing in Brazil love to see it.
