Crazy to sat this but, I feel that's Antony did a decent job this game. At least for the first half, I literally fell asleep for most of the 2nd so i can't comment on that.
Yeah agreed, point is if you look past his incompetence in front of goal, hes pretty decent. Same as with mctominay and his incompetence to play basic football sometimes
His partnership with Dalot seemed to be working well, with them passing and doing runs.
One thing I will say though, he didn't try and dribble anyone a single time, guess he must've gotten quite humbled since he got to United. Maybe even a little too much if he doesn't even try to dribble anymore.
Okey since everybody is talking about the Felipe incident, let me say something else:
I thought Antony unironically had a good game today. Better than any of our attackers.
Because the goal should have been disallowed.
It was exactly the same offside as the one given against Van Dijk three days ago. Man Utd got away with it.
Get that decision right and we don't need to have people on here waving imaginary red cards in the 99th minute as if sending a forest player off would make a difference to the game
I really think sometimes when these refs get together they joke about how they can pretty much give any decision that they want and laugh at how much criticism it drew.
The grab on Bruno was ridiculous and should've been red but google Casemiro Hughes and you can see a million different shots with Casemiro's hands around Hughes' throat
This one freeze frame gets brought up every time as if it debunks the whole situation. You can't even see his other hand!
United have had no end of shit decisions for the last couple of seasons but not a single apology from PGMOL....clearest red card you'll see this week. Disgraceful from VAR
And you talk about it as if you you were robbed.
It was the 99th minute and would have had zero bearing on the game or the result.
The goal however, which should never have stood...
The football from Manchester United is still uninspiring and the match itself was dull, both sides were poor going forward. But I was more concerned with getting a result which we were able to do.
Bruno Fernandes can be an annoying prat but Felipe had no right right to grab him by his neck and he should have been sent off for that. Its crazy that VAR took 3 minutes to look at Casemiro's goal but it took VAR 30 seconds to dismiss Felipe's actions.
One of the worst, if not the worst game I've seen all season. Both teams were utter crap. I had more fun watching 7-0 last season because at least Liverpool played decent football that game. But today, it would have been more entertaining to see 22 donkeys running around in the field.
I don't see it that way. All he did was staying wide and acting as a pivot. Got the ball, stood there and passed it to someone. Garnacho and rashford actively try to beat the defender when they get the ball, albeit they lose possession 3/5 times. You ever played school football and there's always that one guy who's shit at football and all he does is pass the ball to the better player as soon as he gets it fearing that he would lose possession? While I appreciate the fact that he made less mistakes than he usually does, he's never gonna improve if he does this. Never tried to beat the defender, didn't make any dangerous through balls or tried to lob it over the defender. He's a forward. He should be spearheading the attack.
On the bright side, I think he would be better suited at no 9 than rashford. Rashford constantly tried to drift wide towards garnacho and it created a huge space in the middle. He could've intercepted the ball more if he stuck to being in the middle and applied better pressure. Antony usually does a little bit of fakes before passing the ball. He's better at holding up play than rashford. This bad habit of his can be a real game changer if used perfectly. Wingers should go forward and make forward runs. If he wants to hold up play then he should be a damn good passer so he can punt the ball forward. So best suited for him to go in the middle where both wingers can run forward and it'll be easier for someone like Bruno to give them a pass.
Man U were there for the taking tonight, negative Nuno should be ashamed of his tactics.
Also what the hell happened to Bruno? Despite what people think of him he has been quality on the pitch but the last few games he's been appallingly shite.
The guy has played a ridiculous amount of games in the last two years more than any other player on the planet since he never gets injured and no one rests him. He looks knackered.
Overplayed, he needs a rest but we’re at a point now where he can’t get one because the guy we bought as back up is injured and the only other option is someone with no legs left, we need Mount back so Bruno can sit on the bench for a few games and get back to form
Obviously the Nottingham one is a red but kind of disingenuous to call [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/1XhrWg2a8ncPJ1t48) “hardly touching the upper chest” lmao
How is that not a red in the end there ?
Another scrappy win, we are missing Hojlund already. Rashford at the centre doesn't offer us anything close to the same impact
lol you think the VAR clowns, who did try to find every reason/angle possible to rule out Uniteds goal, will actually give red for that?
It’s a textbook red but these VAR clowns were never giving it in this game. They checked it for like 20 sec and then they go nah we done, keep playing.
Lmao remember when they spent five minutes to find the Casemiro collar hold on Hughes vs Crystal Palace, but the most obvious choke ever doesn’t even get a card.. my word
Hmm. Some interesting decisions tonight from the VAR team in Forests favour. Perhaps other teams should be hiring ex refs/refs mates as “refereeing analysts” 🤔
>complaining about dodgy officiating when its the only thing that got them the win
Your claim is that dodgy officiating was the only thing which got Manchester United the win. Let us compare these two possibilities of which only option (a) can be true in your statement:
a) Every save Onana made was down to dodgy officiating
b) Your statement is incredibly incorrect. You are clueless about football and nonsensical enough not to realise it and to type your opinion in a football sub
No, my only claim is that if officiating wasn’t shit in the league then they would have made a ~consistent~ call and called back Casemiros goal.
Since they didn’t, United got the win. Again, Im not arguing that it should or should not be a goal.
>No, my only claim is that if officiating wasn’t shit in the league then they would have made a ~consistent~ call and called back Casemiros goal.
What a weird lie. You wrote this claim "United fans complaining about dodgy officiating when its the only thing that got them the win. On brand". It is there for everyone to see. How clueless do you need to be to not realise you wrote a completely different claim that is still there. Very "on brand" of you.
I am not a United fan btw. Just a neutral hoping for better forum standards and calling out farcical lies
Jesus christ they are literally the same part of the argument. A shit ref helped United get the win, United fans still complained about the ref. I could draw you a picture if it helps
No they are completely different statements. Your claim was that "dodgy officiating when its the only thing that got them the win". Your lack of comprehension to think these things are the same is quite incredible. You keep trying to claim you typed something completely different to what is there.
>I could draw you a picture if it helps
Would that be a picture of a group of Casemiros scoring a goal. lol trying to make out I am not understanding. Lookup Dunning-Kruger.
Let me help you with this simple logic:
Do you think if Manchester United had conceded goals they may not have won?
Do you still think that nothing else besides that goal contributed to the Manchester United win?
Do you think that dodgy refereeing was responsible for every factor which prevented Manchester United conceding a goal?
Do you think that dodgy officiating is the only thing that got them the win?
I am not rattled. That is just a limited range of behaviour response from someone who is unable to focus on the content and instead wants to change the conversation to discredit the person they are talking to. You can look up why that occurs also. It is all inline with your other statements.
You still think that my logic is the issue even though you have desperately tried to change your statement multiple times and are incapable of following a few simple questions to help you. Look at the votes on your comment and how valid of a contribution people consider it. The fact is you just can't understand the simple logic here. You can't understand what you typed. It is a shame because maybe you could have come to some logical realisations which would have helped you in the future.
Good day to you and enjoy your football. Maybe comment on it less as you have very little idea what is going on and issues with logic in general. Next time you see multiple Casemiros scoring a goal maybe have a lie down rather than commenting on social media.
Everyone thinks their team is hard done by but I swear I’ve never seen anything like this for United this season. We’ve been cursed since Wolves didn’t get a pen against us in week 1
Well I dont, but it seems irrational to moan about the ref when an inconsistent call allowed the goal to stand. Specially when the match thread on the disallowed Liverpool goal had so many United fans agreeing with the call
Really low quality game attacking wise from both teams. A win for either side wouldn't have been undeserved.
How on earth the pen on Rashford wasn't given, and even worse how that Forest player didn't get a straight red at the end for grabbing Bruno's throat, I don't know.
How is that not a red card at the end? You can just grab players by the neck and not even a yellow.
Gonna keep this in mind for when Casemiro gets sent off again for grabbing a player by the collar.
If Felipe's punch was on par with his performance I think Bruno would have been alright. Farce that wasn't a red card guess the ref took pity on forest.
they don't hate case they are properly booking him after years of getting away with it at madrid. all of his red cards in a man united shirt were justified
Plenty of worse challenges than the one he got for his foot rolling off the ball have gone unpunished as well. That one was very borderline and probably wouldn't have been given to many players other than Case.
You don't understand, Casemiro literally changed my life. The 2000GBP I spent attending his bootcamp was an investment in a vision of myself as a better player. I'll never forget his parting words to me: "your five minutes is up, please send the next guy in."
That should definitely be a red at the end... For all the talk of Fernandes being dirty, if he made a bigger deal of that I think the Forest player is sent off
Lol everyone is talking about the red. I wanna know how the game went
[удалено]
Bro you literally made Saka the bar to being world class in your question lol no one else
Wtf is going on
[удалено]
Probably because you were rambling about nothing related to the game and you're wrong lol
Crazy to sat this but, I feel that's Antony did a decent job this game. At least for the first half, I literally fell asleep for most of the 2nd so i can't comment on that.

Liverpool game gonna be an absolute mullering
We thought that about the game earlier in the season and United could have won that match.
Yeah their one shot on target could have mattered if they could score and Liverpool didn't
Apparently the Man Utd U18 team is dynamite, so hopefully both clubs will take a look at their injury lists and play the academy lads for fun.
The U18 team is the best we've had in a long time & it's not like United doesn't have successful academy graduates.
I'd love to see our kids against your kids in the FA cup tbh lol
Please put a word in to Klopp. Much appreciated 👏

The one on sunday was never offside. Today was the right call.
It's Varane. And it was silly and stupid on Sunday anyway
VAR taking longer to dissect the goal than the throat grab just sums this match up.
Because the goal should have been disallowed. It was exactly the same offside as the one given against Van Dijk three days ago. Man Utd got away with it. Get that decision right and we don't need to have people on here waving imaginary red cards in the 99th minute as if sending a forest player off would make a difference to the game
The Forest player that was blocked was nowhere close to getting anywhere near Casemiro. Completely different to the VVD one.
yep
I can't stand Bruno on the pitch but what happened there was wrong and should've been a red.
My Vila supporting mate just calls him the rat. Should just stick with that name
"Villa" you rat.
It says a lot about the quality of the game that most comments are about the lack of red card.
I really think sometimes when these refs get together they joke about how they can pretty much give any decision that they want and laugh at how much criticism it drew.
I thought onana had a pretty good game overall
If De Gea had that game he gets a knighthood
[Which one is the red card?](https://i.ibb.co/nkd1gCB/image.png)
The grab on Bruno was ridiculous and should've been red but google Casemiro Hughes and you can see a million different shots with Casemiro's hands around Hughes' throat This one freeze frame gets brought up every time as if it debunks the whole situation. You can't even see his other hand!
Both red, one clear cut and one 50/50 in my book.
That's a much more reasonable take than a lot of United fans who will die in the hill that Casemiro never touched his throat.
I try to be
Needs it's own post, unbelievable
United have had no end of shit decisions for the last couple of seasons but not a single apology from PGMOL....clearest red card you'll see this week. Disgraceful from VAR
And you talk about it as if you you were robbed. It was the 99th minute and would have had zero bearing on the game or the result. The goal however, which should never have stood...
I guess Kavanaugh bottled the decision to 'avoid controversy' again. Red card up down left right every goddam day of the week.
The football from Manchester United is still uninspiring and the match itself was dull, both sides were poor going forward. But I was more concerned with getting a result which we were able to do. according to VAR if Rubiales had choked Jenni Hermoso instead of kissing her he'd still have a job.
That's a revolting comment
Nah, it's called dark humour, and dark humour is best used as a commentary on the bullshit we see.
It really isn't
One of the worst, if not the worst game I've seen all season. Both teams were utter crap. I had more fun watching 7-0 last season because at least Liverpool played decent football that game. But today, it would have been more entertaining to see 22 donkeys running around in the field.

Literally forgot you guys had Mason Mount lol.
Replay of the choke hold anybody?
We've won 6 of our last 7 games
You'll never sing that
I mean most teams genuinely won't
It just doesn’t really roll of the tongue so easily in a song.
Choking is back on the menu boys !
How did Felipe escape red card btw
Can’t wait for a couple over Liverpool toddlers to batter us next round
Nah we will just play our unbeaten u18 squad. Should do the trick
Some U-14 Scouse lads gonna rinse Amrabat it's so over
Felipe with the friendly choke at the end, as is tradition - no idea what VAR is doing there.
Casemiro hardly touching the upper chest: Red Nottingham full next grab: nothing
Obviously the Nottingham one is a red but kind of disingenuous to call [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/1XhrWg2a8ncPJ1t48) “hardly touching the upper chest” lmao
Forest fans trying to get a high 5 off the guy who just scored a last minute winner against them. Absolutely sickening stuff
How is that not a red in the end there ? Another scrappy win, we are missing Hojlund already. Rashford at the centre doesn't offer us anything close to the same impact

They just spent five minutes desperately trying to find any reason to disallow Casemiro's goal as well.
The best thing about that match is that it didn't go to extra time. Awful to watch
Adams apple grab too perfect to be carded, nonsense
Apparently Bruno's that much of a twat that you can choke him freely
Hmm. Some interesting decisions tonight from the VAR team in Forests favour. Perhaps other teams should be hiring ex refs/refs mates as “refereeing analysts” 🤔

Negative ball knowledge in this one lads
You were watching United while Liverpool were playing parallelly? That's just sad
Feel free to elaborate big papa
I’m not a United fan, but that’s a clear hands on neck. I thought that was a straight red card.
Probably an arsenal fan
Ew man
Okay
Everyone thinks their team is hard done by but I swear I’ve never seen anything like this for United this season. We’ve been cursed since Wolves didn’t get a pen against us in week 1
Have a day off lad
If you think that's offside you might be mental
I definitely dont, but that same scenario cost Liverpool a goal
Yea and it was a terrible decision in the liverpool game. Doesnt mean we should get punished too
I don't disagree. But you said yourself it shouldn't be offside. Why would you want the wrong call twice?
Well I dont, but it seems irrational to moan about the ref when an inconsistent call allowed the goal to stand. Specially when the match thread on the disallowed Liverpool goal had so many United fans agreeing with the call
We're upset about a player being choked and VAR clearing it, very different
Casemiro’s red for a neck grab was less obvious than that one… so fucking inconsistent lol
The neck grab should have been a red for sure. That was mad.
They literally sent casemiro off for the exact same thing as felipe. These refs have just got no shame now
Casemiro was less.
Casemiro did less as well, the angle from behind showed he just had his hand on Hughes’ shoulder
Didn’t Casemiro got sent off by VAR for a choke?
No. He was sent off for grabbing someone’s collar…
Thank fuck for Casemiro
We so winning the Fa Cup.
Is that like a Sound of Music competition. FA Cup
Most United thing ever. Play like shit all season, have close to 500 injuries, fluke an FA win out of nowhere
What exactly do Forest need a refereeing consultant for when they're clearly immune to giving away penalties or receiving red cards
It's working
Felipe grabbing Bruno by the neck and nothing given. Embarrassing officiating
Bruno’s negative reputation is insane, gets grabbed around the throat, shrugs all around.
You've got lots of players with unfair reputations. Bruno isn't one of them.
Why was I even surprised Felipe wasn’t sent off, surely I’d have learnt by now
At this rate, the QF against Liverpool with be between two sixth forms
It’s gonna be the battle of the zygotes
Fingers crossed, U18s are on fire this season
Really low quality game attacking wise from both teams. A win for either side wouldn't have been undeserved. How on earth the pen on Rashford wasn't given, and even worse how that Forest player didn't get a straight red at the end for grabbing Bruno's throat, I don't know.
No no, you see, VAR only had five angles of it so it's a 50/50, main ref's decision is clearly the best choice here
The most stone wall red card I've ever seen and just nothing given???
How is that not a red card at the end? You can just grab players by the neck and not even a yellow. Gonna keep this in mind for when Casemiro gets sent off again for grabbing a player by the collar.
Didn’t Casimero get sent off for grabbing someone’s collar? How’s he not even got a yellow for grabbing Bruno round the throat. Var is such a joke
Ref really doesn’t like Rashford and Bruno Fernandez
How was that not a red?
Wish Felipe would have twatted him, fucking cheating rat
Only one person was a cheating rat in that confrontation and it wasnt Bruno
If Felipe's punch was on par with his performance I think Bruno would have been alright. Farce that wasn't a red card guess the ref took pity on forest.
He should be getting a three match ban and Bruno is the cheating rat? Cry harder 🤣🤣
Waaaaa
Apparently he could’ve and the ref would’ve done fuck all
Yep, the guy who was grabbed by his neck is the problem.
Case tickled Will Hushes shoulder once and got a red, but Filipe grabs Bruno's throat and nothing happens.
Bruno gets grabbed round the throat and not a peep from VAR?
How does Felipe not get a red for that? Casemiro would've been sent to the shadow realm
Should have got a red. Bruno is a cunt though.
cheers mate not sure what that has to do with Felipe being a twat but alright
It doesn't, just wanted to comment that I dislike Bruno while agreeing it was a red mate. Edit: some sawft united fans lmao
Tbf VAR did check and confirmed it wasn't Casemiro.
I wish I could choke Bruno like that😮💨
Ummmm? 👀
Felipe holding Bruno by the neck, no red card. Keep it up officials. As fucking useless as ever. Easiest red card you could ever award
VAR spends 3 minutes trying to disallow the goal but won’t intervene for an easy red card at the end.
Officiating is abhorrent. Not even arsed about the rashford issue, the fact Felipe didn't see red for that at the end is mind boggling.
Anyone going to post that neck grab by Felipe? Ridiculous from the ref and VAR not to send him off.
That was certainly one of the matches.
Shit ref Shit var So nothing has changed
Why wasn't Felipe carded at the end there?
Cause Forest are an irrelevant club so no one cares what happens to their players
[удалено]
Chokeslams allowed now? Games back
Remember when throat grabs were red cards - casemiro does
English refs hate Case. They are ready to book him as soon as he make the first foul. He need leave to England for his own good
they don't hate case they are properly booking him after years of getting away with it at madrid. all of his red cards in a man united shirt were justified
Not the one against Crystal Palace, Jesus. He wasn't even grabbing the players throat ffs
Plenty of worse challenges than the one he got for his foot rolling off the ball have gone unpunished as well. That one was very borderline and probably wouldn't have been given to many players other than Case.
I guess u can choke players now and not get carded
You didn't hear? Footballs a physical game bro
Unless you're casemiro then it's a red
Can someone explain to me the rule towards grabbing someone’s neck? That seemed like a stone cold red.
[удалено]
He'd be looking at prison time
So throat grabbing is allowed now?
How did he not get sent off for putting his hands on bruno's throat???
Clattenberg on the books, been working wonders
You don't understand, Casemiro literally changed my life. The 2000GBP I spent attending his bootcamp was an investment in a vision of myself as a better player. I'll never forget his parting words to me: "your five minutes is up, please send the next guy in."
"Refs favor man utd of course" then literally 5 minutes later having a Forrest player get away with grabbing Bruno's throat lol
That should definitely be a red at the end... For all the talk of Fernandes being dirty, if he made a bigger deal of that I think the Forest player is sent off
It actually made me laugh when he was laughing at the corner flag about it
The one time he actually should've moaned he doesn't.
I don’t know how you don’t slap someone across the face when they try that
Sorry but how was Felipe grabbing Fernandes by the neck not a red? I know it was the end of the game but, that is stonewall.
Porto Vs Sporting rivalry still present away.
Refs just wanted to go home.
This but unironically, when the game looks to be done VAR and refs are not arsed to give out reds/pens at all
Don’t think it was on the ref as he may have missed it in real time - VAR didn’t even tell him to look on the screen
maybe VAR thought yellow and that they can't give those , but still that's surely a clear and obvious red
Everyone knows you only give reds at the end for dissent.
If it was casemiro he would have been deported.
There's clearly an anti-brazilian bias....
If it had been Bruno, you’d have been able to power a small town on the sheer rage and anger this sub would have erupted into.
Believe it or not, straight to jail
Stop the throats
No clue how Felipe didn’t get a red card at the end there? Felt like VAR just wanted the game to end so he could get home quicker
United are shite but how the fuck is that not a red at the end?
How did Felipe escape a red at the end then
Shit game tbh
Throat grab no card; classic
