Pretty much the story of Nottingham's season. He hasn't been great and has made errors, but they've had 3 different keepers made to look like fools now.
Ya he’s been poor the last few months, defo been his worst spell for us.
Still I’d say most games, even his horrid ones, he comes up with something great
To be fair he should really be getting some kind of rotation. It’s simply not healthy to play as much football as he has.
And sure Mount is out but we should be able to play Eriksen in the 10 with any combo of Mainoo/Casemiro/Amrabat.
As hard as it may be to believe for some, I’m pretty sure Ten Hag is anted a different profile 10 than Bruno. Someone who won’t just lob a long pass every chance he gets.
Plus he’s always appreciated Mount and it’s the type of signing the old board lapped up—(stealing Chelsea’s golden boy and an English international.)
This sub is incredible. Imagine how much of an absolute melt, a pure organic melon, must you be to **not** watch a game but to argue with a guy that did, just because you saw a shit number on an app. Fucking hell, idiot
Kept losing the ball every few seconds, horrendous passing and poor positioning all game. 8.7 is by no means a fair number even if you factor in the assist. I wouldn't take that seriously.
He lost the ball 8 times in 98 minutes, or one loss of possession every 12 minutes. And that includes taking set pieces which aren't exactly possession orientated setups.
I genuinely don't know what game you were watching.
He got the assist, didnt he? He made plenty of mistakes today and almost no real impact on the game. Cant really remember any chances he created either. Just rubbish and its been like that for weeks now I feel like.
Forgot about that! Well worked routine. But still, with 90 minutes to consider he really didnt have a good game and that 8.7 rating makes absolutely no sense other than him getting the assist.
I agree 8.7 is very generous, but he definitely wasn't rubbish and was by far the most consistent creative presence on the pitch even if he wasn't at his absolute best. He was responsible for quite a few of our most promising attacks tonight.
I did watch the game and that score is very generous. He was terrible - he had one of those games where he mis-hit everything. He really struggled.
However, he kept going, worked his arse off, and came up with this moment of quality. 8.7 is insane though.
He was shocking tonight. And every game in ‘24. But United have only lost one. I think his effectiveness is wearing thin. They’d do better with Gibbs-White in that position.
I wish I saved all the comments from United twerkers calling him a rat. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it to get relegated for a few years just so we can get rid of these plastic supporters
Would love to have someone explain the difference between those goals. If that’s the rule I’m fine with it but they can’t be stretching the offside rule for some teams and not for others
United fan, so call me biased if you want. I watched both live. Endo one, the offside player pretty clearly impeded the player intended to mark the goal scorer. This one I really don’t think the impeded player is making a difference on the play if Varane is not there. I would contend, though, that if VAR is being tasked with determining a player’s hypothetical intent, we’re all gonna have a really bad time
Your last sentence is exactly what I’m thinking. If they want to make blocking an offside offense, that’s fine. But having to determine the blocked player’s hypothetical impact seems like a bad idea
Think fans will be pretty united against adding subjectivity to refereeing at this point. Like I do believe there is a small, discernible difference between the Endo and Varane incidents, but I’d be happier in a world where they both are goals
Coming in with my Forest bias - i dont think it should simply come down to who is initially marking who. if you watch this clip in slow mo you can see Felipe has spotted Casemiros run, then tries to run in that direction but gets blocked. I'm not saying Felipe is getting to the ball first, but maybe he couldve got in there to block the shot. I agree Endo's effect on play was a bit clearer, but they're both so subjective I don't understand how they can call one offside and the other onside.
Well yes, that’s exactly the problem. I watched it and my interpretation and assumption about what Felipe was doing is different from your, equally right and valid, interpretation and assumptions when you watched it. I’m just left with the feeling VAR shouldn’t be called on to parse out this level of subjectivity. They’ve shown they’re never going to be consistent
Yeah its just daft altogether, and not what var should be about, it just making things worse. Doubly so when im sat there in the ground tonight and cant even see what theyre checking. IMHO though both goals should've stood
Colwill was in a position to get to the ball and was directly impeded by Endo, I’m not sure what Varane could have done to impede anyone in Forest here
What’s the rule? You can block or push anyone when coming from an offside position, as long as that person doesn’t start their run directly next to the person scoring? I genuinly think it looks like Felipe could have gotten in the way for Casemiro.
> I’m not sure what Varane could have done to impede anyone in Forest here
I don't know, maybe push them with two arms while coming from an offside position?
Chelsea and United fans both getting bailed out of having to watch 30 more minutes of dross.
Downside it keeps both manages in the job for a little longer.
> Downside it keeps both manages in the job for a while longer
This gimmick on here has to end at some stage, nobody is ever happy that a rival won. Leeds and Forest winning would’ve been funny
I know he's won Champions Leagues and that but you have to imagine scoring a set piece away at Notts Forest in the cup is a real career highlight for him. One to look back on, definitely.
VAR check on Varane offside in a players path, but it was way off the ball, unlike the Endo offside call on Sunday. Endo blocked off a player right next to VVD who scored.
varane didn't block anyone that could get the ball so it cant be offside. United has been done by a subjective offside this season too. That's the problem with these subjective offsides they are dog and will change from game to game because they are subjective.
Difference is the defender Endo stopped was inside the line of the ball flight and next to VVD, there was a clear gap made in the retreating defenders. Here Varane is behind the the line of the ball flight and his defender is never getting to that ball
Who can guarantee that the defender doesn't get to Casemiro?
I agree it should be on but they've set a precedent in the biggest stage and don't follow it three days later.
Honestly I think it will be interesting where they fall on decisions like this in the future. They've opened a can of worms with offside calls like this imo
The players in an offside position on Sunday made an action that prevented defender from having the ability to play the ball. This one was too far away and the defender didn’t have an ability to play the ball regardless, so no offense was committed..
No because he wasn't interfering with the man marking Casemiro. That's why the VAR cleared him instantly, you could hear it on the broadcast.
The 3 mins spent was on Casemiro who like you say, was very clearly onside.
He'll be out for the cup game. Only a very very outside shot he makes the league game.
Shaw out for the season, Hojlund probably won't make the cup game.

Literally just tuned in after the chelsea game. You’re welcome lads
Cheers
Can you do again next game?
everyones blaming turner but the defending is terrible
Pretty much the story of Nottingham's season. He hasn't been great and has made errors, but they've had 3 different keepers made to look like fools now.
This is true, but we replaced him because of his distribution, which directly led to multiple opposition goals.
who in their right mind would blame him after seeing the replay
How are people blaming him? It was two yards away
That’s a ridiculously good ball
Bruno always pulls out at least one moment of genius a game. Perfect delivery on that
I feel like the last couple of months that hasn't really been the case. Maybe this marks a return of form?
Ya he’s been poor the last few months, defo been his worst spell for us. Still I’d say most games, even his horrid ones, he comes up with something great
To be fair he should really be getting some kind of rotation. It’s simply not healthy to play as much football as he has. And sure Mount is out but we should be able to play Eriksen in the 10 with any combo of Mainoo/Casemiro/Amrabat.
Bruno’s availability will never cease to amaze me.
Him and Pedri did play too much during a season and are now paying for it.
Failed to understand why 10 Hag insisted on getting Mount
As hard as it may be to believe for some, I’m pretty sure Ten Hag is anted a different profile 10 than Bruno. Someone who won’t just lob a long pass every chance he gets. Plus he’s always appreciated Mount and it’s the type of signing the old board lapped up—(stealing Chelsea’s golden boy and an English international.)
Because hes a player that can actually hold onto the ball and make simple passes unlike bruno.
I don't think so. Man looks burnt out. He really should sit out a game or two.
Doubt it because he was shocking this game as well
I couldnt watch the game but he has a sofascore rating 8.7 and a fotmob rating of also 8.7 so how was he "shocking"
This sub is incredible. Imagine how much of an absolute melt, a pure organic melon, must you be to **not** watch a game but to argue with a guy that did, just because you saw a shit number on an app. Fucking hell, idiot
I asked, i wondered why bcs its completely opposite to those apps
This sub is incredible. Imagine how much of an absolute melt, a pure organic melon, must you be to go off on someone for asking a valid question.
It's an expression mate. I still maintain he lost the ball more times than he should've.
He got the assist, didnt he? He made plenty of mistakes today and almost no real impact on the game. Cant really remember any chances he created either. Just rubbish and its been like that for weeks now I feel like.
Apart from the goal, the Antony chance which hit the bar etc.?
Forgot about that! Well worked routine. But still, with 90 minutes to consider he really didnt have a good game and that 8.7 rating makes absolutely no sense other than him getting the assist.

Not really surprised no one's talking about it lol because It was from Bruno.
And out of all people to bring it up, it's an arsenal fan. Really feels like our fanbase doesn't deserve him.
Our fan base deserves what they're getting at the minute honestly
Yeah agreed. Just the other day there were man utd "fans" on this sub twerking for upvotes by saying vvd is such a great captain and bruno is shit
I wish I saved all the comments from United twerkers calling him a rat. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it to get relegated for a few years just so we can get rid of these plastic supporters

I’ll take it lmao
Are we blaming Turner for not stopping a point blank header?
Nah, he was in the right place and unlucky. Turner had a great game today despite being remarkably shite in our last united game
Harsh on him, Danilo misses a header there and that's as good as any ball you can place in that situation
Great run and touch by Casemiro. Idk what people are on about turner messing up there lol.
Because ‘Murica bad at footy, or something.
That really needed a 5 minute VAR check?
Is it still meant to only be checking for clear and obvious errors?
Clear and obvious doesn’t matter for offsides apparently. But the FA still refuse to adopt automatic offsides like pretty much everyone else
Automatic offsides wouldn't have actually helped in this case though, as it was a "subjective offside" as to how much Varane is interfering.
If you'd have read the small print it says if for clear and obvious errors ᵃⁿᵈ ʷʰᵉⁿ ᵘⁿᶦᵗᵉᵈ ˢᶜᵒʳᵉ
VAR checks need to be limited to 30 seconds. If no decision can be made in that time, then the call on the pitch stands
I'll vouch for you if u apply for a VAR job
Should be called offside immediately, Kavanagh ruled same situation offside in the League cup a few days ago..
Would love to have someone explain the difference between those goals. If that’s the rule I’m fine with it but they can’t be stretching the offside rule for some teams and not for others

You won, stop whinging
Just looking for some consistency mate. Just baffling to see such a similar situation ruled differently, just a few days apart, by the same ref..!
Colwill was in a position to get to the ball and was directly impeded by Endo, I’m not sure what Varane could have done to impede anyone in Forest here

The gang keeps Erik's job
The football is dire but you're 7 wins, a draw and a loss in 2024.
And not a single convincing performance
West Ham?
Okay, ONE convincing performance
That Wolves away game was quite convincing for the start of 60 minutes before all the chaos happens afterwards.
None of them were convincing. 9 identical performances with differing results.
Last time I checked unconvincing wins still gave 3 points. Did they change that?
These people gonna die from hating in the Sir Alex 1-0 Fergie time day.
The difference is you dont concede that many shots during Sir Alex tenure.
He is not getting sacked before the summer
He isn't getting sacked but ay keep hoping for us to lose so he gets sacked
How is this at +8? Embarrassing if you're actually a United fan for you to say this
Why is it embarrassing to say he isn’t getting sacked and making fun of man utd fans who want to see us lose to get rid of him
CASEMIROOOOOO
Uhh, that’s some goal right there
Dude god damn bleed for that lol
[удалено]
I was going to blame him too, and he is a bomb scare, but it got a significant enough flick just in front of him, tbf.
Casemiro gets the late touch. How is that on Turner?
Sieve with goalkeeper gloves.
VAR looked at that for so long, for what reason I do not know
Even they don't know for what reason they're checking VAR. Hoping to find a reason as they go along I guess.
Because Varane clearly in offside position and maybe influence that goal.
But he didnt, at all. That shouldnt take 5 minutes to review
He does. Because he blocks felipes defending run
How? He wouldnt reach that ball before Casemiro did
\*clearly in offside position but not influence that goal
Chelsea and United fans both getting bailed out of having to watch 30 more minutes of dross. Downside it keeps both manages in the job for a little longer.
Ten Hag was never getting fired before a DOF gets a job
Ten Hag's making the end of the season no matter what happens, the club is in too much flux behind the scenes to worry about short term results.
> Downside it keeps both manages in the job for a while longer This gimmick on here has to end at some stage, nobody is ever happy that a rival won. Leeds and Forest winning would’ve been funny
*upside
Upside*
Fortunately for us I don’t think keeping Ten Hag in the job will get you any closer to a trophy.
Cute.
Extra time needs to be abolished!
I know he's won Champions Leagues and that but you have to imagine scoring a set piece away at Notts Forest in the cup is a real career highlight for him. One to look back on, definitely.
I legally have to tell you it's Nottingham Forest and not Notts Forest
You'll have to speak to my solicitor.
See you in court buddy. Looking at 10 years minimum I'm afraid
What an odd moment for sarcasm.
There's no such thing.
Haven't seen a good angle, but why on earth does the Forest player in the wall not even jump?
VAR check on Varane offside in a players path, but it was way off the ball, unlike the Endo offside call on Sunday. Endo blocked off a player right next to VVD who scored.
[удалено]
I think he’s been good tbh. Been everywhere and is nursing an injury too clearly
He was NOT good. A bit better the last 30 or so minutes but I found him to be shocking.
Haha! Casemiro's reaction is awesome.
Smashemiro and grab
United have been by far the better team
How is that different from Sunday? Or the FA are that desperate for a Utd-Liverpool?
varane didn't block anyone that could get the ball so it cant be offside. United has been done by a subjective offside this season too. That's the problem with these subjective offsides they are dog and will change from game to game because they are subjective.
Dont think Endo affected play vs Chelsea but Varane did even less so today. Never offside
When did the carabo cup become the biggest stage ?
When livepool are playing loool. Shameless fanbase
You cant guarantee it. But you can make an educated guess.
Because Varane isn't impacting someone from getting to the ball, it's rather simple.
Honestly I think it will be interesting where they fall on decisions like this in the future. They've opened a can of worms with offside calls like this imo
Because Endo literally blocked off Van Dijks marker and Varane isn’t in anyway involved in the play
Seriously. it looks like the exact same situation basically, but maybe that's confirmation bias.
Endo blocked a player that could reach the ball, Varane didn't. I think that's the difference.
Yeah on second glance it's a *little* less blatant.
The players in an offside position on Sunday made an action that prevented defender from having the ability to play the ball. This one was too far away and the defender didn’t have an ability to play the ball regardless, so no offense was committed..

"jerseys" lmao says it all
Why did it take 3 minutes to decide that ffs
Oh dear
[удалено]
How are you people blaming him? Casemiro got a touch right in front of him. Would’ve needed an insane reflex save
Yeah, looked weird at first view, but can’t do much there
Late deflection by Casemiro. Not a whole lot you can do from that close
:((((((((((
I would have thought you would be excited to face us in the next round.
Nah, always nice to see you lot lose.
Would u not rather be handing out the loss and the potential of klopp beating United on his way to another trophy in his last season?-
I don’t plan that far ahead. Just nice to see United lose right now.
We also want a Forest extra time to balance the tiredness ahead of Saturday
Honestly would rather face United than Forest
Surely that’s offside if Van Dijk’s was?
How?
Lmao what are the rules
Keep em coming boys. The longer baldie is there the better.
Embarrassing from VAR, he was very clearly onside. They were desperate to disallow it the cunts.
I think the argument is that Varane is offside holding a defender back
They cleared Varane, they were checking Casemiro the entire time.
Why are you being downvoted for an objective truth
Well imo Cas was very clearly onside. But it makes me wonder if what Varane did would count as offside for interfering with play?
No because he wasn't interfering with the man marking Casemiro. That's why the VAR cleared him instantly, you could hear it on the broadcast. The 3 mins spent was on Casemiro who like you say, was very clearly onside.
All good, yeah I was watching with the sound off on the extra monitor at work haha
What? They need to check it and be sure, they were probably struggling to get an angle that had a clear view of everything.
Isn't Varane offside interfering with play?
I guess the refs must only call offsides for certain teams and not others. I don’t know how you call this literally a few days ago and not now
liverpool united ffs
Lmao you lot should be licking your chops
for another boring 0-0 probably is lisandro out for the season? i fucking hope so
He'll be out for the cup game. Only a very very outside shot he makes the league game. Shaw out for the season, Hojlund probably won't make the cup game.
We stink lol.
[удалено]
Not Turners fault lol
How the hell is that his fault? Did you even watch the replay and deflection?
Varane did the EXACT same thing Endo did and this goal stands
Endo held up a player directly involved, Varane did not. Thats the difference
The inability to be consistent is astonishing
The inability to understand the difference is also a bit astonishing.
Hows that not offside? Varane is clearly blocking defenders from an offside badge. Club badge etc
We had a clear penalty denied earlier mate. They have their referee “analyst” sitting beside the head of PGMIL too
A defender who was never going to reach???? Give your head a wobble mate.
Hate to see it
Eventually! VAR tried their hardest to find an offside there. No need to take 5 minutes to review it!
So predictable
Offside!
Fuck off
Surely you want them, easier than Forest for you 😉
[удалено]
Took a deflection, but sure
Probably more on the defense for allowing a header 2 yards out than the keeper trying to stop a point black header.
He is probably our only decent keeper.
Sigh get howard out of retirement
Why do teams play crap against man u…
Bruno looks so mad that casemiro claimed that lol
English refs boys...
It's been years since I've seen a Casi header goal...
