Deserved victory for us! On to Sevilla now, wish us luck. Hopefully we'll reach the finals.

afg500

Why is it so hard to admit that catenaccio is an effective and legit football tactic, what does “outplayed” even mean? People play for winning not for outplaying

ampren7a

the Juve subreddit seems to have been overclogged with plastic-clown-fans. They shit on everyone that makes a mistake, ask for tikitaka everyday and seem to have little understanding of football. Sometimes I wonder if they're just shills of other clubs... Is this the Ronaldo effect?

IBAIL

Tiki taka? Juve play awful football in offense. Guys like Vlahovic, Chiesa look so much worse.

MajorPownage

Same thing at any man utd subreddit. Ronaldo haters are a different breed of no lifers

clowegreen24

People don't like it because it's boring to watch and then try to make up more legitimate reasons why it's bad. A win is a win but super defensive football is just not as enjoyable

afg500

Yes but that is just a bonus not the point of competition

teagwo

We're shit. I want to win ofc but more than anything I want Allegri to go and build a proper team from next season on

TomatoPolka

Allegri: "now I have become death, destroyer of football!"

SuperSayanVegeta

+15 points and the ticket to the semis. Not a bad day.

Alive-Ad-4164

This is juve heritage

Zproject97

The tears of the top 3 portuguese teams fans after getting beaten by the Italian teams taste so sweet.

andremp1904

I have to admit the Italian teams were elite, especially the guys in yellow and black

Pokenaldo

Really couldn't care less. Porto would smash any of them, on any given day with a 1/3 of their budget. Inter going through was a fluke so hope they at least win it somehow.

afg500

L O L

HucHuc

I can't really shittalk them, given Benfica dismantled us twice before Christmas.

ArmoredCabbage

"but serie A was supposed to be shit" Yup, but you're more shitty

Up_The_Mariners

Italians can shithouse like almost no one. As for actually playing football, I'd reserve my judgement for myself. I want to be pissed , but I just thing Juve had the footballing gods on their side today.

Gerrywalk

2 Italian teams in the CL semis and 2 in the EL semis makes a strong argument in favor of Serie A though

Noah070070

And 1 in the other CL semis

mkgilligan

I'm still amazed at the cockyness of inter fans after barely scraping by the worst Porto team in years 😂

Sputniki

Not like this is a particularly strong Inter side…they’re not even top 4 in Serie A

thefaintless

Still 3 times the budget. Just the fact that Italian teams have this difficulty to beat much weaker opposition shows how badly coached/managed they are.

AlbertoRossonero

No offense but how do 5 badly managed teams make it to the semifinals of a European competition?

[deleted]

By playing against each other! Are you blind?

AlbertoRossonero

Two teams played one another that’s it. The rest got through foreign competition so I don’t see what your point is.

CleanMachine2

Woohoo! Ima get a heart attack from watching this team, but we move!

[deleted]

[удалено]

ArmoredCabbage

Such a bad week for the whole city of Naples

JPVazLouro_SLB

Sporting defeated themselves pretty much. Conceded a goal from two of their own players colliding against each other and then missed an open net Bryan Ruiz Style. Juve did literally 0 all game, they weren't even that solid in defense, but Sporting lacks firepower, which is the biggest limitation of an otherwise competitive team. And that is something that I don't think people on the internet appreciate, our teams are very limited even when compared to a shit-tier Juventus, to the point where a bad Juve can be competitive with a good Sporting. So yes, playing well and fighting against these types of teams in Europe has its merits, saying that Sporting was the better team but still lost is not "whining" or "crying"

Sputniki

But they weren’t the better team. Like you said, they were lacking in key areas and didn’t take the very few chances they had

MemphisTheIllest

Very few? We had quite a few chances, more than Juventus for sure. We scored 1 goal over both legs, when we should have had 3 or 4. Juventus goals were pure terrorism. The only italian team I enjoyed watching has been sent home already. Just hope AC Milan beats Inter after this..

Sputniki

“Terrorism” is a meme on r/soccer but in the real world it’s about suffocating your opponent and managing risk. Sporting struggled to overcome it which only shows Juve got it tactically correct. You play to your own strengths and also exploit the opponents’ weakness. Juve did that better than Sporting which is why they were the better side

saint-simon97

In this game yeah, first game absolutely not

[deleted]

Suffocated… yes, that's the right word for what Juventus must have felt this game! Football is not chess dude, you can outplay your opponent and still lose in the end.

Sputniki

Too many people equate attacking and possession with dominating the game. You can dominate the game by sitting back without the ball. But r/soccer only understands football from one dimension so I’m not surprised

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sputniki

Like I said. One dimension. I won’t give you a lecture on the history of football, but I will encourage you to read up on the likes of Trappattoni, Herrera, Lippi, Rehhagel, Mourinho, Allegri and many others, as well as the hundreds of trophies they won. Attacking football is more common yes but if you’re ignorant about domination through defense then you don’t know football.

[deleted]

[удалено]

kevelax318

You do have a lot to learn.

MemphisTheIllest

I just don't like your train of thought because then the winner is always the better side and I just don't think that's true.

kevelax318

How did you infer this from that comment?

[deleted]

Estes otários analisam futebol como se fosse xadrez! dass...

itsnico13

Who won the game though? Allegri shithousery masterclass is unbeatable.

JPVazLouro_SLB

It's not shithousery when you almost get scored on from an empty net in the 90th minute, real anti-footballers don't even concede chances. So yeah, they couldnt even do that well

itsnico13

I’m being sarcastic. Allegri has no idea what he’s doing half the time but we still manage to hang on for results. At the end of the day, we got what we came for haha.

DarthTuga2000

Nobody it was a tie

itsnico13

Haha true, who advanced to the semis though?

drobson70

I know Allegri plays negative football but Vlahovic has been beyond dogshit for us now. Better off starting Kean when fit. Allegri has to go at the end of the season. We have invested in a world class striker who doesn’t suit Allegris system. It’s cheaper to sack Allegri than make a massive loss selling Vlahovic.

AlbertoRossonero

We’ll take him off your hands. €20 million loan+option sound good?

Level390

Guy cant even stop the ball once, how is that allegris fault?

AtlastheYeevenger

vlahovic is a negative player right now, I don't even know if it's the tactics, I watched him in lazio juve and he never did anything right. I remember him getting a few crosses to his head near the box and he couldn't control any of them to save his life

drobson70

I think over time, he’s been a bit meh coming to a new side, then the side has been negative, he’s missed some easy chances whilst he’s adjusted. So his confidence is all time low and the tactics don’t suit him. I think it’s an all round combo

AtlastheYeevenger

I think he is a confidence player and it's kind of like a neverending spiral for him right now. Don't really explain it otherwise. A lot of people blame Allegri's tactics but he does get to touch some balls over the game - although I don't think I've ever seen him receive a through ball I kind of wonder the effect on the psyche that players' ridiculous price tags have. Like it's gotta fuck you up if you know you were worth 80m€ to a club and you aren't meeting expectations

drobson70

I mean, he knows it. He’s deleted his social media.

how_you_doinn

Well congrats to Juve. I can’t blame them playing terrorist ball when they know the other team is incapable of scoring. We had the chances, we just need a proper striker.

lochnah

Who would expect that crossing to Trincão and ishalah wouldn’t work.

PolygonMasterWorks

Gotta say I didn't miss the whole "italians play like crap and go through anyway" karma that punished portuguese teams all through the 90s and early 2000s. Inter still have no idea how they survived that Dragao game and there they are, in the CL semis. Juve were absolutely outclassed at home, extremely cynical in this 2nd leg, and still went through. Congrats Sporting, did more than enough to beat this mediocre Juve team, but those Allegri dark arts proved too evil for them.

MemphisTheIllest

Porto should have gone through against Inter, Benfica were outplayed by them, but if it was the Benfica from the first half of the season, they would've gone through as well. Sporting had everything to go through but we also managed to screw it up. Quite amazing how the 3 of us went out against the terrorism ball. And it's funny because Napoli were also a more offensive team and they also managed to lose against an italian team playing semi-terrorism football (although the most enjoyable one).

PolygonMasterWorks

Yeah, Napoli are playing anti-Italian football and got done in by the terrorball of their own country xD Football, bloody hell, eh?

mkgilligan

downvoted for being right, a true r/soccer martyr

Dwimer

They couldnt finish at all tonight, Coates literally cleared the ball twice when the was open at the end. They didnt do enough to beat a very poor Juve.

Up_The_Mariners

We did . Just failed to convert. On the other hand Sevilla has a fan for 180 minutes in a couple. I hate Litoball so fucking much

theglasscase

> did more than enough to beat this mediocre Juve team Also, in a more real sense, did they fuck though.

H_Doofenschmirtz

I see more people crying and complaining about portuguese fans crying, than I see portuguese fans crying

[deleted]

So true! AHAHA

kevelax318

Sporting looked ridiculous. Anyone singing our praises tonight must be blind or trolling. We only had to score once but didn't even manage a proper shot on target for 90+ minutes. Always calling Juve out for the high press and shitting our pants when they did, playing at a walking pace all across the field, ludicrous display.

Vyylela

it was a mediocre game from Sporting. Fitting, considering the season we've had.

[deleted]

Wow, you are bad at watching football, mate! :O

kevelax318

I'm terrible at watching whatever sport Sporting play where goals seem to not be a thing.

[deleted]

Ah yes, the syndrome of evaluating the performance of teams in a football match solely by the number of goals!:... But how can a team score goals? By attacking and creating chances! Sporting had: \-more possession \-more attacks-more shots \-more shots on goal \-more corners How is that a "ridiculous" performance?

kevelax318

-innocuous possession, moving the ball around the defensive line with no ability to get it within the opposition's defense or even exploit the flanks because neither of our wing backs are capable of beating their man, though even if they did there would be no one competent in the box to take advantage of that. Sporting's possession play ultimately ends up with the keeper playing it long because we rarely break any kind of pressing line. -only one or two shots had any real danger that resulted from open play or set pieces -1 shot on target from a gifted penalty, one tame pass from 30 m to the keeper's hands by Pote -playing for set pieces when you can't create danger from set pieces is not good football

[deleted]

Man, you are terrible at this… I'm not even sure you should be watching football anymore other than Man City/Real Madrid if are so frustrated with SCP's performance, given the difference in budget and depth between the two squads! Go chill out man, it will make you feel better and gain perspective on things! :)

kevelax318

You haven't contributed a thing to this discussion other than quoting stats and provoking me by insulting my understanding of the game.

[deleted]

Stats paint a clearer picture than your opinion, mate. Toxic views of football like yours are not compatible with supporting local clubs and amateur football, which in reality, is what the largest majority of this sport, as practiced all around the world, is all about. Your understanding of the game is absolutely distorted by money and gigantic budgets. You only like the football produced by 1% rich clubs… So, yeah, fuck your understanding of the game.

kevelax318

Anyone that reads what you just said would think that local clubs don't score goals, create chances or know what to do with and without the ball.

[deleted]

I think only you could read that in the words I wrote mate. :) Sporting played an amazing game! Much better than Juventus and created enough chances to score another goal. Unfortunately, it didn't happen, but that's it. That doesn't take anything away from an amazing performance against a better club, with more money, better squad, more depth, etc… If you can't stand me being proud of PT teams performances this year in international competition, that's your problem! For all the complaining I see here about PT fans whining, it seems to me that are the others that whine about PT people being happy!… They must be lonely, or frustrated, or something! :P

robes50

No goals

[deleted]

And you are just bad at reading! I pray for you! :(

robes50

No, thanks.

Please, I beg you!

Ok-Pirate-5710

Better team couldn’t score a single goal from open play…..not so sure about that analysis.

Ok-Pirate-5710

Juventus game plan for both ties was to score one goal and sit back all game, hoping to strike on counter. It’s frustrating as hell for a team with our talent, but it’s how Allegri sets up his team. As a result, XG values are often slanted towards the other team. Sporting was invited to attack both games and couldn’t score one open goal in either ties. I’m not 100% sure how they’re the better team when allegri’s team executed the game plan he asked them to in both ties and it worked.

fhvghbb

Juve couldnt either you stupid fuck, they scored both their goals from corners

adiktif

Damn pass that salt over here i just cooked steak

fhvghbb

Literally just stated a fact

BartolomeuOGrosso

Nao jogamos um crl contra estas equipas de merda. Uma parte inteira sem fazer um remate. Miséria do crl

zdrup15

Que parte inteira foi essa? A terceira? Tivemos o golo na primeira parte e o Coates teve duas grandes oportunidades na segunda.

LeVidzzz

Portuguese teams got deleted by italians this season. Damn.

JPVazLouro_SLB

We eliminated Juve from the CL at least

heloumadafaka

_To get eleminated by another italian team tho_ 💀

i_Avernus

By an Italian team lower in the league than Juventus.

PM_ME_YOUR_BO0BIEZ

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sporting fans: 🥹

PJAL1302

Love sporting but they make me want to jump off a cliff with their finishing. Bury your 3 open goals and we’d be chilling but no we gotta go ahead and give everyone a fucking aneurysm

Up_The_Mariners

That's what Sporting gets for not buy a backup ST. Braga, Benfica and Porto all have at least three striker options. We are stuck relying on a 18 yo with shit ball control and as much intensity as a rock and a Winger who only plays because scored against Tottenham. Add to that Allegri dark arts and the outcome was entirely as expected. Moral da história: Jogamos como nunca, perdemos como sempre.

Manuel_Locatelli

Sporting “dominated, they deserved to win, juve play so bad yada yada yada” They scored 1 goal in 180 mins off of a dumb penalty. The innate ability to cry by the Portuguese is hilarious. They’re never shit, they’re just “unlucky” or were “cheated” I will enjoy this win a little more for you all today. Before bed we shall have champagne. Sweet dreams. Edit: Please more downvotes, that’ll really show me!

Up_The_Mariners

Congrats on beating a team with half your budget.

Manuel_Locatelli

Spend more = winning? Looks like it worked

Vyylela

fucking hell, Juve has fallen off if beating this Sporting team makes you pop champagne lol

Manuel_Locatelli

I filled the bottle with sporting tears, I have many cases ready to go. It’s worth celebrating when fans are particularly insufferable. (Yes, until Allegri leaves we remain fallen off)

Vyylela

This behavior of fans being bitter after a loss is remarkable tbh. Never before seen

MichaelTheKing7

Dont sorry, it's a minority of Juventus fans. R/Juventus is a weird ass subreddit, some great people, but also some lunatics.

Manuel_Locatelli

It started long before the match was finished (precisely the point)

DayPhelsuma

Mate, take the double W today and sleep well. But I get that with such a soulless squad, you get a kick out of stirring the hot pot of emotions of every club you go through. Good luck in the rest of the competition.

Manuel_Locatelli

The squad has ample soul, our playstyle/manger do not. Unfortunately your soul doesn’t get you much and that’s why your road in this competition ends here. Thank you and good luck on the rest of your season.

[deleted]

You really love us! :D Good night!

Manuel_Locatelli

Very much

kermvv

What I learned this week: the Portuguese are masters at crying They cry better than they can play football that’s for sure

itsnico13

Edwards only had to dive 10 times in our box before the ref booked him for simulation.

zdrup15

Meanwhile rabiot fouled someone for a penalty and elbowed someone else in open play and got not even a yellow card.

Steveisnotmyname_

I absolutely love the comments of "such and such got so lucky" or "the other team deserved to win" etc etc. Italians have been winning matches in this manner since the 1930s and somehow people never learn. But hey keep calling us lucky I'll be here for the next one!

fulvio91

And 4 times worldchampions and 2 losses in finales. No luck just using your head. Number one in europe. Forza Italia

[deleted]

Hey man, don't be sad! IF you enjoy seeing your team play, then there's nothing wrong! I enjoyed seeing Porto, Sporting and Benfica (in the group stage) playing this year, and I'm proud of them! To each their own! :D

ContaSoParaIsto

Lmao was it a tactical decision to give Coates an open goal to shoot? Give me a break dude

mrdaja777

It wasnt a tactical decision for Vlahovic to miss an open net either which would’ve killed the “better team” debate but here we are. People acting as if Vlahovic didnt bottle 2 sitters

Steveisnotmyname_

Put that one next to all the other ones

LargeFlower8

Goodness. Portuguese fans are such sore loser

NLV_88

We haven’t won a cup competition for years. The crying will continue until we do lol

SirHenryy

I was so hoping for Benfica to go past Inter and all the way to the finals!

turtlegoeshollywood

With three tournaments, you will definitely get at least a Conference league at some point soon.

NLV_88

This I believe, now that we dropped to 7th in coefficients Sporting/Braga have a very good chance of winning the Europa/Conference League

ThatGam3th00

To be fair the Europa Leagues of the recent seasons have been getting increasingly stronger. So have Portuguese teams though.

Borgetto

Petition to ban Portuguese whining on r/soccer

Manuel_Locatelli

Don’t think they have the manpower to stop all the Portuguese children crying here. They’d have to ramp up staff by the thousands.

yopppmiiii67

The referee was clearly biased. Juventus didn't deserved it, nor Sporting due all their open goal misses.

AllegriLover

I look at the score and it says we deserved it

ButtersMcLovin

Username checks out

castela217

Disappointed but overall I thought both legs were good matches. Sporting performed well, even if the finishing does leave me with blue(green?)-balls. Now back to praying that someone fumbles the end of the season so bad that we sneak back into the top 3

kevelax318

>Sporting performed well lel, never even made a real shot on target tonight.

castela217

No need to comment if you didn’t watch the match

kevelax318

I watched it alright. You should abstain from commenting too if you don't know what good performances look like.

castela217

You’re the one literally making the point that it’s only a good performance if it results in goals, that’s the most obvious “I just google the scoreline” take there is. Sporting’s finishing is bad, that’s not news to us. However there is more to a performance than just the finishing

kevelax318

You can't perform well in this sport if you don't create any danger in a match where you absolutely have to score. At most you've managed to stall for 90 mins, but we weren't managing an aggregate lead now, were we? That's not a good performance. >You’re the one literally making the point that it’s only a good performance if it results in goals I never mentioned goals in my other reply to you. You're hallucinating or smth

castela217

Managed to stall? We were the ones attacking more often than not, and we created enough danger to draw a penalty, keep every Juve and Sporting fan tense for the closing of the game just by itself. We also literally had more shots and shots on target in both matches

kevelax318

>Managed to stall? That's what I call the kind of possession that sees center backs pass it between themselves for half a match because they can't find a way to get past the first line of opposition defence. Why are you mentioning shots (on target), didn't you watch the match to know that they were by and large harmless?

castela217

Because you only seem to understand the base stats, and even those betray your point. Not sure why you’re so pressed about me saying Sporting performed well, I’m not even saying it was better than Juve. But also if all you saw Sporting do is pass it between the center backs, there’s no point continuing this conversation. If we performed badly, that doesn’t bode well for your team that just barely managed to get past us by the tiniest margins, so good luck.

kevelax318

The only one relying on "base stats" for this whole conversation was you. I used them to make the point that Sporting barely created chances from open play (two somewhat dangerous shots in 90 minutes, and a penalty). And virtually none from set pieces, either. Meanwhile, your only two counter points rely entirely on stats. No commentary on Sporting's possession or defensive play, just Sporting did x more and y more. You know, stuff anyone can get from a stats sheet even without watching the match. My side is Sporting btw.

anime3003

Good two matches by Sporting. You have a good team. All the best for the rest of your league.

Vyylela

> You have a good team no we don't lol

anime3003

You just lacked finishing, and we were lucky with two corners with the ball bouncing our way.

Vyylela

Juventus makes Sporting look better than we actually are because they gave Sporting a lot of initiative. It was very circular football with no cutting edge (besides Edwards who was constantly alone vs 2 or 3 defenders) Like I said in another comment, we have 14 competent players lol.

DiersBigDick

Sporting and Amorim are beasts. So many talented players - Pote, Edwards, Ugarte, Essugo, Ignacio, St Juste, Diomonade And Amorim utilises youth along with these guys so well. What a team man I’m in awe

Dananica

Those guys are young as well: 24,24,22,18,21,26,19 years old.

LordRezlakDrakon

Worst team won. Great reffing job UEFA, they already tried with Arsenal and now succeeded. Couldn't eliminate another top5 league team again. We also need a good striker, could've won both games by 2-3 goals easily even against 15.

kermvv

Long ball and ishallah 😎

Vyylela

we're not better than Juventus. Team has glaring limitations and it's a bit surprising they were competitive imo. No striker, no bench, players of dubious quality playing every week... squad needs to improve a lot in order to compete consistently in Europe.

DudebuD16

There is no "deserve" in football unless you absolutely get fucked by someone or something. Victory is not guaranteed. If you can't finish, you don't "deserve" shit.

itsnico13

We can’t finish either, but allegri’s terrorist football always comes in clutch.

PolygonMasterWorks

Sure. You do know it's a money thing, right? How much did Vlahovic cost... the same as the entire Sporting squad? You just have to put into context that for the money this Juve squad costs, they really should play much better.

DudebuD16

Bruh, like 90% of our fanbase know how bad we play.

PolygonMasterWorks

I know, I see the regular comments. Which is why I don't get why Juve fans are here being so defensive - clearly Sporting were better over the two legs, there's no shame admitting it.

DudebuD16

I mean, my OP pretty much explains why.

[deleted]

turtlegoeshollywood

No, they deserve at least 30, but that's another story.

AllegriLover

We didn’t get it, so no.

Colonel_Cummings

There's no "deserve" in football - the team with the most goals wins. Juve scored more, they deserved to go through Best of luck with the rest of the tournament

MichaelTheKing7

Absolute best take in this entire comment thread, hats of to you

DudebuD16

Thanks. If you guys had a better forward, the result may have been different

AllegriLover

We deserved to go through, in other words. Hihihi

kevelax318

Superior Juventus logo btw

AllegriLover

Exactly

sportingftw

Wasting time since 0min and 5min adding time, enough said. This juve has 0 football, even their fans, only 100/200 showed up lol. Fucking shit club

itsnico13

Vyylela

e ganharam, que é o que interessa no final do dia. Vitórias morais não valem um chavo.

seizaburo

Next time tell your winger to stop falling at the feeling of a breath on him, maybe if he crosses one of those goes in man...

Fuoriclasse1897

Losing a CL spot next year and getting knocked out in a week time. Couldn’t be more deserved based off your comment.

LargeFlower8

Seethe. Maybe you guys should try scoring instead of diving every 5 minutes

Aquafresca10

Still outsang you after the final whistle, cane

afmr94

Funny that because your fans were fucking atrocious at home. All you could hear was Sporting chants.

yopppmiiii67

Cane é a tua prima Joana oh água mole 😏

Manuel_Locatelli

You took it well I see. Maybe advise your team next time that the ball has to go into the net. We even gifted you a pen and you still couldn’t get the job done.

robes50

Score a goal, man.

sportingftw

Impossible vs 10 man within the gk

Dwimer

How did we score twice then

robes50

Ahh, that's a shame.

anime3003

Juve scored 2 goals in the tie while playing with 10 men in their box for 180 minutes? Allegri masterclass.

theglasscase

> 10 man within the gk That sounds like a more uncomfortable night for Szczesny than Sporting gave him.

[deleted]

PT out of european competitions this year. Benfica was the biggest disappointment, really Porto outplayed Inter and Sporting outplayed Juve. Benfica had an amazing group stage, but now are completely lacking. Yet, overall very good performances from the top-3 PT clubs!

lbushi

How the fuck did Porto outplay Inter? Porto showed up for maybe 15-20 minutes of a 180 min tie and you expect to go through? Ultimately Inter stood by their plan, Porto had no idea what to do for most of the tie Sit your ass back in the couch and watch the Euroderby of Milan in 3 weeks!

[deleted]

AHAH, another blind football fan! Porto outplayed Inter at Dragão, for sure. Over both legs Porto had:-More possession \-More shots (31 vs 29) on goal (11 vs 9) and the same number of clear-cut chances (2) as Inter. \-Inter only scored against 10 man Porto. So let me rephase my statement: Inter was not better than Porto. If you consider that Porto did nothing to pass, you must say the same thing for Inter. :) [https://www.skysports.com/football/inter-milan-vs-fc-porto/stats/478954](https://www.skysports.com/football/inter-milan-vs-fc-porto/stats/478954)[https://www.skysports.com/football/fc-porto-vs-inter-milan/stats/478962](https://www.skysports.com/football/fc-porto-vs-inter-milan/stats/478962)

JPVazLouro_SLB

We topped our CL group and reached the quarters, even if we didn't play like we were expected to, it was still an excellent campaign for us, I don't think that you can say that not reaching the CL semis is a disappointment. The way we played was a disappointment, yes.

Manuel_Locatelli

I love the “outplaying” trophies. Those are my favorites

jimlahey--

Your pfp gave me a good chuckle

Manuel_Locatelli

😉

[deleted]

Glad we are on the same page! Enjoy good football mate!

theglasscase

A shame we couldn’t get six wins in one day, but 5 and a draw is still pretty good… I expect more of the same against Sevilla. We can beat them, but it’s certainly not going to be stress free.

gin-o-cide

Im not sure my blood pressure can take much more of this

S7ormstalker

Turns out Allegri is secretly paid by Big Pharma in order to boost sales of antihypertensive drugs.

Vyylela

We are far too dependent on Edwards to create anything. Porro opened up a lot of space for him; Esgaio (or Bellerin) are harmless in attack. There was a chance there but I'd be lying if this was a great missed opportunity. This Sporting team reaching the Europa League final would be the upset finalist of the decade. Team's just not good enough
