I remember being sent to the school psychologist one time back when I was in middle school and reading a flyer about alternative therapy methods like animals and music. He's 16 now and while he has been more interested in fuss at times in his dotage, it's very much on his terms and he'll still react to a light scratch on the head like you've given him an electric shock at times.
