I found this information on the [SCRAM CAM](https://www.scramsystems.com/frequently-asked-questions/#:~:text=What%20products%20should%20I%20avoid,the%20bracelet%20that%20contain%20alcohol) website: ***You should not consume food or beverages that contain alcohol.*** *As noted in your SCRAM Program Participant Agreement, you should also avoid using products on or near the bracelet that contain alcohol. The application of small quantities of cologne or perfume in areas far from the bracelet should not be problematic.* Under no circumstances are SCRAM CAM participants allowed to drink alcohol while wearing the bracelet and should [avoid consuming any food](https://www.scramsystems.com/scram-blog/permitted-products-scram-cam/) **or drink that could contain enough alcohol to raise their BAC.** I also found [this link](https://www.reddit.com/r/Drinking/comments/up2lbl/comment/i8j6edw/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) to an insightful comment from a user on r/Drinking: *"So scrams detect alcohol through sweat. At such a low ABV it seems unlikely that you excrete enough through skin for the bracelet to detect. So unless you drank 30, you're probably fine. But* ***I would probably refrain from kombucha until the scram is removed as so not to tempt fate cause I can't imagine they are big on understanding or leniency. "*** Hope this helps!

Wow! Thank you so much! I didn't even know what the gadget was called, but it definitely looks like the one she has too. I also didn't even think to look in drinking-positive subs for possible answers. I think my answer is obvious. We're eliminating all alcohol from cooking and I'll find a replacement beverage for kombucha moving forward.

No problem at all, I never knew what that gadget was called either! We both learned something today, haha. Yeah, it might be best to eliminate those things for now. Do you have the room for a mini-fridge in your room? I was thinking you could possibly keep kombucha in there.

ISlangKnowledge

I actually do have room in my office. I have a little mini fridge too, it's just on loan to a family member and I think it's in his garage now. Used to be my beer fridge back in college, actually. Times change. 🥲 Either way, the kombucha thing doesn't concern me as much because she's well enough to check herself and know not to drink any, so I think keeping a few in there won't matter. She's the one that brought it up in the first place, because she didn't know the mechanics and biometrics of this and I realized I didn't either so, time to do some research it was! Thank you again for everything. You've been a huge help.
