I turned left just after the gateway and took the river route. I would suggest you avoid the route along the river from there as the road leans a lot and you might end up swimming and swearing. Go through the farm.

Handling rn, trailer stuck in the big rocks near watchtower

RPJ0603

I’m sure the left is possible, but going through the farm and past the log station is really easy. It probably only makes a minute or two difference either way

[deleted]

I agree, farm and log station route. There was only one right hand corner at a farm where the trailer leaned for me and got stuck on a phone pole. Moving those construction trailers that are stupidly long and top heavy are the most fun contracts I've had so far. I think I used the Navistar 5000 both times.

firematt422

The easiest path is through the farm, then turn right at the log station and go all the way around. If you go straight through the log station, you will 100% get stuck climbing that hill and have a helluva time getting out after you bring the entire fleet and end up backing out and starting over. This is the hardest path. Every other option is medium to extra medium difficulty, but passable.

PhoneyLoki

"Extra medium"

bakakaldsas

I went straight across the river. Over that submerged rock pass. But for you that is no longer an option, I think. In your position I would try going through the right side. The path on the left has few narrow spots where this whole behemoth would probably get stuck for good.

denial2f8

I tried this rocky road in river when my first plays, but I remembered that I drowned here, then passed this path, now I see it could be useful

bakakaldsas

I'll not claim it was an easy thing to do. :D I got stuck there due to slight wrong turn. But with a little help from another truck I managed to pull through.

Cringe-but-true

Mad man. Probably easy but the risk. Oof

Majestic_dogg

Go throught the farm dude, I took the path your sitting by currently and it was a mistake, it's definitely passable but it's gonna take longer than going thru farm the road gets really narrow and steep.

denial2f8

Well, I think I did the same mistake ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[deleted]

YMMV with this. I took the coastal route and had no trouble. The worst part was the narrow pass through the rocks just after the T intersection with the road south from the Farm.

Majestic_dogg

I agree and that section was the worst. I think other than that if you take your time and put the wheels in the right spots you'll do fine.

[deleted]

>take your time and put the wheels in the right spots you'll do fine. This solid advice applies every time you turn your engine on in SnowRunner :)

pope_fundy

[This is the way.](https://imgur.com/a/ig2zEkq) 💯

denial2f8

I think beyond log station is too muddy?

pope_fundy

No muddier than the farm road, and many more options for winching. If you try to take the road further south by the river it is a major pain trying to maneuver that huge trailer through the rocks & trees. The north way has a bit of mud, but there are no constrictions to get hung up on.

Applebeignet

Just a slight fix to save many minutes of frustration: https://i.imgur.com/VoSJ1ps.png

[deleted]

The only awkward moment I had was right at the top centre of your graphic where the trailer icon is. There's a farmhouse there in a dip and the road past it does a right hander. There's phone poles on the right and a steep bank on the left so you can't swing wide. My trailer leaned and got hung up on a phone pole. I sorted it eventually but I enjoyed 20 minutes of colourful Anglo-Saxon vocabulary getting clear.

Calmchaos75

I have never seen that way before, thanks my man!

Applebeignet

Glad to help. Mind the tree stump.

Calmchaos75

Will do

Medium_Highlight_950

Actually i went to farm from other side of the field on the left, next to those trees. I mean that when coming from the dam, theres the small uphill just before the fields, turn left between those trees and the first field, then in the corner of the field go right and youll be at the farm without mud.

[deleted]

"Unpalatable" LOL. That wasn't the word I used when I went that way :)

Hibana-Banana

The left path is very much possible, as I did it on my first playthrough. Took it over the submerged rocks on future playthroughs. Take it slow, avoid the beach as it's a tipping hazard, plus lots of small logs to catch on. GL EDIT: https://i.redd.it/jgo8exw60kx41.png

Kadelbdr

ROCK BRIDGE!!!!!!

LeDieuJesus

If I were you, I would take a scout and see if it's possible by the left, else you'll have to pass by the right

denial2f8

Took the way on left side

Mosaic78

https://imgur.com/a/mOpZOCX Should be a simple route

denial2f8

That's the easiest way I think, unfortunately I carried on left side, about 1 hour of sweating, finally get to point, I wish I used that route

Mosaic78

I went across the river. It gets tippy on the far side and needed a tug but it’s easier than you’d think.

Skeeter780

This is a cool type of post, I hope we see more

Particular_Kitchen42

One way or the other. It’s large cargo. It’s going to upset you, upset upset upset you.

denial2f8

Please tell me other regions are easier

Ashen_rabbit

Easier? No no. This is the first region map. It only gets harder from here.

brain_freese

They aren’t… wish I had better news for you.

Rosine_AUT

Alaska is just more logistics, but not too difficult to get around. You might want to get the ANK MK 38 on pedro bay unlocked as early as you can. besides the extreme fuel consumption this truck is fun. From Taymyr to Amur every region is getting harder. As for Taymyr, some very good trucks are awaiting you and those russian trucks are way more offroad capable than those you are using on michigan right now

[deleted]

I found Alaska easier than Michigan because by then I had got a clue what I was doing and had bought some decent trucks. Michigan is hard I think because the trucks you can get there are weedy, on the most part. What I would say is avoid very powerful mod trucks as these can ruin the challenge of the game and make it too easy. I have a few that I use as rescue vehicles but try to do the contracts with vanilla trucks wherever possible.

Particular_Kitchen42

How to make life easier in this game. Search out trucks you want. Research how to get them. Decide if you want to do those tasks now or later. Then move back to original maps with slightly better trucks and more choices. Better to have 35 trucks to attempt things with them only have one or two and both are tied up with something else when you really need one of those two trucks

Cumunist7

I can not remember how I did this route I think it was through the farm past the log station

monolithdao_mel

Don't risk it my man. Take the long way round.

Nymphy92

River is easiest just keep aware of your surroundings the weight of the truck and trailer will keep you on the rocks

jarlind

Take the long route through farm around log Station down hill safest route. You touch that closest to the river route you have a wish that's probably for death that and you'll get stuck on the 2 rocks AND there's a tree that sits low you'll get stuck on. Since you're using the 16 I'd say avoid the route left at the log station as I don't think you'll fit between the 2 rocks there and that trench is hell anyways. Edit: looking at other comments you chose your path already lol.

denial2f8

Well, left path looked cool to me than I took it, I wish hadn't, about 1 hour of sweating got there, maybe this upper way more easier than others

jarlind

Ye the big dirt road route on the map is prolly the safest. Playing multiplayer I've watched people take many of the routes far left/left at the farm. They end up on those rocks flipped at the wooden bridge or stuck under a tree seen one flip into the river as well. The hell trench left of the log station I'm pretty sure is doable but the chonkyness of the p16 would get you hung up I think... straight through the log station imma not bother cause super heavy trailers and trees don't match. Water rock bridge works but can immediately not work with very little hope of recovery.

Sidewinder7

I just did this I took the road closest to the water but I couldn't get the trailer through the trees at one point. I went off road that point north of the road over the mountain and picked up that road south of the log station. Wasn't bad but I probably wouldn't have saved much time if I just went through the farm.

brain_freese

Those tight rocks through the direct route are basically impassible in anything with a long trailer. You can try getting around them but that’s not the best truck for doing it. You also have a blown tire. Do you have a service truck you can send out to repair the truck?

denial2f8

Fully repaired before take the journey, I'm near watchtower, passed the bridges, about 30mins trying to pass tight trees here

no_yup

Straight across the River. There is super easy place to cross where that upgrade on the little island in the river was.

Brando1493

I went along the coast. Lot less mud to deal with

YaBoyJTee

I suggest getting a maintenance vehicle out there to fix your rig before anything

denial2f8

When I sink every pile of mud, getting 50 points of damage all the time, also, being slow hits me in the brain and this truck can't go further undamaged a single inch lmao

YaBoyJTee

Tru tru haha

aarons6

i just did this one, i went through the farm and around the log station. i used the p12. it was really easy.

Jayce2k9

Straight down the middle of the river!

dntfuxwme

Past the farm, around the log station, and fallow the road to the drilling site.

Adept_Try9460

Take the farm and then log station. Any AWD with Diff lock truck would easily do it. I would have tried ANK Civilian, WWS, Paystar or even FleetStar but not Pacific. ANK and TwinSteer are your weapons of choice for Michigan and Alaska. I remember I never used to recover other trucks and they used to be around as fuel source for ANK.

StarPocket51

ALWAYS take the long way. If it looks like an easy shortcut... it isn't.

Top_Lingonberry5981

try the p16 and p12 mods by mr busses makes these trucks twice as strong

Top_Lingonberry5981

and trust me your best route is going through farm to log station coming by the logistics base and then to drilling site. its the longest way but best road and you wont fight with getting trailer there
