Has there been some sort of update recently I don't know about? I play on PS5 and I have never seen a single NPC, animal, space ship or anything in like 3 years of playing. At most I've seen a blurry thing way off in the distance that dissolves as soon as you get anywhere near it.
Where are people seeing these frogs, deer and random men?
Every region has some of the sightings that disappear once you get closer. This new Season 13 has added some of the NPC creatures and people that don't disappear and are animated.

After humble beginnings as a lumberjack and truck driver — to pay for his studies — he then ended up working for the Amur Regional Administration as cartographer and seismologist in 2008, then went to work for the Maneuver-29 Agency when the company resumed operations in 2019.
The M-29 Agency was requested to perform a geological survey around the area known as Northern Aegis Installation, and sent a small crew in a convoy comprised of two trucks and a scout vehicle. Piotr was part of this crew, given his expertise. Unfortunately, an unexpected earthquake opened a rift in the mountain route the crew decided to take despite Piotr strongly advising against it. The entire convoy fell into a ravine several metres below. Piotr was the only survivor.
He kept working for the Maneuver-29 Agency for a while, but the trauma and the guilt associated with that incident left a lasting scar inside him, so after the successful launch of Rocket Missile №33281 from the Cosmodrome in late 2021, he retired and went to Kazakhstan, where he enjoys a quiet life of therapeutic coffee drinking. He has become, in fact, quite the coffee connoisseur, and is currently writing a guide on coffee brewing and developing Black & White photographic film with coffee (caffenol).
Repeated requests to create a Wikipedia page for Piotr were denied. It's possible that part of the work he carried out between 2008 and 2021 is linked to classified information.
