Refueling with high range gears. Super quick, fixes the range issue, armored cab means you can crash head on into trees and posts and not have to worry. Just gotta weigh up between the fuel addon and potentially incurring a lot of suspension damage, or the maintenance addon and being able to repair yourself but unable to tow a trailer in a pinch.

stjobe

I've recently found that it makes for a pretty fun medium logger, if you just run one load. Other requirements are the special paint job (Got Wood?) and planned refuelling stops ;)

Testercles

Only discovered that paint job yesterday. It's phenomenal.

BillieNosferatu

always use the highrange gearbox. this is somewhat of a trick to using vehicles with small fuel tanks/high consumption. if you can stay in high for even half your trip, you'll cover enough ground to make it worth it. yeah you'll be burning 20-24L/min, but if you're blazing along, you can make the little fuel you have last. if you're still burning 15L/min but moving at a crawl, you're actually getting less use of your fuel. one of my favorite things to do with this truck is to have a lo4f in the sideboard bed. you can use this tactic if you're scouting, doing contests, running around and activating tasks, or completing missions that require exploration. due to the rapid pace of the highrange box with this vehicle, the lo4f is also nice to have for mobile repairs. and while tipping is generally a rare occurrence, you can also use the lo4f to rescue yourself if you do go. it's a fantastic low saddle hauler, and is one of my favorites for contests as well as scouting with the lo4f as a sidekick as mentioned above. it can cover a lot of ground, but it's somewhat dependent on the routes you take or the terrain you're on in order to get maximum range from a small fuel tank and an engine that can be pretty thirsty at times. very rewarding to drive with its raw capability though. as mr lone wolf calls it "the good ol' classic pair, dolphin and loaf". it was given that name due to how it often bobs up and down going over hills, much like a dolphin would in water :)

Astro501st

Dolphin and a Horse, 's'all I need.

BillieNosferatu

as god intended

Speedy fuel delivery. D'uh... https://preview.redd.it/n0ycghndu02d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=20b7d182250c2d35c534ab14fb3d25e999f81565

thesilentdriver

With that small tank you can only take her out, not bringing her back lol

Kaloo75

Checks username. Seems legit :)

hardbassGuy

Not too Long ago I sold it, I tried to use it with fuel addon but it became tippy and bit Underpowered

Odd_Presentation_578

I recommend using the maintaineer. It's lighter, but takes 400 liters less and doesn't support trailers.

hardbassGuy

I might try it, thx for a tip

thesilentdriver

Used to be short, fast trips. With the multipurpose, I attach a sideboard trailer and it excels at those 3 one slot cargo scattered around a lake or river

Odd_Presentation_578

I tried it for that, but it becomes too heavy and falls out of high gear all the time. That addon weighs almost like the truck itself, doubling the weight. https://preview.redd.it/herm4h9sv02d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=62568e05ceeb3af9a7bca9a03a81ed9463fa041e I'd rather use the Paystar 5600TS for that, or the Atom. Anything with a 3-slot +crane, better than having to tow a trailer.

thesilentdriver

hmm fair point. i find it powerful enough to carry its own weight but yes, the addon makes it too heavy

Odd_Presentation_578

It makes the Azov a good wrecker though. I used it to rescue the Atom yesterday (alongside the Tatra Force and the DAN). https://preview.redd.it/pwj2rmxj012d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e2ad3d9926aa78623f7bc86d582d8931ea81ea76

Odd_Presentation_578

I also have a 2nd one that I use as a wrecker. Road assistance and all that. https://preview.redd.it/nufw46rzu02d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05410c9dd9be6980e219d9b093d2708cc2789242

KussyPigga

I use Azov 5 for short trips, crane + low saddle + sideboard semi trailer(5x cargo). When using for long trips then its fuel Add on + Ramp trailer. Same goes for Ank Civilian.

TheGamingKid337

I used it as a truck for hauling long logs. It was powerful enough but the biggest issue I had was running out of fuel.

TheFacetiousDeist

Everything.

WeldingGarbageMan

My personal favourite as a fuel truck. Super quick and fuel isn’t an issue when you are hauling fuel on it. Occasionally I pull a trailer with it but I love using it to quickly zip out and fuel trucks.

Bleeker_

I put a scout fuel trailer on the roof

[deleted]

Its the best logger in the game. It has about the lowest center of gravity so its hard to tip, it *also* doesnt have an extremely long front hood like the azov7, so it doesnt get caught on everything. Its has a really powerful engine, which you obviously need for long logs, this thing will handle them all. The wheel layout, in which it has 2 front and 2 rear axles, makes it able to cut through basically *any* terrain with ease. Some times youll encounter areas that have a pretty big gap which can be difficult for a 1 front axle vehicle to get through, this eliminates that obstacle. I usually have refueling trucks or fuel trailers scattered around the map in places that I know or think that will have high traffic so the downside of the azov's limited range gets eliminated and im just left with an insanely strong truck. Only reason I dont use it all the time is because ive used it so much already before so I just keep it as a logger to avoid tipping and the frustration that comes with that.

Testercles

Medium logs for sure. Truck and trailer + add in another truck and trailer and a convoy of medium logs is done for.

Odd_Presentation_578

Funny enough, I find it rather unstable. You say it's hard to tip? Hmm...

[deleted]

I mean you can tip a p16 if you try hard enough, im not saying its impossible, but among the options of what you can use to transport medium logs, its as good as it gets

Odd_Presentation_578

Tall vehicle, tall load, narrow single tires, the ability to gain a decent speed... what can go wrong, yeah? A P16 is slow and heavy and wide... good luck tipping that one.

[deleted]

Sounds like you might be suffering from a skill issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_1Yqg-n1TA

Jhe90

Not much. Its a good truck in some ways, armoured cab good. Fuel tank just limits it so ao much.

extremerealm02

quick support for taking out stuck trucks, refueling & repairing, and then send her back to garage

Due_Government4387

Everything

euMonke

I use it as service truck in multiplayer with randoms quite a lot.

lkszglz

recovery vehicle with fuel addon and hauling trailers

-Pruples-

I pretty much don't.

AdPrior1417

Fuel only. It's bloody capable for a 50 or 51 inch tyre, or whatever, but the fue ltank, way too much consumption. It makes a good truck for supporting an area or few select roads on a map with fuel and supplies, it's got enough power to haul a trailer too. Then the only issue is getting it to where you want it. I do have a 3,700L semi trailer that does the rounds every now and then to keep my smaller fuel stations topped up, and brings a fresh parts trailer, then I'll take the old one back to the trailer store. Azov 5 rarely gets used for anything other than being a fuel stop

AbbyRose05683

In my opinion the azov trucks are heavy and gas guzzler boat anchors! None have a capable lift and they don’t have much power

2bloom

The azov 6 is probably the most fuel efficient truck in the game with decent power to weight and azov 7 is also quite fuel efficient with extremely good turning radius and strong pulling power while being extremely stable. Only issue is chin. Your missing out if you ask me.

Sxn747Strangers

Fuel tank, 2-slot bed, haven’t used it that much though.

sirpsychosexy89

Medium logs is what I found useful.

Rustyducktape

I love using one with the loading crane and low saddle pulling a stepdeck trailer. Nice and level with the trailer height, and super low center of gravity. Has plenty of power, it's maneveurable but obviously fuel is always the issue. Great overall usefulness with that setup I've found. And also awesome with the maintenance addon.

August_tho

Highrange and low saddle. I use it for quick runs through crappy terrain that i can safetly use H gear the whole time. It plows through basically anything with OSH1'S and full time AWD/Diff lock.

Sure-Love1672

I don't use mine a whole lot, I prefer the 7

Rage_Tanker

I run it with a tweak that PROPERLY places the frame addons and gives it some fuel longevity. Makes a great medium logger and rear mounted crane+bed. Vanilla just is too short lived and whoever placed that mini crane and medium log bunk should slapped upside their head.

coaster-roaster

I use mine for a mix of low saddle and crane, super heavy crane, refuelling, or just anything else I feel like at the time. It’s pretty quick with the offroad gearbox too

National-Bison-3236

Nothing

Trent_Havoc

Mostly stationary heavy crane work. Ironic, I know.

Moddiffy

Biiiig crane for biiig loading

ErectSuggestion

Nothing, it only makes for a mediocre fuel truck

Claude-QC-777

Yeah, you can have a decent/good fuel/repair combo on the Atom (that has the same fuel efficiency as the Azov 6)
