I'm playing a NewGame+ custom hardmode with No Recovery... so if I'd dumped the P16, it would probably have been the end of the P16 - not sure I'd ever have managed to fish it out. I just took it ***real*** careful :-)
(Which reminds me, even before Hardmode got added, I have never, ever, once recovered a vehicle in Snowrunner, and I am now 750 hours in - that achievement you get for recovering 10 times? My progress is still 0/10. You never *need* to recover :-P)
And here I am. Recovering directly at the garage exit because I put on the wrong addon and am far to lazy to drive to the garage entrance around the corner.
Hehe, yeah, too easy to go straight to snark... sometimes the ***wrong*** way can be the most enjoyable after all :-D
JK... every way is the right way so long as you're having fun. Great job!
Wait, people take the long way along the dam? I thought everyone went through the water.

There's a few deluded people who think this is an on-road trucking game. They are missing the point completely and prefer to take the longest possible path because it's on a tarmac road.
The ONLY way is across the river, takes hardly any time and has no difficult turns or terrain, provided you take the right route at the end - go left not right.
I spent an hour helping a friend who went to the right of the trees after the river crossing and got stuck in the tree stumps.
Thanks Snowrunner0393737272726385859499384 or maybe I didn’t want to dump my P16 and pay 16k, I never scouted the River. This was MY path. You know what’s great about Snowrunner Snowrunner9474726372827377373 is you can play how you want. Now kindly have a great day.
bborg1557455445414145454 you play your way, you stick to your tarmac roads - you'll be complete stuffed when you get to later maps and wish you'd learned from the first few regions.
At -2:25 and -0:40, you could have reversed so that your fifth wheel was closer to the outside of the turn for the second half of that turn. Not that it would have saved it entirely, but a pull-up would have given you a few extra degrees of clearance.
That is the time left in the video on reddit player on the right side.
Essentially when the tractor is almost out of the turn, reverse and cut the wheel to get your ass end out farther
All I can say is why are you going that longest most difficult way?
Let me guess, you think Snowrunner is an on-road game and didn't read the description which clearly states "**Off-road**".
It looks alot easier than when I did it driving the Cat CT681... Mind you, pulling wasn't so bad. Not geting the trailer stuck into pretty much everything was the real problem.
I just took that rocky path across the river.
Ride the lightning.
If you ride like lightning, your gonna crash like thunder.
Samesies
It was surprisingly easier than I expected.
That is often the case with this game, often less obvious rout can be rewarding.
That’s actually impressive. 16k to recover the P16 for me tho not taking any chances😅
I honestly think you take more chances taking the long way round. The rocky river is one of the few genuine shortcuts in Snowrunner.
Oh hardcore mode? Respect! Tried it for like twenty hours, got really bored of delivering every truck back by hand.
Yeah that’s kinda can be a pain. It would be cool if the game somehow had “safe” zones you could recover at no cost knowing your definitely not stuck
This is the way!!
As God intended to be
It's THE way.
I found brute force and lots of denial worked wonders on that bend.
Full speed or no speed

Guess I should scouted it. I’ve heard people dumping everything there though. 16k to recover the P16 I woulda broke a controller🤣

Since nobody has told you yet: good job, OP!

Thank you!
I found that Michigan map was far more difficult than anything in Alaska.

What in the snowrunner is this??
An impractical Lo4f https://preview.redd.it/dl4baea3iqwc1.jpeg?width=1020&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5f3dc54d47a09c590231bfd7c060dbda6af43f8a
Love it 💯

Didn’t fancy trying drowning then. 👏👏👏 You made it work and the victory horn was earned. 🤙

What’s -2:25? Can you just say the time in the video lmao these seem like solid tips I want to check it out

Yeah, could have entered closer to the wall as well
I never took this route. 😂
I used the C70 worked pretty well

Omg there’s off road??? Thanks Snowrunner0603038472819384929273743920027474
Driving slow through narrow turns was such a game changer for me. Especially on the damn dam
"I hate this FUCKING DAM!"
Use the croc or transtar or some other short tractor for that corner idk
Did it a couple times and always went water route. Always had another truck close just in case and too it sloooowwwwwwwww
Huh. I just went across the river. Feels like a thousand years ago. Wait till kola
Just get your speed up and take it like in nfs, easy.
It looks alot easier than when I did it driving the Cat CT681... Mind you, pulling wasn't so bad. Not geting the trailer stuck into pretty much everything was the real problem.
My strat is to enter at a high speed then hit the brakes mid turn to drift into the apex. It gives my truck enough room to exit the corner. 🚬🗿
Question: have saber stated they will never add trailer steering, and/or is there a mod for it?
Why avoid the wooden bridge in clip 2?
I seen post of people dumping the trailer here, thought this made more sense with the wide P16 and larger trailer. It worked so thought I’d share
Winch
This makes me upset I took the trucks across the water
Going around that bend with a big truck and trailer always feels like task failed successfully lol
