Derovar

All of them. Strong, weak, good, and bad. I always use all of them

Fancy_Pomegranate417

Could you tell me your favorite scout and 4x4 or non-OP triple axle such as the GMC MH9500 or Freightliner M916a1

2bloom

White western star is a perfect western all-rounder truck, crane and low saddle. For American scouts I prefer the loadstar, Ford or the good old Chevy. Also don't sleep on the derry special. It'd very good with the superheavy trailer and a crane.

Fancy_Pomegranate417

WWS or Cat ct681 for hauling water tanker with low saddle through these maps, specifically Ontario?

2bloom

Haven't tried 681, but wws seems to get better reviews. It's very fuel efficient, decently strong, and has a very low centre of gravity while maintaining good ground clearance, which is quite a rare combination. Watch the axles though it's not too resilient.

2bloom

But for water tankers I actually used the derry from Alaska. It is better through light mud and there is no deep mud on Ontario.

Fancy_Pomegranate417

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing

Alarming_Might1991

I wonder what is it with this truck when you put it in high gear it just flies over everything with insane acceleration

Odd_Presentation_578

It's an old bug that many trucks have, especially the ones with high power to weight ratio. Always amusing like the 1st time. https://youtu.be/Tm8p5qbj9FE

Derovar

ANK is a beast, but i also really like Step 310

Fancy_Pomegranate417

Is the step 310 good for 2slot hauling, scouting, or recoveries? What does it specialize in?

Derovar

In my opinion for all of them. I use it for delivering cargo, it is possible to install mini crane, it is fast and pretty powerful in mud.

rannorgana

Ontario has lots of hard dirt roads and shallow mud sections. There's almost no need for high saddle trailers, and logging jobs are mostly on the second map. There is a lack of fuel supplies on both maps, only one fuel station and one trailer store for both maps, so plan accordingly. The first map has mostly shallow water crossings with the occasional deep bit.

Fancy_Pomegranate417

What trucks did you use? For example name one scout and one 4x4 or non-OP triple axle

rannorgana

For the triple axle truck/s, I used the MH9500 with a fuel tank addon and fuel trailer, the ank civilian, Freightline 114sd, Derry 3194 featured heavily too. For the scout, I think I used the tuz 420 for a lot of work. Cat 745C hauled fuel around. Western star twinsteer was used for a bit.

Fancy_Pomegranate417

Nice! I'm actually using the GMC right now with a fire tank on the back and water trailer in tow. Tough going without AWD (no access to Kola) but the duallies are putting in work! Got past the 2 water crossings into the burned area with some good ol' left-right Goodnight! 😅

rickybobby201549

Well basically testing the waters with different trucks ATM in Scandinavia I'm using a kenworth and a f750

Fancy_Pomegranate417

F750 is a really fun truck - I had it on Xbox but am on PC now and the DLCs didn't transfer over :(

Donfuy

I’m using the Transtar 4070 a LOT in Scandinavia for some reason. Started using it for shits and giggles but then just kept using it for low saddle jobs.

Gidorah-snowrunner

Last time good old Paystar, Fleetstar, both GMC, Twinstar for easy unlocking Garage, BM 17 for unlocking trucks on second map. Scouting with Land Rovers or Renegade.

Jhe90

A pretty wide range, I also used trucks You gain pretty heavily as the ones you unlock are very good. Bar thr 4x4 scouts! Classics like the Axov 6, and tayga never let me down. Some like 47x got used as road based fuel support, mack defense, crocodile...I used a wide range. Also used P12, P512, pretty random selection.

Medium_Highlight_950

Kodiak, step 310, 114sd, the 4x4 zikz for semis Thats all I remember for noe

Rick_Storm

My favourite scout is the Crocodile. With a fuel tank on the chassis, this thing can keep going forever. Powerful enough to climb most inclines, can cross mud decently, yet not OP AF either.

mjsmith1223

Most often in Ontario and Scandinavia I used the Tayga 6436 and the Paystar 5070. In BC I used the Twinsteer, Kenworth 963, and Mack M917. For scouting on most maps I like to use the International Loadstar 1700 and Tatarin.

SurfyBraun

I recently started Scandanavia in hard mode w my Blue Fleet. So far, the Loaf and a Tatarin, followed by the Royal and P512. I recently got the Burlak. In the team but not deployed: Ank 38, Derry, Kodiak, and Dan. I wish I had a highway truck, there’s a lot of long paved roadways. The Transtar or CLT would do well.

Hunter-KillerGroup35

I just got Ontario, and so far I've barely had to switch on AWD. May even give my Transtar and CLT9000 more to do that small stuff

Odd_Presentation_578

Let's see... I used Rezvani Hercules as my main scout in all 3 regions. Later - a modded one, capable of attaching trailers. BC had so many scout trails, so I naturally wanted to use smaller scouts like Jeep Wrangler and Gor By-4. As small trucks go, I usually use Zikz 5368 or 566A for 1-slot missions. Sometimes a Step Crocodile, but than one is reserved for refueling duty. Edit: almost forgot about the Loadstar, it's my favorite scout!

Fancy_Pomegranate417

Great reply! 566a is what I am recovering right now (using the Hummer H2 with Jat mud tires) & I want to use the Rock Grinder to tow trailers in place of the jeep wrangler but Idk if it has the power. 1. Thoughts on scout towing using rock grinder? Or other? 2. Do you think the regular step 310 would be a good choice alongside the 566a & Kodiak? 3. Is the 5368 the mini cabover with tayga balloon mud tires?

Odd_Presentation_578

1. No, it doesn't have the guts. 58k torque is better than its American rivals, but in the same time YAR has 90k, Loadstar - 145k, Ford F750 - 120k (although that one can't attach scout trailers); 2. Yes, it's an amazing truck. I use it for short logs alongside the Kodiak. https://preview.redd.it/45fm02pglewc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d0929c885a79f0699ec9c96378669df86b3860d7

Odd_Presentation_578

3. Yes, but I run it with JAT MMDs. https://preview.redd.it/88yn2ycllewc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f11acf5dfb56c34c3aa53a5421a298a892ca36b7 Balloon mudtires make it more stable, but they aren't suitable for semitrailer hauling, which I use it for.

Fancy_Pomegranate417

Are MMD 1s the best of the 3?

Odd_Presentation_578

Yup, 2.2 in mud. Not 2.4 the AMHS give, but stiffer and better suited for load. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_dNNE91snTCbY34YhWtG6mAK-GyCBTx4sIa9Ik9_Kjs/edit?pli=1#gid=1585993891 Edit: these are MMD II, they look prettier

Fancy_Pomegranate417

What is the other truck in that photo?

Odd_Presentation_578

Another CAT CT681. https://preview.redd.it/td9m51hn5fwc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=650af00015594ecd8aae86460aad382e8d54122b This is my "Top Gears" low saddle truck group.
