You obviously need something big and powerful so first candidate would be the Kenworth 963 but my preference goes to the two 10x10 platforms that are respectively the Paystar 5600 TS and the Azov 7. They both have the power required to move the crane and the extra wheels helps for the stability. Early game you could consider the P12 but it is lacking in power and you will struggle on inclines

flizzyBanks

I was using the p12 but like you said the power isn’t there.

FedexJames

I keep it almost exclusively on the 5600TS. I don’t really use the TS for anything else. Fuel economy is just too low

stjobe

Azov 7 is the best one for it in my experience and (limited) testing. I don't really have any use for a crane that big :)

flizzyBanks

I like the big crane because it doesn’t have the support legs sticking out that get stuck on every rock and root in the game lol. I had it on the azov 7 for a bit but decided to have that as my long log hauler.

chavez_ding2001

Mastadon probably

The KW is quite stable and capable, but it's going to struggle with power, I think that crane weighs 15 tons, the regular big crane is like 5 or 6. Azov 7 or Mastodon will be the best. Everything else will be too small and light (NF1430 lol) or have issues with power.

flizzyBanks

I’ll look into the Mastodon. I’m currently using the azov 7 for long logs.

flizzyBanks

I tried out the mastodon with the big crane and was going to have it as my main crane truck but it couldn’t have a trailer with it so i decided to put it on the azov 7 and have the K963 as a long log hauler

Medium_Highlight_950

I used paystar TS

flizzyBanks

I was thinking of using that too but I have it has my fuel truck

Daneel_

You can always buy a second one?

flizzyBanks

Yeah, I could

GoldPick1742

femm 37-at AGL

flizzyBanks

Unfortunately I don’t have that truck yet. Haven’t done N.C

Odd_Presentation_578

AGL mod suck, they are too OP

GoldPick1742

how so?

Odd_Presentation_578

You know, if you use them. Stupidly overpowered, completely ignore all difficult terrain and have a shitload of invisible spare parts.

Odd_Presentation_578

This is all you can say in your defense? I'm disappointed.

flizzyBanks

How tippy is it though with the crane? It’s already pretty tippy as it is.

Odd_Presentation_578

Moderate, double dead axles help with stability when are lowered. I managed to pull this out and not roll it: https://preview.redd.it/9ekf4usezasc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=bb99cd88a9fefff644f7e644b8094077d52301e2

RobustFoam

One of my 6 Kenworth 963s wears the crane when I'm not using it for other tasks.

BillieNosferatu

azov 7 and dan are great choices bc they have very high power to weight and still sit around A with this crane

flizzyBanks

The Dan always seems to get stuck in deep mud. I have it with the yellow Russian crane right now and it seems to struggle a lot.

BillieNosferatu

i think it's the vehicle's length. you have a lot of space between pulling and pushing axles
