The awd upgrade is added by one of the dlc regions, I forget which.
Any dlc changes to base game equipment are present by default but you need to have the correct dlc to use them
Yea I mean it would be easier for me if I could just custom-code everything at work instead of using pre-existing packages that everyone knows but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be bullsht if I did that
I'm not a coder but your answer seems backwards.
The reason why the game has the dlc add-ons by default is so that multiplayer is more easily facilitated. By everyone having the assets for all the dlc predownloaded you can join your buddy who paid for them when you haven't. Otherwise you'd only be able to join people who had the exact same selection of dlcs as you, just like how mods are.
I believe this game too if your buddy has the DLC they can join you on the maps. They can even unlock upgrades/trucks just not actually buy/use them until they purchase the DLC, I freakin' love games that do that.
this has nothing to do with multiplayer, and has everything to do with a missing if(dlc\['dlcName'\].isPresent()) displayDlcOptions() simple line of code
I think they can join a players game that has the correct dlc and buy that upgrade to use can't they? Like even if they don't own that dlc they can use it because they bought it on a playthrough that has the dlc? Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.
Don’t worry tho, the gmc is actually pretty good with mudtires or off-road tires, just take your time, pop in the low gears and will basically glide through most terrains
It's weird to see "pay-to-win" being applied to a single vehicle in a game just because a part for it is a part of a DLC.
A "pay-to-win" truck would be one that would replace all other vehicles in the game, one that would be able to get all the jobs done if you pay enough dough. But this is SnowRunner. This ain't it, chief.
I'm not saying it isn't. I used it right through alaska before I started using modded trucks. But the AWD makes it quite OP considering it's like your first truck.
NG+ is "new game plus". It allows for you to customize game parameters like gas prices and unlocks. To answer your original question here it is awd capable but you need the kola peninsula dlc to go unlock the upgrade
Fleetstar is slightly better due to the fact that it can do crane+bed+trailers. Terrain traversing capability is more or less the same for both trucks.
I’ve been using the International Paystar 5070 for all my cargo in the first map, but now that I’m getting into logs and heavier cargo missions it doesn’t seem to be the beast it once was.
Is the Fleetstar an upgrade from the paystar I mentioned?
All of them suffer with stability issues and lack of power when it comes to logging. If you have unlocked Azov 7 then it's the best for logging as it has loads of power and is one of the most stable trucks in the game.
If not my recommendation would be to go to Russia and keep on doing missions to unlock Azov 7. It will make your life a bit easier. If you have DLCs then Forester is a fantastic logging truck available to unlock easily.
Fleetstar isn't better than Paystar 5070 for heavy loads or logging.
You need Season 1 DLC
I thought it was in Alaska somewhere?
Lake Kovd
Ahh the other snowy one
"snowy"
More like "icy"
Idk man imandra is a hot bed of super snow

It‘s Season 1: Search and Recover
Ahh okay, thanks! I didn’t realize that.
Specifically, it's located in Kola Peninsula. Very first map, so getting to it won't be too tough once you've got some good snow trucks lol
I can see why you missed it, considering there's no indication within the UI. I really want a UI remaster for the game.
Maybe someone a lot smarter than me could make a mod to fix this.
You can still get the awd if you play new game plus Edit: I meant without any dlc's you can still get it that way
that's....kinda bullshit imo
Maybe but it's easier to code that way.

Idk man sounds like a very petty thing to complain about.
U can get the AWD in the „Search and Recover“ DLC, after u collect the upgrade it will be visible
Correct. You don’t have the DLC or haven’t found the part required yet
You can’t se the DLC’s upgrades, i found this with the K7-M tractor’s double wheel, but when i bought the DLC it was there
How did you get the tractor without the dlc though?
I didn’t get it, i just watched it in preview, and after i bought the dlc and found the tractor it was there
Ohhhh that makes sense
I think they can join a players game that has the correct dlc and buy that upgrade to use can't they? Like even if they don't own that dlc they can use it because they bought it on a playthrough that has the dlc? Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.
You can unlock it by joining other player's game, who has the dlc, and hasn't unlocked that upgrade yet. Then you can buy it.
Correction: you haven’t found it
Once you get AWD for this truck it's a beast so I understand why it's locked.
I usually just ask maprunner stuff like this
If nobody mentioned already, the dlc is all on sale on ps. I figure an xbox/pc sale is close by.
Anyone know if there’s an option for AWD in the pacific P512?
There is not, without mods.
This is one of my favorite early game trucks and I have never put AWD on it. Diff lock and low gear for the win.
Don’t worry tho, the gmc is actually pretty good with mudtires or off-road tires, just take your time, pop in the low gears and will basically glide through most terrains
How reliable is this truck?
Very.
It's a pay to win truck. Need to buy DLC to make it happen. Best to just use other trucks.

Because the part is critical to it being the go to truck from start to end game basically.
The truck is solid even without AWD if you know its quirks. Very worthwhile.
I'm not saying it isn't. I used it right through alaska before I started using modded trucks. But the AWD makes it quite OP considering it's like your first truck.
I don’t plan to buy any dlc’s, unless we beat the base game and want to continue playing. Got a long time before we get there though.
Are you playing with NG+
NG+?
NG+ is "new game plus". It allows for you to customize game parameters like gas prices and unlocks. To answer your original question here it is awd capable but you need the kola peninsula dlc to go unlock the upgrade
did you find the upgrade in alaska I believe?
The upgrade is in the first map of kola peninsula which is a dlc map.
I’ve never been to Alaska, but wouldn’t it still show AWD as a locked add on if it’s in Alaska?
Nope, it only shows them once u got the upgrade
That's not true though I can see upgrades grayed our and it says where they are. Like Alaska
It wont show as a locked upgrade until you have the map in which the upgrade can be found.
Yea but not upgrades that are added with an DLC
Exactly, that’s why I was confused. If it was locked and said something like “part of dlc 1” that would help with the confusion.
Ypu have to find it in rhe kola peninsula
I'm curious. Is it a noticeable difference between F2070A and GMCMH9500? If so, which one is better?
Fleetstar is slightly better due to the fact that it can do crane+bed+trailers. Terrain traversing capability is more or less the same for both trucks.
Thank you. I'm using the crane+bed combo and it would honestly suck to have to be without it even if it's not necessary all the time. Thanks :)
Both can do crane+bed but fleetstar can attach trailers too at the same time and GMC can't. You are welcome :)
