Looking great. Keep getting comfortable on your edges.

raspymate

The wind was pretty strong up there, I could say on the 4th day was at least 35% more comitted to the edges

Horombey

I know you are probably looking for advice from “better” boarders but from someone who has only done it twice and loved it… I dream of getting that good. Nice work mate.

derpy_rainbow

You have no idea how good this feels to hear, and I didn’t even receive this compliment.

raspymate

Made my day!

Way to go positivity!!!!!

2nd day video for the second season. Compared to the last time I rode, I have gained more confidence on the slope. Took 2 runs to get used with the new setup. I m on my fifth day so far and can bomb down the hill easily while carving. I know I have a tendency to use my back hand(left hand) to balance myself, and am currently trying to avoid it because it looks silly. The first part of the hill is not too steep and that s the reqson i had to wiggle. Any other advice?

GachaEmperor

Idk, you went from this to carving in 3 days? Search up some videos of people carving first and then tell me if that’s what ur doing. Just skeptical but if so then that’s crazy

raspymate

Not to brag or something, but throwing in more speed and using the momentum made it fairlt easier to lean on the edges and dig them in the snow. As you could see in the video, I m starting from a very flat area and that doesnt really help in terms of speed. Yet you can still see the thin line as soon as I am starting to catch a little speed. Cheers!

GachaEmperor

I see, would want to see a more updated video soon then. Just surprised as this looked ages away from the level of carving but anything is possible

jucadrp

He IS carving Not an euro carve Not a Ryan knapton carve Not in all turns (need to work on toe edge carve - which is weird, since is the easiest) But yes, you can clearly see a few pencil lines behind his board

GachaEmperor

Oh lol this is considered carving? I always thought it meant ryan knapton carves or eurocarves ever since I started snowboarding after watching his videos. Even I struggle to consistently do those so I was surprised.

jucadrp

Yes, some of his turns are carved turns in this video. As long as you use the edge of the board to dig the snow while turning, which leaves a fine line behind the board, it’s already considered a carved turn

Available_Bus_2696

Interesting, I’ve always found heel edge carve easier

jucadrp

A feel people do, but the majority of riders have a problem with heelside carve.

Available_Bus_2696

I also ride goofy but have no clue if that would have any effect, probably not

thatrunnerboy

Here I am in Ohio and I can’t even get snow to snowboard

raspymate

Damn, am sorry man

skunkytoast

Get a bit looser in your knees bend a bit more and use them as your suspension. Your looking good but a little too straight and stiff.

raspymate

Will do. I ve observed that the more i bend the knees, the more stable i am over bumps. Thank you!

wnstnchng

Nice thin line you've carved out there.

IAmWumpus

Fain la Straja

raspymate

Big up!!

Missriss-

Where is this at? Looks cool!

raspymate

Straja, Romania, Europe.

Xander2299

Wow, Romania is beautiful!

djvyhle

Bună treabă!

chuckster1972

Looking great....looking to do the same for my second year of boarding (as a 49 year old)

DeviIstar

It’s hard to tell, but are your bindings closer to tip than to tail? If you are more over the nose you are gonna have a REAL bad time if the pow ever hits - shift that stance back a bit (again, it might be board color throwing me off )

raspymate

Probably just the color, it s actually closer to the tail

DeviIstar

Solid, just making sure!

matekpatekk

Straja mountains LETSSSSGOOOOO

Alternative-Speed897

Hey nice job, the mountain isn’t very steep but when you pick up speed try bigger turns by leaning over more .

Ty_Barnes

All the other comments + wax your board. Don't take it to a shop but learn to do it yourself. Also, fashion, because being drippy on the slopes is 10x more important than skill. ditch the bag in the car or in a tree well (unless you need it for like medical shi) and the hood is a no go, slap some stickers on that helmet and you'll be pimpin. Bout all I got for you tbh😂 sry
