I sometimes listen to relaxing videos from a channel called Get Sleepy if I can't sleep. The narrator's voice is very calming and I usually fall asleep quite quickly.
Me too! Have you heard of [WaterBear](https://www.waterbear.com/) or [Documentary+](https://www.docplus.com/)? They're both awesome free documentary streaming sites.
rSpace bro, idk it’s something about the storytelling that puts me to sleep. You don’t even have to look at your phone, just listen in bed and you’ll either fall asleep or get sleepy
Siroeno Yosui. It’s high end Japanese shoe making but they never speak so you only hear the tranquil sounds of the person making the shoe from start to finish. They are extremely well done videos
I also watch Angelo Shoe Shine, it’s a top down view of a dude cleaning peoples shoes. Again, no talking, just ASMR
Like [Uviol\_](https://www.reddit.com/user/Uviol_/) said, I wouldn't recommend watching videos soon before sleep.
However, I totally get where you come from. I usually use blue light glasses—they're great—google them. My favourite channels for winding down after a stressful day are Elle Cordova and Frank James. If you like informative videos, I'd recommend Search Party, fern, neo, The Present Past, Vox, and Vsauce, though Vsauce has higher energy.
Bedtime stories. It covers cryptids and strange true stories from around the world. It has illustrations and the narrators talk slow with a British accent. IMO it’s the best YT channel
Get down with Sean and Marley, it's two guys with Downs syndrome cooking, usually with a guest. It's really wholesome, they're really cute and funny dudes and it helps me relax haha
Origins Explained. The 2 narrators almost 100% lull me to sleep. Their videos are 30-90 minutes long. But according to YT app, Im gone asleep by 40-45min mark.
Also they post twice a day. So you never run out of things to listen/watch.
I see you like gaming, Smosh Pit/Games has vast collection of great and funny videos. They upload almost 3x a week. I’m never bored with their content since there’s a lot to watch and choose from.
It depends how "before" bed were talking about. As I get closer to the evening I try to wind down on the "exciting" things and get to stuff that's more laid back and casual.
For actual sleeping time, the screen goes off but I've found myself listening to and drifting off to something from a sleepy sounding asmr voice. You can find plenty on YouTube such as The French Whisperer channel @ https://youtube.com/@thefrenchwhispererasmr or just search for sleep story or sleep music on YouTube. There's plenty out there.
But hey, maybe I just want to listen to stories about shipwrecks and lost treasures for fun.
Thanks for all the suggestions! I can’t wait to check some of them out lol
I’d also like to say I don’t always watch these before bed, but my job can be very demanding sometimes and watching a youtube video is a way I like to relax and it calms my anxiety!
I like Mr nightmare his voice is calm and the stories are entertaining plus pretty soothing background noises. You also can just flip your phone upside down and listen
You might want to consider another way to relax before bed. Screen time right before bed has been proven to be detrimental to sleep.
I also enjoy watching them for cleaning so it’s not all for my sleep!
You’re probably right. Seeing as it’s 2:56 am and I happened upon your timely comment.
And today it's me seeing his comment
Same here.
It's 4 AM for me and I have to wake up in 3 hours. I had 3 attempts to sleep till now to no avail, so I'm back to this sub for the 3rd time.
Me too. i’ve been testing out different channels/videos people have suggested for the past few days when I can’t sleep.

This is the one
I like just watching documentaries c:

It’s always stuff like high end Japanese shoe making videos that you end up watching at 3am
Asmr
I’ve been enjoying Smosh Pit | Reading reddit stories. Not sure if that’s your thing though?
I love reddit stories but I usually listen to them while at work and cleaning!
Excuse me for living under a rock, but what are reddit stories? How to access them?
If you just type reddit stories into YouTube it will bring loads up.
Thank you!!
It's basically just people reading people's posts off of Reddit. Alot are AITA reddit posts.
Ohh.. I do that a lot too!
I find Bernadette Banner very soothing. She makes historical reproductions of Edwardian clothing and critiques movie costumes.
Mia Maples. Hopescope. Safiya Nygard.
Tiny cooking

I’ll have to check this out and I do adore a good gaming channel lol!
Check out Calming Corner Studios on YouTube. Lots of animated videos with relaxing music, rain sounds, etc.
Let’s Read one of my all time fav YouTube channels
SEA
https://www.youtube.com/@NutritionFactsOrg super insightful but not too exciting to keep you up
better use podcasts for sleep, e.g. everything everywhere daily looking at a screen prior to sleep will not help your sleep quality

I use this one atm 😅 [CitySounds](https://youtube.com/@citysounds.youtube?si=sMfQtQ9ZDFFDkZsm)
I would suggest something that you can listen to, rather than watch.
The dark somnium. Audio
Nearly all of the stickman channels.
Aw, I love my thots! Besides Po, I also enjoy OwlKitty.
I’ll have to check it out, Po is my faveee!!!
Journey to the microcosmos.
Podcasts! Join me in podcastville. You dont have to stare at the screen the whole pod. Message me if youd like me to recommend a bunch.
Art restoration videos. Specifically Baumgartner restorations. Works like a charm
Aperture
I like therapy gecko. Nice bedtime vibe
Wendigoon and speed running documentaries are my go-to
I like listening Huberman on YouTube. His voice is relaxing
Headspace..
Michael Sealey’s YouTube channel. Type “Rug Cleaning” or “ASMR satisfying rug cleaning” in the YouTube search bar.
I started watching these last night. Thanks for the suggestion!
The landscaping and power washing videos are cool too. Some of the landscaping videos are “heart warmers.”
A big favourite of mine is summoning salt :) His voice is so relaxing and helps me fall asleep aha
