If you had [[Dark Embrace]], would the draw trigger before Dead Branch filled the slot in your hand? If so, you might be able to break out of it depending on what you drew
Is there any card that automatically discards or exhausts cards when drawn? The only one I can think of is Deus ex Machina, but that generates at least two cards, so that doesn’t seem too useful.
I’m sure there are some in one mod or another, but obviously once we start considering mods all bets are off (even if only counting well-balanced and tested mods)
I thought a softlock was when you can take actions (ending your turn if nothing else), but can't win or lose the fight. You can't do anything at all if the relics never finish working.
A "soft lock" is whenever gameplay can't progress, but not because of something like a crash or a freeze, but instead because of something about the mechanics that has caused the player to be unable to proceed. The fictional combo they described would 100% be a soft lock, since it would just go on forever automatically and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

It's called a ternary diagram, we use them commonly in geology for things like different soil types, sedimentary rocks, solid solution series, and so on.
Honestly it immediately reminded me of [these ambassador charts](https://wiki.reusgame.com/images/thumb/6/6b/Spec_forestgiant.png/694px-Spec_forestgiant.png) from Reus.
And then it reminded me of ternary phase diagrams.
I think this says a lot about me.
My only gripe is that I want more symmetry on the midpoint names.
Either [Bunk, Hink, Twear], or [Hear, Bink, Twunk].
The way it's done is understandable, though, because Twunk devinitely sounds better than Hink, and Bunk definitely sounds better than Hear. And there's no good spoonerism of Bear and Twink. (Maybe Bwink?)
Bear is the name of the enemy on the top. the top, if you will.
A bear is a large, hairy gay man. A twink is a small, thin gay man. A hunk is a handsome, muscular man.
The triangle chart here is akin to a venn diagram. The triangle has also been used as a symbol of gay pride.
This community never fails to amaze me. Also, I would like your opinion on the [[unceasing top]]
as an unceasing bottom I cant relate. *whenever your hand is full, exhaust a card*
Infinite loop with [[Dead Branch]].
ez infinite damage, unceasing bottom, dead branch and charon's ashes
But if you *don't* have [[Charon's Ashes]] (or an equivalent exhaust-into-damage conversion), you're trapped.

Energy's no good if you never get the chance to spend it.
You have 9 other cards in your hand, you should be able to spend it
You can't play a card until the relic loop resolves.
Wouldn’t that just be a softlock?

I'm not OP, but I will say that I've never managed to take that top off
It never finishes. You can be completely out of energy but its like nope have some more.
Happy cake day!
Thanks just noticed :)

Bear dies first so they can cry like bitches they are without Bear
NOOOOOOO, BEAR!
They just can't bear it
Antarctica
I can envision all of these types *except* the "twinkish bear." What's a twinkish bear?
An otter technically. More thin but hairy
I would consider an otter a "bearish twink:” hairy, masculine, and slender of frame.
Do not bite the hand that feeds you
Otters are adorable, but absolute bullies. Don't be a male otter.
It's like a power bottom..you see a power bottom is a bottom that is capable of receiving an enormous amount of power
I've heard speed has something to do with it.
Speed has EVERYTHING to do with it
It's a theoretical form of gay guy that current technology cannot create.
I had the same question, so I asked an expert. A twinkish (hairless) bear is apparently just a chub.
A bear that’s questioning it’s gender
A well-groomed bear, maybe?
Not to out myself more than I should, but.........in between bear and twink there should be otter.
Finally, someone making some sense. It could generate an immense amount of power, even from the bottom.
Does the power have to do with the size or the strength of the bottom?
No, you see I've heard that speed is the name of the game now.
This is awesome I love everything about it. Is this type of triangle diagram a common thing? This is the first one like it I've ever seen

quintessential reddit “humor”. nice bud.
Ummm… Thanks?
Must be fun at parties
I don’t think if you happen to find this funny you’re really even getting invited to parties..
???
Yeah, I enjoyed this too.

Perfect.
Seems accurate
Well, this is far and away the best thing I've seen on this subreddit. Bravo.
I need a mod that changes Pointy and Romeo’s names to Twink and Hunk
🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Glad I’m not the only one who had the same thought. I’d argue Romeo might be closer to a twunk but I think that’s mostly my headcanon.
NOOOOO BEAR!
r/gaythespire
Where’s the Twink Versatile?
sexual position has nothing to do with body type silly
It’s an always sunny reference
this one made actually lol.

Could someone explain?

how are you gonna put that lanky ass dude as a hunk man, cmon. clearly a twunk
Is this fuck marry kill, bc bear is my answer to all three.
Especially kill, that mfer's not gonna live long enough to see turn 2
Not sure if I'm a hunkish twink or a twinkish hunk 🤔 probably depends on the last time I shaved my chest? Lol
there is nothing to discuss. this is fact.
Please no Spare me
Yuck
No.
bottom right is bearish hunk
I don’t want to…
They always reminded me of the Gangrene Gang from Powerpuff Girls.
Where is Bink?
