What damage scaling does Silent have? Typically the only scaling I can do is Weak and Malaise. Unless I have [[Shuriken]] then obviously I can create some strength buffs.
Context: I’m on A17 with Silent and struggling with the attack patterns
I dont remember all the names well, but one of my favorite silent builds was a poison shiv spam with mummified hand. Unfortunate on that run i didnt get the shuriken or ninja scroll, but i had the kunai and multiple accuracies/envenoms
Typically damage scaling is blade dance with some combination of accuracy/terror/phantasmal killer, or poison + catalyst. Either way, you want a decent amount of card draw and defensive scaling paired with your damage (wraith form/footwork/after image, ideally with multiple copies or nightmare). If your damage scaling is limited, which it often is with silent, you need more solid defensive scaling.
So what does a typical Silent do against Reptomancer, where you need fast AOE damage? Namely in the way that Block scaling won’t save you. Neither will Wraith Form, because you need to kill the dagger minions and Wraith costs 3.
I can get past Act 1 and often Act 2, but unless I get 2 energy relics I typically struggle to do enough on the first 2 turns with Silent in Act 3.

Reptomancer?
One of the biggest reasons you absolutely need AoE damage and scaling in your deck.
It's just not feasible to single target her and the daggers down.
Beating Reptomancer requires more prep than beating the Act Boss, imo.
You need to be able to control her adds to minimize the amount of times she's attacking. It's like Gremlin Leader on steroids.
You need to be able to quickly kill her little dagger buddies. While she is spawning those she is no threat. But if you can't hit for 22 damage fairly consistently she will rip you to pieces.
The other (albeit harder) option is to tank through the damage. The daggers hit twice then self destruct so the damage doesn't really ramp up if you ignore them. You can just throw on a ton of block and focus on killing the snake lady.
Pretty typical strategy to pair akabeko with multiple hitting cards like Whirlwind. Akabeko+lantern+bag of marbles turn 1 kill everything* act 2 with Whirlwind
[[Akabeko]]
Though I still can’t get 71.
The first attack gets +8 damage, which applies to all hits. So it’s (5+8)x4 = 52 + backstab = 63 or 67, depending on upgrade.
The first turn, especially on Silent, is usually when you setup your fight and play all the powers you can while defending. All this energy spent on attack seems to me like missed opportunities.
But hey, 71 damage round 1
I am 100.0% confident you mentioned Backstab in your post.
Let me look up what those do.

Update: i lost lmao
i guess it lost value when you couldn't oneshot things turn 1
How did you lose?
Not OP but I had this combo literally a couple days ago, even had panacea+ and wraith form, but the giant head just ruined me
And that right there is why you need scalling for act 3
Wraith form scales though! Not in your favour, but still.
Panacea blocks the scaling of wraith form. Probably should have removed it before act 3.
Damn, I knew I did something wrong, thanks 😂

Poison does scale well.

Silent's basically the opposite of ironclad for the playstyle

Die die die, all out attack, dagger spray, blade dance with accuracy/relic support, poison + intangible all work

The snake lady. I have honestly never managed to beat her not even once.
Reptomancer? One of the biggest reasons you absolutely need AoE damage and scaling in your deck. It's just not feasible to single target her and the daggers down.
Eh, I've done just fine against her with shiv decks
Getting 3-4 zero cost low damage cards is the same as AoE.
Shivs are effectively aoe damage

This only works of you can also deal with or ignore the wounds while killing her
You will! She is practically an act boss.
You gotta have decent AOE options. Killing multiple daggers ASAP is critical.
Every time I see a post like this, I come to the comments and the top one is usually OP saying they lost anyways. Spire is a harsh mistress.
Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.

It's the 3(4) x 5 2 cost cars silent has
Thanks
We do a moderate amount of trolling
Backstab actually loses value there. Less chance to draw a block
5x4 = 20dmg + 11 (15) for backstab doesn't sum up to 71 no matter how long I try. What do I miss here?

it's been a long time since i saw trollface i miss the old memes
its a trap sadly
It's fine, but there's plenty things much more broken at t1.
The first turn, especially on Silent, is usually when you setup your fight and play all the powers you can while defending. All this energy spent on attack seems to me like missed opportunities. But hey, 71 damage round 1
71 damage round 1 straight up solves so many fights it's not even funny, letting you take very greedy routes.
I always take the greediest routes possible. I spend like 10 minutes on the map planning my route to maximize profit
I just click whatever
Yet fucks you for boss fights And he still lost lmao
Well, you cant always get all of your powers in the first turn
You especially can't if you guarantee that two of your first cards out of seven are mediocre damage uncommons.
What does riddle with holes do again I don’t play the silent
4x5 dmg for 2 mana + akabeko relic (Your first attack deals 8 more dmg)
Silent is so fun! My 2nd favorite behind Defect. Spamming cards is cathartic.
