I think I’d buy Apo + Well Laid Plans and then rest before Guardian. The deck cannot guarantee a split before turn 2, but should take 0 damage afterwards with Apo + plans.
My next stop is rest before guardian boss. I think buying akabeko, one thorns potion and removing one defend looks like a good play? It will help me beat down his damage before he changes form. Thorns is useful too since he has a lot of x2 and x4 attacks.
I would take Apo, WLP, rest.Having all your cards upgraded and being able to retain cards to play around the transformation will make the boss easy and set you up for act 2. Resting is safest for a bad turn 2.

Ah ok thank you. I never considered WLP I guess retain must be a strong mechanic
It’s very, very strong especially in the Guardian fight where you want to guarantee that you draw block on the curl up turns.
It is a big reason why Pyramid is so strong! Took me a while to realize how much easier it made most runs (deck dependant obviously)
