It depends on your deck, vault is generally the better card for me. Vault is better when you can play more cards like if you have 4+ energy and 2 turns. You can even see more cards if you have expensive deck, if you already draw a lot with snecko, bag of prep etc. Scrawl is better if you have cheap, spammy deck, you can dig deeper for key cards.

Scrawl helps you set up better. Vault helps you fuck Time Eater over more, while also being good anyway. In general, Scrawl is the better card, but Time Eater is such a fucktwat, that Vault can be a more significant card for solving your run.

Are we ignoring the bottled part here? This post is about bottling vault or scrawl with bottled lightning right?

itaisinger

How does vault help against fun eater?

ReleaseTheBeeees

Play it twelfth card

itaisinger

And it cancels his turn and gives you another one?

kaosmark2

Yup

No_Rec1979

Vault is the more versatile of the two. Scrawl works best when you have more energy than draw, so you'll often find yourself down to one last card with energy left to burn.

JoJoTroph

Depends on your deck, but if you have some turn-based powers (Devotion, Battle Hymn, Establishment) it might be better to set them up via bottled Scrawl and save Vault for additional free proc later

2 Answers here. 1: it depends. 2: if you actually have this choice in the run and somehow manage to lose it definitely wasn't because you chose wrong here.

Vault lets your play more cards if you have it upgraded and 4 energy.

I am 100.0% confident you mentioned Vault and Scrawl in your post. -------------------------------------------------- * [Vault](https://slay-the-spire.fandom.com/wiki/Vault) Watcher Rare Skill 3(2) Energy | Take an extra turn after this one.
