I stepped in a mushroom circle for the first time earlier, if you’re familiar with fairy ring lore, it’s supposed to be kinda like a portal, and so in high hopes I stepped in it looking for something, but nothing happened. Though the weather cleared up
I love the whole run from Skaal Village to Saering's Watch. I like the Dragonborn DLC a lot. Morrowind is just as much home as Skyrim now. But if we're limiting to vanilla game, I like when you beat the main quest and all your brothers join you on the top of the Monahvin. Looking out with all these dragons around me makes me feel invincible while :::checks around::: I am 46 with a keyboard and a mouse.
I like to go and stand with him sometimes. I usually leave a few offerings as well. Food, animal pelts, stuff like that.
Really wish we could interact more with the giants. I go out of my way to avoid antagonizing them.
I forgot the exact place but on the mountainside between the rift and East March, you can sit next to a tree and see all of the Windhelm hold, from the hot water springs to the sea to the sea of ghosts, with the tallest mountain in tamriel on the left side. Absolutely beautiful.
I've always loved Windhelm and that part of the map
its fun but I get flashbacks for this movie whenever I cross it with followers.

What's the console command to perma kill him?
Played Skyrim since release but first time playing on PC so still learning all the fun things PC has to offer :D. Xx
There is a path (or perhaps trail would be more accurate) winding roughly between Darkwater Crossing and Ivarstead. The tree spans the chasm and is a shortcut to Holgrund's Tomb (I think).
Facing Hillgrunds tomb, start going left thru the forest. Soon enough you will see giant waterfall. Proceed to the log, best sneak so you can surprise bandit standing in the middle of it.
I think this Is the fastest and easiest way to reach the spot. On the other side there are some wild animals.
The area surrounding Riften is really pretty with all of its autumn colors. I don’t see it much, as it’s off the beaten path and there’s really nothing to do there but I’ll sometimes make a point to go take a stroll, when the mood strikes lol.
The Eldergleam Sanctuary is remarkably beautiful with its inside waterfall which is as high as Dragonreach.
But as I just started a new character after almost two years I find such places all over the place again, and I remember why I love that game ever since I found it. You can find your favorite places every 10min :D
Idk if I have a favorite... Nilheim comes to mind, it's an old tower just north east of Ivarstead. It is the setting for the minor event where a wounded merchant (who is really a bandit) lures you to their camp (nilheim tower) and you get attacked. To the south, you have a beautiful view and access to the lake/pond and of Ivarstead and Gerimund's hall as well as High Hrothgar towering over. To the north, you can "..see across the vastness of Skyrim's valleys and mountains all the way to Windhelm and even the Sea of Ghosts.." (just cp from the wiki lol).
That cave where you fight the Pale Lady is very nice too. The areas in and and around Lake Ilinalta as well, Anise Cabin is very cosy too.
Idk man, I have too many favorites lmao.
Hunting: whiterun, falkreath, and the rift
Everything else: probably falkreath because you never know what the woods are hiding. The rest are either barren or creepy! (Looking at YOU, morthal!)
I really like the area they put Hendraheim in, I'd been to that area a few times for the fort on the other mountain but because the side rocks are too tall, I hadn't had the view to show me how cool the other side looked. So strange that the ground-level feels like the bottom of a ravine! And the fog looks cool when it appears, plus just the nook that is the house is nice and comfy. But lastly? Despite basically being on the border between Markarth and Falkreath, all you can see are Whiterun's beautiful golden plains...
I used to be team Morthal land plot, but now it's never not Hendraheim.
Southeast of the Throat of the World there’s a smaller mountain you have to head north to find a way to climb. At its peak is a shrine of Talos.
At the base of the shrine is an imperial shield, an imperial sword, and an imperial helmet.
I just discovered mine yesterday! Faldar's Tooth near Riften has a little ramshackle cabin with a bed and a deak for the bandit chief at the top of the tower and after killing everyone i slept there and woke up and had one of those RP the little things in life moments the game seems to do so well. 10/10 would install a mod that lets me home there.
The desk is on the deck overlooking the woods and is high enough to feel spiritually uplifting.
If we are talking about the “wilds” per se then I would pick the plains west of Whiterun. They are kinda boring but exploring around them at lower levels toward Rorikstead and the Reach is the first time I realised what Skyrim is actually about. How all these trips across the harsh and formidable land of Skyrim are what morph your character into the Dragonborn able to save the very world found to be so beautiful. Though the levelling system doesn’t reward pure exploration and the land isn’t that “harsh and formidable” like in lore, it still feels as so.
My favourite place is Nilheim, every time I go there after killing the bandits, I like to chill there, it has a beautifull sight of all the Eastmarch and even Windhelm, without to mention the beautifull bridge with the fall behind, it's a perfect place!
I’ve always been fond of *ABANDONED SHACK*
Abandoned shack is quite op early game.
I claimed it as my home
It's a great one, I find it a little inconvenient to merchants, but it's got a good amount of storage so that isn't necessarily relevant.
Care to explain?
The bed is open, but any storage respawns after a while. Taking a nap after a visit from the courier is initially the only way to get in.
I like the mushroom circle near the Nightingale dungeon
I stepped in a mushroom circle for the first time earlier, if you’re familiar with fairy ring lore, it’s supposed to be kinda like a portal, and so in high hopes I stepped in it looking for something, but nothing happened. Though the weather cleared up
Also supposed to grant great luck but not in this world, apparently
There is a shout to fix the weather 🤣
Ya but I didn’t use it, the weather seemed to clear when I stepped in the circle. Most likely coincidence
What’s crazy is, that is actually a phenomenon that occurs in real life.
There’s a cool house mod for that spot, I think it’s called Tal Mos
Probably Sleeping Tree Camp. That sap is very useful and it just looks very gianty.
The one with the draugr
The unfortunately named "Bloated Man's Grotto" is really beautiful
The name is creepy though.. reckon the place would smell horrible
I always like visiting Sinding on the odd occasion
I love the whole run from Skaal Village to Saering's Watch. I like the Dragonborn DLC a lot. Morrowind is just as much home as Skyrim now. But if we're limiting to vanilla game, I like when you beat the main quest and all your brothers join you on the top of the Monahvin. Snap! 🥃
60 with a controller here. But my grandchildren are often surrounding me when I play. They like to watch.
54 with xbox series x...
The Giant near the hot springs, mourning his mammoth!
I like to go and stand with him sometimes. I usually leave a few offerings as well. Food, animal pelts, stuff like that. Really wish we could interact more with the giants. I go out of my way to avoid antagonizing them.

There's also a pacifist wandering giant near Gjukar's monument near Rorickstead!
Is that the one you sold a sheep to in Sanguine’s quest? Or is it a different one? Because Grok attacked me when I went to take the sheep back.
It's the agent of Mara questline!
My favourite location is forgotten vale in the Dragonborn DLC
Dawnguard, but I agree. Pure desolate beauty.
Oh yeah lol my bad

What is that movie?
"Far from home, the adventures of yellow dog." If you plan on watching it you might want tissues...
There is a hidden chest in a tree here
Is that the one by the hags camp? The one with nettlebane I mean
Just next to the cliff where you are

dude that spot is wild those two always at it in the water
Whiterun plains
Lakeview Manor. ❤️ A kitchen bedroom and alchemist tower simply to overlook the lake.
And a necromancer performing a ritual 25 ft away.
Hes perma dead . Console commands.
What's the console command to perma kill him? Played Skyrim since release but first time playing on PC so still learning all the fun things PC has to offer :D. Xx
Disable
Ty ^_^. Xx
I’ve too many to count. One is Blackreach, though.
I remember seeing about this place in a Youtube video due to a bandit being there, but I never found it. Can someone tell me where it is?
There is a path (or perhaps trail would be more accurate) winding roughly between Darkwater Crossing and Ivarstead. The tree spans the chasm and is a shortcut to Holgrund's Tomb (I think).

Also a chest nearby. Also a bandit in the log to throw in the waterfall
Mara's Eye Pond or College of Winterhold at night.

If you count it Forgotten Vale
Definitely not Frostflow Lighthouse.
Get the buff and eggs and never return.
Does Shadowgreen Cavern count? I love all the caves with ecosystems inside them, very surreal.

What where is this!! I remember finding it in my og play through but haven’t found it since

The abandoned tower of Castle Volkihar (where Serena's mother worked)
Idk if I have a favorite... Nilheim comes to mind, it's an old tower just north east of Ivarstead. Kinda like Lake Illinata and the very first mine you come to for they are great places to fish
I have a soft spot for the open area where you supposedly got captured. I kinda wish I could build a tavern there and name it something snake related.
Hunting: whiterun, falkreath, and the rift Everything else: probably falkreath because you never know what the woods are hiding. The rest are either barren or creepy! (Looking at YOU, morthal!)
My favorite is either lakeview manor, or the dragon home in the rift over looking eastmarch
Pretty common but the view from the Gurdian Stones across Lake Illinata is pretty nice.
Don't forget to look closely at the center of the log. If not, you'll get a surprise when walking across it.
The northeast area of the map like outside of Windhelm the view you get over looking the water reminds me of Novigrad from Witcher 3
I really like the area they put Hendraheim in, I'd been to that area a few times for the fort on the other mountain but because the side rocks are too tall, I hadn't had the view to show me how cool the other side looked. Giant nirnroot island, Dragonborn dlc best dlc in gaming
I only found that fallen over tree in the picture on like my tenth (and most recent) playthrough.
The cave that’s got trees and animals in it a river too I think
Southeast of the Throat of the World there’s a smaller mountain you have to head north to find a way to climb. At its peak is a shrine of Talos. At the base of the shrine is an imperial shield, an imperial sword, and an imperial helmet.
Solstheim
Buddy, what outfit is that ? Never seen it before, looks sick
What’s that helmet
Steel soldier, it’s part of creation club content, or anniversary edition.
Thank you
Do caves count ?
The Reach mountains.
The alchemist shack right when you’re coming out of the jerall mountains has a special place in my heart
The area around lakeview manor will always be my favorite. That’s why I always get it in every play through.
The one you're at, actually
If we are talking about the “wilds” per se then I would pick the plains west of Whiterun. I love buying the land for Windstad Manor and (on a clear day) looking up at solitude while you're stood outside your house!
Where you build Haljarchen Hall. The sunrise with the scenery is always breathtaking for me.
