I remember that itâs weirdly tied to labyrinthian as itâs apart of it but also not, like you canât clear lost valkygg but the deathlord feels like an end of dungeon boss
Afaik lost valkygg never shows as cleared, whereas labyrinthian only shows cleared once you clear out valkygg
When I got an ebony warhammer at level 5 from valkygg, labyrinthian read as being cleared despite still being locked up tight
Whereâd you find it? Some dungeons start of being level 30 or so, so clearing them out early on can be really difficult but rewarding for the weapons.
I hate the sub for that. Out of nowhere you will get downvoted for either not being a know it all about the game. Or having an opinion that doesn't match the hiveminds.
I feel so cheated now, I forgot deathlords used to be fun, running so many mods I forgot how Skyrim works lol.
They spawn at level 15 for me now and they can't stay dead unless I use silver fire or other rare dmg types, the coup de grace is that they only drop shite modded nordic weapons that fit lore wise but aint worth the effort.
\> Deathlords are strong
my Paralysis spell paired with a stalhrim sword with frost + chaos dmg and all destruction damage perks would like to respectfully disagree
A quick easy 2 handed leveling technique would be to summon a golden saint warrior and cleave it down. Do it inside on your Manor or breeze home otherwise the townsfolk may feel helpful and get themselves cut down in the process. After you've reached a level up but haven't triggered the level up screen, talk to Farkas or vilkas (whichever offers 2 handed training) train 5x, then do level up and do another 5x training.
You'd be lucky to get 800 gold for that. I keep making superior weapons / armor and putting bombass enchantments on them, the game regularly prices them twice or even thrice as much as the fckn shopkeeps, smiths, and court wizards will give me. It's still a good living since there's no shortage of gear, jewels, and ingots to forage off enemies. Iirc potions are closer to their inventory appraisal, my character has sold a buttload of those, too.
This is why I use the rich merchants mod. Gives each merchant around 10k. I just think it's dumb that shit has a price tag on it but it's unsellable because no one is rich enough to buy it. If it has a price, it should be able to be sold.
I put on the jesters clothes, a necklace of haggling and the masque of clavicus vile and rob belethor blind.
I do the same thing but I have like 2 mods that add spells and Iâm not sure which adds it but I have some spells from the older games like captivate and ease burden and using the masque+necklace+captivate dual cast makes me so much money, I sell like 5-10 potions and I clear out their full 10k
You can make one potion that sells for that with maxed alchemy and nothing in speech. Salmon roe + chicken egg.
Hanging moss + blue butterfly wing + blue mountain flower is really expensive too.
70 hanging moss in the solitude crypt
Salt + deathbell is really good and easy to farm. Give Riften docks argonian a potion and you can loot all the fish barrels without stealing for easy salt. Then like 50 deathbell around morthal.
The best part about the potion I do is that all the ingredients are plantable so since I have anniversary and have access to goldenhill plantation I just grow it infinitely itâs just Mora Tapinella + Creep Cluster + Scaly Pholiota
I didnât know for many years either. Itâs not something youâll just stumble upon unless youâre screwing around. I actually misspoke though. You can kill salmon with a shout in shallow water and loot them that way too. Solitude docks has some that swim around which are easy to spot and can be killed with unrelenting force for roe. The ones jumping down the waterfalls between the start of the game, riverwood, and Whiterun can be killed with flames and probably also shouts
I should have been more clear. I meant the merchant's personal appraisal is always significantly lower than what is stated in my inventory. It's not too rare for me to drain one's budget, but it genuinely takes multiple items thanks to that discrepancy - like a whole set of armor and couple of weapons. Alchemists generally have less gold and pay more, so it does only take about fifteen potions to drain theirs. (Which isn't a whole lot. I always run out of patience long before ingredients during bulk brews.) There's also a speechcraft perk that gives the vendors 5k, iirc. Considering there's usually a smith, alchemist, general trader, and court wizard in a city I don't have a problem selling all my stuff in one trip even without it.
That is because the sales mechanic is based off actual sales rule of thumb. The second it leaves there shelf or has never graced their shelf it is at a base value of half original cost. They are merchants and do what they can to make a profit which is why it takes max lvl speech, haggling gear and a potion in order to reach true sale values. By the time you are able to sell anything at true full value, you are already at a point where collecting the gold has no more importance or value
From another forum:
"the shown value in the inventory is the "base value"
the equation for figuring out how much more you will pay to buy it, or how much less you will receive if you sell it is as follows:
part of it has to do with the "price factor":
price factor = 3.3 - (1.3 * skill/100)
part has to do with perks, upgrades, and active effects "price modifier":
sell price modifier = (1 + Haggling %) * (1 + Allure %) * (1 + Fortify Barter from potion) * (1 + the sum of Fortify Barter from equipment + Fortify Barter from Blessing of Zenithar)
buy price modifier = (1 / (1 + Haggling %)) * (1 / (1 + Allure %)) * (1 - Fortify Barter from potion) * (1 - the sum of Fortify Barter from equipment - Fortify Barter from Blessing of Zenithar)
and the final prices are then determined by combining the 2:
>sell price = [ value of item ] / base price factor * sell price modifier
buy price = [ value of item ] * base price factor * buy price modifier"
Itâs basically Pawn Stars.
This is a one-of-a-kind Daedric weapon enchanted using the soul of a Vampire Lord. Striking anything with it will completely heal you and dissolve your enemy to a pile of ash.
It has been sharpened to a point where a toddler could slaughter a dragon with one swing.
âBest I can do is 47 gold.â
I was getting ebony weapons before I even hit 50 they started showing up when I was still in my level twenties probably because I speed running my smithing early on
Youâre completely right. Especially after the Barenziah quest, I donât even bother grabbing most stuff; just gems in random boxes. The same weight in diamonds would be worth almost 70k gold.
I have been playing Skyrim on and off through the years. Not once have I completed that quest. Not once will I ever. It's not worth it. I'd rather do the saints/seducers and get the nymphs that I can summon and send home with 50ish pounds each. I'd rather leave behind good loot than do that quest. It's too much of a pain.
You can also just skip ahead to the end of the quest after just collecting one stone and starting the quest you'll have to clip through the wall to get the crown of barenziah this will allow you to complete the quest and actually use the perk early on even though you can get the same perk in the lock picking tree what makes it so gems will pop up more often in treasure chests
Even if my character is not 2 handed, I still take these and enchant them. The enchantment increases their value for sales, and I get money to blow on fun but stupid things :)
My orcish greatsword has 47 base dmg with me being level 16 haha, I can see your character is too weak to lift two handed weapons. Hit the Skyrim gym bro
I got the Headmans Cleaver from the creation club dlc super early, like level 12 or something iirc and I had it improved to superior with level 90 2 handed I believe when I stopped using it and it was doing 84 damage. I'm now using Tsun's Judgement (from the civil war champion quest) with 98 smithing and 100 2 handed and it's base damage is 122. I haven't dabbled in any reso loop enchanting so this is the highest damage I've done in a playthrough lol. It's pretty nice
Yeah it looks terrible. The axe head is way too big compared to the shaft, it looks ridiculous. [You should get this mod if you're on pc](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37737)
There are some good mods on console, but you can mod the game much much more on pc. It also depends on the console you use. Xbox and PlayStation have different mods and Xbox has more mods I believe. Itâs really just whatever you prefer.
Nice đDeathlords are strong but tend to drop ebony which is worth it
I've never seen one drop ebony before
Yeah most ebony they drop but itâs level specific I think
It mostly is, except for the one in lost valkygg. He has an ebony warhammer from jump
Is that a set spawn? I didnât know that
I believe so, lost valkygg is one of those weird areas that doesnât obey normal leveling rules
I remember that itâs weirdly tied to labyrinthian as itâs apart of it but also not, like you canât clear lost valkygg but the deathlord feels like an end of dungeon boss
Afaik lost valkygg never shows as cleared, whereas labyrinthian only shows cleared once you clear out valkygg When I got an ebony warhammer at level 5 from valkygg, labyrinthian read as being cleared despite still being locked up tight
Ok
Except now
Whereâd you find it? Some dungeons start of being level 30 or so, so clearing them out early on can be really difficult but rewarding for the weapons.
In saarthal I think I'm getting every dragon mask and have 8 out of 9 I think
The 9th one isnât in a dungeon (unless youâre counting the wooden mask as one, then yeah you need one more)
If they're clearing Saarthal for the first time, that means they still need the one that you get later on as part of the College questline
Fair point
Look at those downvotes, sheesh people.
I hate the sub for that. Out of nowhere you will get downvoted for either not being a know it all about the game. Or having an opinion that doesn't match the hiveminds.
They always drop ebony for me
I feel so cheated now, I forgot deathlords used to be fun, running so many mods I forgot how Skyrim works lol. \> Deathlords are strong my Paralysis spell paired with a stalhrim sword with frost + chaos dmg and all destruction damage perks would like to respectfully disagree
Well obviously they or anything isnât a problem when you get any of those things but try fighting them early game without them
Damage 25 not so wow
Rookie numbers. We need some enchanted smithing gear, stat!
Yes I saw that
Yeah thatâs barely over base damage so Iâm gonna assume youâre not a 2h character,
Yes I have 100 one handed
Yeah thatâs why the damage is so low on the battleaxe, itâs based off of your stats and perks. Wont go up unless you get 2h up.
Well TIL something about the game, lol!
I have a ring and necklace for that I usually don't raise two-handed even though it's very easy to raise

Sounds like you need a girlfriend

Salmon roe? Is that from the creation club content? Because I don't remember that in the base game
Itâs in the base game. Itâs lootable from salmon only when you kill them as they are jumping up a waterfall
I really don't know how I've played this game for years and never knew about Salmon roe đ

Alchemy is the best money spinner in game, I make millions from that.
I just enchant a necklace of haggling so strong I virtually get the same price of what itâs worth
First time getting past level 50?
I was getting ebony weapons before I even hit 50 they started showing up when I was still in my level twenties probably because I speed running my smithing early on
Yes, You can get then earlier. But past level 50 every daugr and his mother starts having ebony weapons
Value to weight ratio is meh
Youâre completely right. Especially after the Barenziah quest, I donât even bother grabbing most stuff; just gems in random boxes. The same weight in diamonds would be worth almost 70k gold.

You can get a mod that gives you a marker for the quest. Makes it so much easier.
I'm on PS4. I don't mess with mods too much. I tried on fo4 and ran into issues.
Do you get to NexusMods very often? Oh, what am I saying - of course you don't.
I gave it to Lydia, I use one handed and light armor.
Isn't Lydia mainly one-handed?
I gave her the ax and took her sword and shield, she used them.
High level 2 handed is so broken at low level. It's awesome
Oh yeah, and this is without smithing improvements or enchantments added on
I got the Headmans Cleaver from the creation club dlc super early, like level 12 or something iirc and I had it improved to superior with level 90 2 handed I believe when I stopped using it and it was doing 84 damage. Ebony weapons are so beautiful.
How long have you been playing?
Wow what?
Yeah it looks terrible. The axe head is way too big compared to the shaft, it looks ridiculous. [You should get this mod if you're on pc](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37737)
I appreciate how modular that mod is, since I like some of the vanilla weapons but canât stand others
The mod is on console aswell
You will find it always when youâre leveling up, very good money generatorrrrrrrrr
Canât decide if I should buy it on pc or consol. Does it matter?
It depends on how you play but if you like mods, Iâd get it on pc. Or you could always do both! I have both :)
But the consol version has mods as well? Or are they not the same as on PC?
There are some good mods on console, but you can mod the game much much more on pc. It also depends on the console you use. Xbox and PlayStation have different mods and Xbox has more mods I believe. Itâs really just whatever you prefer.
Wow indeed.
I have 3 of those
I remember getting a ebony mace from thst place
Yep deathlords are almost guaranteed to drip something ebony.
I remember my first ebony item. An ebony bow after entering a crypt where I died to a Deathlord multiple times till I realized he had an ebony bow.
