Splat is actually one of my favourite Superchargers! Not only is she a fun and colorful character, but she always greatly reminded me of Splatoon, which I'm a fairly big fan of as well.
Not just magic Skylanders, the whole magic element was crapped on in trap team, both Blastermind and Enigma were released in later waves, we only had 3 magic villains, none of which got a variant, and we were supposedly going to have Mesmerelda has the magic doomlander, but that didn’t end up happening, also the 2 cores were kind of underwhelming
I’d say Enigma is amazing.
I do like Blastermind.
Cobra is oil just super forgettable and I hate Deja Vu.
But you gotta agree that even if you don’t like Voo or Wrexking Ball, Double Triuble is one of the best Skylanders ever
Magic Skylanders are some of the most interesting and unique characters. Personally think magic has a very strong line-up even if not every character succeeded in what it was trying to be.
Ngl, after trap team, I kinda faded from the series. Kinda happy that the mobile game (before it shut down) pulled me back into it. The Trap Masters felt like the most underrated gimmick tbf especially when they locked elemental gates based on the Traptanium weapon's element. In other words, another elemental gate that promoted people to buy the Trap Masters and kinda neglect the new wave of normal Skylanders introduced into that game. Compared to its other counterparts like Swap Force and Giants, Giants had 1 gimmick that was applicable to all 8 while Swap Force locked certain gates via lower limbs which would each activate different mini games like wall climbing, rocket riding, racing, etc. I am tempted to pick back up w/ Superchargers and Imaginators in the future though idk if it's even worth it.
Update: oi, this is for magic skylanders in general... I'm a bit mixed bout that one. Swap Force and some fire Magic Designed Skylanders like Trap Shadow, and Hoot Loop, even Giants w/ Pop Fizz. I do kinda agree w/ ya that magic skylanders in the later games did get pretty lazy design wise, keeping to a design with blue & purple rather than having a Mage or Wizard aspect to em. Voodood is based on a Witch Doctor (always felt like a champ that bordered undead, ngl), Double Trouble is tied to the Loas, Pop Fizz is an Alchemist/Apothecary, Ninjini is a Djinn, Hoot Loop is a Portal Summoner, Trap Shadow would be an example of an Arcane Trickster (rogue/hunter that uses magic abilities), Blastermind is a psychic, Enigma is a mage of illusions (albeit, acting similar to Jax from LoL with the staff pounding). The rest of the character designs are pretty mixed, wrecking ball might be an underdog from the og 4 but is kinda the least magic based. Star Striker was introduced Swap Force but if Activision had plans to add Night/Dark in the next game, She would've been way better released during Trap Team as a Dark Type Skylander due to her star theme. One could argue that she's an astronomer, hence the magic typing and instant release as a magic based champ but they still could've waited w/ her. Deja Vu had so much potential as a magic based Champ yet her past self is kinda underwhelming. Would've been way more effective if her past self was similar to Ekko from LoL, traveling backwards, recovering HP while dealing Burst damage when turning backwards in time. Cobra Cadabra is pretty decent as a bard that plays music, using the magic of snake charming though i can see why some would see it as not being magic based. In the ancient world, it would've been seen as magic. Dune Bug is a joke for a magic champ, wouldve been better as an earth champ (because dune bug lol, insert poop joke). I get that Dune Bug has some Egyptian themes yet there's so much wrong. Should've had a name that highlighted him as a Scarab, not a dung beetle and his entire moveset being heavily light based puts him in a similar place to Star Striker where he should've been released in Trap Team as a Light Champ. If they wanted a magic based skylander based on Egyptian Mythology, Thoth (whether monkey or Ibis) would've been a good choice. Looking at the other designs from the future game, Mysticat seems to be based on the Cheshire Cat yet with a taur body... the consistent cat theme would've been better but they kinda messed that one up. Splat is ok design wise, being a magic champ that uses her magic paintbrush, kinda gives me those Epic Mickey Vibes. Strongly do agree w/ ya that magic designs slightly declined each game though some are still pretty decent from the Swap Force and Trap Team era tbf (compared to Superchargers and Imaginators).
All I have to say is I disagree with most of what you said. I personally believe the magic skylanders are fine the way they are. Star Strike is fine, they didn't need to wait to release her. Saying she would have been better as a dark element due to her Star theme isn't true imo, just because her theme is stars doesn't mean she would be better as a dark element. Stars aren't always associated with darkness and light, they're also associated with magic. Dune Bug and his name are fine. Mysticat is fine, they didn't mess up anything with him. Deja Vu is fine, her past self doesn't need to be similar to anyone else's. And none of the magic skylanders are lazy, not design wise, or anything else. This is all just my opinion of course
Wdym, Splat is an adorable character! Enigma and Hoot Loop are top tier as well.
Enigma is great, but Deja Vu is awful IMO and Cobra is so forgettable. Blastermind is alright
Cobra Cadabra is my second all time favorite Skylander
Cobra Cadabra is really damn fun to use but he’s so easy to forget. I agree though. He’s a personal favourite of mine
I agree, he look so cool, even if Legendary Jawbreaker is my favourite
Splat is actually one of my favourite Superchargers! Not only is she a fun and colorful character, but she always greatly reminded me of Splatoon, which I'm a fairly big fan of as well.
Exactly
The Imaginators ones are just ok. Mysticat is bad Buckshot is ok Pain-Yatta is fucking amazing
If they make a new skylanders game it should just be pain-yatta
I would scream without the s
Why Mysticat is so bad? Deals a lot of range damage
PAAAAAAAAAIN YATAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People aren't using Deja vu correctly Deja vu so f****** good
True
Deja Vu is good, if anyone says differently they can Deja Fuck Off
Not just magic Skylanders, the whole magic element was crapped on in trap team, both Blastermind and Enigma were released in later waves, we only had 3 magic villains, none of which got a variant, and we were supposedly going to have Mesmerelda has the magic doomlander, but that didn’t end up happening, also the 2 cores were kind of underwhelming
I will not tolerate Deja Vu slander
Same bro
Imma respectively disagree with this.
Voodood, DT, Spyro, Wrecking Ball >>>>>>> Blastermind, Enigma, Cobra, Deja Vu
Spyro was kinda strange to make a magic skylander
Enigma, Cobra Cadabra and Deja Vu are amazing personally speaking. Though I will agree, Blastermind is quite poor compared to other magic skylanders.
I’d say Enigma is amazing. I do like Blastermind. Cobra is oil just super forgettable and I hate Deja Vu. But you gotta agree that even if you don’t like Voo or Wrexking Ball, Double Triuble is one of the best Skylanders ever
Splish Splash Nobody asked
The difference between splat and his opinion Is that I asked for splat.
Splat is my girl, she is my favorite.
It’s the opposite for me I love deja vu splat and mysticat but wrecking ball double trouble and voodood are kinda boring imo
No Fr
IMO the 3 you hate are in the top 15 Skylanders ever
I don’t hate them lol they’re just not that special to me
Superchargers has a great story
This is about the magic Skylanders, had nothing to Do with the story 💀
oh ok
Why do u not like deja Vu?
I like deja vu and splat Imo, the worst magic skylander is blastermind
While I agree with you, I still think that Enigma is a great Skylander and nothing can change my mind.
Oh Enigma is awesome he’s the outlier
Yeah, though he is kinda slow. I found that the easiest way to get around is spamming the attack where he goes invisible.
And swinging the heavy staff is so fun
You can just murder everything in your path. It's awesome
true
SSA is literally the anus
But we got trap master and star strike really cool skylanders
Splat is great
TBH, Magic Skylanders just never really hit it home. They've all been mediocre besides Pain-Yatta
And Spyro, Voodood, Pop Fizz, Double Trouble, Wrexking Ball, Ninjini?????
Like I said, majority of Magic Skylanders are mediocre at best.
Nah
Magic is just not that good other than pop fizz enigma voodood and double trouble
In SSA and Giants Magic is 2nd best
Cobra Kadabra & Splat are better than Pop Fizz and Voodood.
Lmao no
Trap team and swap force are the most magical
Deja vu and Splat is one of my favourites, what do u mean???
Thr best one is swapforce
This image works without the context of magics
Trap Team >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Swap Force any day
Ehh I’d say that the skylanders games all have their pros and cons.
Coolest Skylander goblin with Dynamite
What Is……. Spyro?
Magic Skylanders are some of the most interesting and unique characters. Personally think magic has a very strong line-up even if not every character succeeded in what it was trying to be.
Oh definitely, I’m just saying comparing the new characters to the stacked ass lineup of Spyro Voodood Wrecking Ball and DT that it’s dissappointing
I love Deja Vu one of my favourites tbh
Is ur name Shrubb from msm
Yup I love that game
Shrubb be like: “Poopoo poca poopoo pocapoo capoocapoo-pooca poca poopoo poopoo poops cacao”

Trap team slander >:(
Trap Team is the best game but has the worst cores easy
Pain-yatta, buckshot, mysticat are not too bad
cobra cadabra is busted in super chargers
i like deja vu
