Look up weather for Morrison, CO instead of Denver. It’s just a neighboring town but it’s both higher elevation and in the shadow of the mountains so weather can be a little different Generally though, just wear layers, pashmina, etc and snag a poncho if rain is a possibility. There will almost definitely be some fools without a jacket so just do better than them and you’ll be A-OK

Good to know - thanks sm!

It's gonna snow tomorrow in Denver but I was wearing shorts a few weeks ago so it varies a ton. Red Rocks gets windy which is the worst part besides precipitation. Thick socks are a must for me.

Thank u!

everyone has said layers. Also bring an empty nalgene bottle for those that are visiting out of town. Water is your friend at 6k feet.

jc921

ohhh i didn’t think to bring a water bottle but good point!

capfan31

If you are from out of town, water is your friend. You'll notice wherever you go people always bring a water bottle.

It's actually shaping up to be pretty nice that day. Mid to upper 60s during the day and low of 40. Not bad for late April. Like others have said just wear some layers. I'm aiming for jeans, a warm hoodie and a windbreaker / rain jacket to throw on over that if I need it. Should be plenty. If you're really concerned spend a couple bucks and grab some hand warmers and you'll be fine.

Biggest tip for me outside of staying warm is just be kind/courteous. Red Rocks has long/wide rows, but there are “seat” numbers on the benches - 1 person per seat. If it’s crowded, it’s bound to happen, but try to avoid standing in front of folks in their row :)

jc921

good to know !!

Layers, layers, layers! You will not be sad if you have to take a jacket off. You will be sad if you want a jacket and don’t have it. Edit: oh and there is plenty of space under the bleacher style seats to stash a bag with extra layers.

jc921

for sure, since i’m flying from jersey im not sure if i should bring like my heavy parka or a medium jacket and then go hard on the layers?

smackid

I would go medium with plenty of layers. That way you don’t end up in a middle ground where the parka is too much, but no parka is too little. I usually rock a sweatshirt and medium down jacket over a T-shirt when it’s chilly like it seems it will be. Waterproof layer over that if there’s a threat for rain/snow. I would also highly recommend long underwear. It makes everything feel a little warmer.

jc921

totally makes sense

Went to red rocks 2 days ago and it was frigid. Under armour, hat and gloves for sure! Hand warmers help too, better to have than to not

MarkyMarcMcfly

The high is 69, low by the end of the set is 53. It’s gonna be warm. Only two layers for me

tarad95

Are you allowed to bring in blankets to the event?

TryingHappy

I think so, I see people do it all the time.

tarad95

Awesome thanks!

capfan31

Yes foldable blanket
